Abstract

Limit of a function is the main of calculus that teached in high school. The concept is the value of a function gets closer or approaches some number. This research focuses on finding the use of the limit function concept in every sectors in our daily, inside and outside the mathematic. This research was conducted to increase motivation to students in studying limit of functions in school and to become a source of knowledge for others. The research method used is study literature. The result of this reseach is the concept of limit function widely used in various sectors of life. In engineering, the concept of limit is used to calculate the speed and maximum output of a machine. In science, the concept of limit exists in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. In the health sector, the concept of limit is used in the eye checkup and in daily, the concept of limit is used with the expression almost, that something is only close, but does not happen.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' understanding to solve arithmetic sequences and series questions. The subjects of this study were students who are in the 12th grade at SMAN 2 Garut, and they were 77 persons has been selected randomly from two study groups with the same teacher. This research applied descriptive quantitative techniques. The research result shows that students' ability is still low in solving arithmetics questions. This research found that there are three categories of students based on their achievement scores, namely the low category with a percentage is 42%, the medium category with a percentage is 36%, and the high category with a percentage is 22%. Some factors causing students’ errors are ineffective learning, uncarefully solving questions, and students have been lack of understanding of the material.

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, conventional learning evaluation media has shifted to digital to overcome various limitations at that time. Google Form is an alternative, namely a digital questionnaire to collect data more practically. Currently, the sustainability of using Google Form as one of the digital evaluation media after the pandemic in Indonesia has subsided has not been proven. Therefore, this article presents research on how the portrait of the use of Google Form at SMA Al-Falah Bandung by examining its advantages and disadvantages to be taken into consideration. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by conducting interviews with teachers and distributing questionnaires to students. Our research shows that Google Form has advantages, namely varied forms of questions, simple features and appearance, flexible functions in learning, accelerating the management of evaluation results, ease to use, increasing technological capabilities, and realizing paperless trends. The disadvantages are the need for adequate devices, requiring a stable internet network, features and appearance that are no longer relevant to the needs of teachers.

Abstract

Humanistic learning theory is one of the most important theories in educational psychology. This theory emphasizes the importance of individual experiences and how these experiences affect the way individuals learn. The main goal of humanistic learning theory is to understand students' motivations and how these motivations affect their learning achievement. learning is not only about memorizing material but more than that learning is how someone is free to find their own way and can do it anywhere. As long as it brings good results for him. According to Humanistic theory, the purpose of learning is to humanize humans. The learning process is considered successful if students understand the environment and themselves. Students in the learning process must strive to be able to achieve self-actualization little by little.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the influence and effectiveness of using the jarimagic method affect the ability to count for elementary school students. The subjects in this study were elementary school students in classes I–VI at Umi Najla's tutoring place. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The focus of this research is on the effect that using the jarimagic method taught in tutoring has on the numeracy skills of elementary school students in their learning process at school. The techniques used for data collection are interviews and documentation. Researchers used analytical techniques with several stages, namely the processes of data collection, data display, and drawing conclusions or verifying results. The results of the study showed that the jarimagic method used was able to have a fairly good effect, especially in improving students' numeracy skills. Before getting to know the jarimagic method, as many as 84.6% of students carried out arithmetic operations using books or notes. Although most of the students take lessons against their parents' wishes, they still feel happy learning this method. In fact, from the research results, it is known that the majority of students feel that the jarimagic method is easy, and 61.5% of students have mastered this method in less than 1 year. The students also found math to be easier after they mastered the jarimagic method.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengkajian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan kekeliruan yang dialami siswa serta menganalisis faktor penyebab kekeliruan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis eksploratif bersifat kualitatif yang dilakukan di salah satu bimbingan belajar di Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah metode tes tertulis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 13 orang yang merupakan siswa kelas IX. Berdasarkan analisis data yang sudah dilakukan, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kesalahan siswa dalam menentukan solusi dari soal Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel adalah: (1) Kekeliruan konsep, (2) Kesalahpahaman dalam memahami soal, (3) Kekeliruan hitung. Faktor penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa mengenai konsep Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel, kurangnya latihan menyelesaikan soa-soal Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel dan kurangnya ketelitian dalam menentukan solusi dari soal.
