Abstract

Motivation is an encouragement or strength that can lead to a positive level of willingness for a person or study group and make a person study learn harder, more persistently and actively in the learning process. However, several surveys state that the motivation of students in learning is still low, therefore there is a need for a change that makes learning more interesting and increases the motivation and critical thinking of students. Innovation in the field of education continues to be carried out by the government to support the times. Many things can be developed in the learning innovation process, including from the aspect of educators, students, learning resources, and educational units. One of them is a cooperative learning model that can be developed in the Think Pair Share (TPS) type of learning process. The learning model is an effective way to create variations in the atmosphere of class discussion patterns. Think Pair Share (TPS) of exchange ideas with a partner is a type of cooperative learning designed to influence student interaction pattern. With the Think Pair Share model, especially in social studies lessons, students will be able to develop critical thinking skills and answer in communication with one another, as well as work to help each other in small groups. The method used in this study is a qualitative, descriptive research method with a library approach, namely by browsing the literature relevant to the topic of discussion. The results of this study indicate that the influence of the TPS learning model on student’s critical thinking.

Abstract

Wonosobo district is a mountainous area that is prone to natural disasters. Entering the rainy season, all people are asked to be vigilant and alert to the threat of landslides. Disasters are a common thing experienced by the community and become a problem in it self. Facing a disaster there is no need to panic but be alert, build disaster mitigation and carry out socialization. People who are used to dealing with disasters will have local wisdom in disaster mitigation. Local wisdom is the experience of events that have occurred in the area. This research was conducted in Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency. Kejajar sub-district is one of the sub-districts in Wonosobo district which is prone to landslides and there have been flash floods that submerged dozens of houses. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a functional structural approach related to the community. The purpose of this study is to analize disaster mitigation efforts based on local wisdom by the people of Kejajar sub-district. The result of this research community has a common awareness to carry out disaster mitigation, namely by their habit of going out of the house to a place that feels safer and carrying goods/securities when it rains continuously with a high intensity of more than 2 hours. Periodically a maximum of once a month, the community carries out mutual cooperation activities or community service to clean ditches, rivers and carry out reforestation and do not forget to hold socialization about floods, landslides and no less important is the understanding that the community has that they aremust be wise to nature.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education in Indonesia has received less attention from both the world of education and society. Basic Entrepreneurship Education must be instilled early on which can be applied starting from SD/MI or SMP/MTs. Entrepreneurship education aims to develop attitudes, souls and abilities to create something of value for oneself and others. Being creative, innovative, independent, leadership,good at managing money, and having an unyielding spirit are some of the entrepreneurial attitudes that need to be instilled in children from an early age. This needs to be instilled early on because the various economic challenges facing our country are getting tougher. These entrepreneurial values become important points in the formation of life skills in children. The formation of life skills is not only through family education, but entrepreneurship education can be implemented in an integrated manner with learning activities in school. Junior High School (SMP) students can be trained to develop entrepreneurial attitudes, souls and abilities through various creative activities that can be integrated with the applicable curriculum. Various strategies and methods that can be used by teachers to cultivate good values from the character of a successful entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship education taugh since junior high school is expected to be able to reduce consumptive patterns in children by training them to create something of value and bring the next generation to create job in the future. So in this case, teachers and parents have an important role to play in developing children’s life skills and fostering interest and potential in children through entrepreneurship. This study aims to determine the model of entrepreneurship education at SMP Negeri 3 Leksono District, Wonosobo Regency. This research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study indicate that (1) the implementation of entrepreneurship education at Leksono 3 Public Middle School by incorporating entrepreneurial character is integrated into learning. The characters instilled in students are leadership, responsibility, discipline, creative, innovative, dare to take risks, work hard, cooperate and be communicative; (2) the evaluation of the entrepreneurship education model at SMP Negeri 3 Leksono is carried out by direct practice in the field starting from planning, spending, production, marketing, to preparing reports; (3) the inhibiting factors are children who have not discovered their talents and lack of support from parents.

Abstract

Through research that will be carried out on groups of class IX A students at SMP Negeri 3 Leksono, Wonosobo Regency, the aim is to describe the role of character education through disciplinary activities. This study uses qualitative research methods, the main instrument is the researcher himself. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, documentation and questionnaires. using the credibility test data validity test (internal validity). The credibility test is carried out by extending observations, increasing persistence in research, triangulation, discussions with colleagues, analysis of negative cases and member checks. The credibility test used is triangulation. This research was conducted at Leksono 3 Public Middle School, Wonosobo Regency from March to April 2022. The results of the study show that the disciplinary activities at SMP Negeri 3 Leksono to implement character education have been going quite well. This activity is carried out with disciplinary activities lining up outside the classroom before entering class to start learning, tadarus activities together, singing the Indonesia Raya song, every Friday there is Friday charity, midday prayers in congregation at the school prayer room. The method used to carry out these activities is the habituation method. Efforts to form the disciplined character of students in schools include everything that influences students to help them understand and adapt to environmental demands.
