Abstract

Pengobatan sendiri (self medication) merupakan upaya yang paling banyak dilakukan untuk mengatasi keluhan atau gejala penyakit, sebelum memutuskan mencari pertolongan ke pusat pelayanan kesehatan/ petugas kesehatan. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Air Lintang Kecamatan Tempilang mengenai penanganan sendiri terhadap nyeri menggunakan obat anti nyeri.Metode: Dengan rancangan penelitian deskriptif, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental samplingdengan jumlah sampel 355 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi.Hasil: Dalam penelitian didapatka, pengetahuan masyarakat cukup yaitu sebanyak 195 (54,9%) responden, pengetahuan baik yaitu sebanyak 116 (32,4%) responden dan pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 44 (12,4%) responden. Dilihat dari karakteristik, responden berumur 26 – 35 tahun sebanyak 222 (62,5%) responden, 36 - 45 tahun sebanyak 67 (18,9%) responden dan 46 – 55 tahun sebanyak 66 (18,6%) responden. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin, perempuan 210 (59,2%) dan responden laki- laki 145 (40,8%). Berdasarkan pendidikan responden berpendidikan SMA yaitu 146 (41,1%) responden, selanjutnya berpendidikan SMP sebanyak 93 (26,2%) responden, berpendidikan SD sebanyak 86 (24,2%) responden, berpendidikan S1 sebanyak 19 (5,4%) responden, berpendidikan DIII sebanyak 6 (1,7%) responden, tidak sekolah sebanyak 3 (0,8%) responden, dan berpendidikan D1 sebanyak 2 (0,6%) responden. Berdasarkan pekerjaan sebagian besar masyarakat Desa Air Lintang bekerja sebagai Ibu Rumah Tangga, buruh harian dan wiraswasta.

Abstract

People in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands are still using medicinal plants inherited from their ancestors, especially in rural areas that are still far from the reach of health facilities organized by the government as a promotional, preventive and curative effort in overcoming health problems. Gambir leaves are a medicinal plant used to lower blood sugar levels which are used by ethnic Malays in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands. As to achieve the goal of the use of traditional medicine for public health, scientific evidence of quality, safety and efficacy is needed. How is the effectiveness of gambier leaves as a traditional medicine to lower blood sugar in ethnic Malays in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands. Observe the clinical effectiveness (effectiveness) of the use of gambir leaf boiled water as a traditional medicine to lower blood sugar and determine the safety of the liver and kidneys of ethnic Malays in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands.  Development of a study of traditional medicine formularies used in patients with hyperglycemia disorders and found natural medicinal ingredients to be the most effective and without side effects on the liver and kidneys

Abstract

Many types of plants can be explored as ingredients in traditional medicine. One of the uses of plants as traditional medicine is herbal concoctions for postpartum mothers. Traditional healers (Hatra) use herbal ingredients in the treatment of postpartum mothers who have prepared these herbs in ready-to-use medicinal dosage forms (solid dosage forms such as pills, powders, and parem). The use of herbs or herbs should pay attention to the aspects of monitoring the distribution and supervision of traditional medicines. This research activity is carried out to increase public knowledge in the form of training in making traditional medicines and providing information related to registration and distribution permits for traditional medicines. The type of research used is experimental design with the pretest-posttest only control group. The intervention method used is providing counseling, discussion, and training in making traditional medicines in the treatment of postpartum mothers. The study was conducted in the Mentok Subdistrict in Tanjung Village, West Bangka Regency from March - to October 2020. The study used 29 people with total sampling techniques (health cadres and mothers of Family Welfare Empowerment) and analyzed bivariate using the dependent t-test. The results of this service activity resulted in 4 traditional herbal remedies for delivery, namely parem stomach and body parem to clean dirt / dirty blood, brewed herbal medicine to remove stiffness/increase stamina, and brewed herbal medicine to avoid colds. The conclusion is that service activities are effective in increasing skills in making traditional herbal medicine for delivery and increasing the number of people who know how to make herbal medicine for delivery, which so far has only decreased in one family.
