<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Proporsi penduduk di atas 60 tahun di dunia di perkirakan akan terus meningkat. Perkiraan peningkatan dari tahun 2000 sampai 2050 akan berlipat ganda dari sekitar 11% menjadi 22% atau secara absolute meningkat dari 605 juta menjadi 2 miliyar lansia (WHO, 2014). Dari tahun 2010-2014 pertumbuhan penduduk Indonesia setiap tahun terus meningkat, dari 3,54 juta per tahun menjadi 3,70 juta per tahun. Saat ini jumlah penduduk usia lanjut berkisar antara 27 juta (angka nasional), dan di prediksi pada tahun 2020 akan menjadi sekitar 38 juta atau 11,8%. Penduduk lanjut usia di dunia akan meningkat hingga 77,37%, sedangkan pen ingkatan usia produktif hanya mencapai 20,95%. Pada decade decade tahun 20 05 sampai dengan tahun 2025 dari data Dinas Sosial Provinsi Lampung penduduk lanjut usia banyak terdapat di Lampung Selatan.Tujuan setelah dilakukan kegiatan diharapkan para lansia, khususnya di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Lampung Selatan yang masih aktif bisa melatih produktifitas dan kreatifitas nya sementara pra-lansia memperoleh kesadaran dini agar menua dengan sehat, mandiri dan tetap aktif.. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan pada hari Selasa, Tanggal 08 Desember 2018. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah disertai dengan pemutaran video contoh lansia yang aktif dan produktif di dunia dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab dan diskusi kepada peserta lansia. Hasil evaluasi terdapat perubahan pengetahuan lansia setelah dilakukannya kegiatan PKM (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat). Adapun saran dari penyelenggara kegiatan PKM untuk petugas di UPTD. PSLU Tresna Werdha agar lebih aktif atau lebih sering melakukan kegiatan supaya para lansia makin aktif dan produktif .
