Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the factors that cause children to drop out of school; (2) the impact of children dropping out of school and (3) efforts to overcome dropouts in Seteluk Village, Seteluk Sub-district, KSB. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques in this study using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study found (1) the factors that cause children to drop out of school are low interest or willingness of children to go to school, schools are considered unattractive, inability to attend lessons, family economic conditions, lack of parental attention, less supportive environment, and less harmonious parental relationships. ; (2) There are four negative impacts of dropping out of school in Seteluk Village, namely limited insight or knowledge in children, having a sense of inferiority, children's emotional maturity will be increasingly hampered and become unemployed; (3) Efforts to overcome dropouts in Seteluk Village can be carried out, namely parents monitoring academic abilities, parents paying attention to children's personalities, providing scholarships and free school assistance for underprivileged children, increasing the role of the government in solving educational problems, and infrastructure development programs that evenly so that the Seteluk Village community can hone their skills and knowledge.

Abstract

Basic Competencies of Sociology subjects in SMA/MA show the potential for developing local wisdom-based learning as an effort to strengthen students' character. For this reason, it is necessary to prepare learning tools, in the form of textbooks which should also be in accordance with the needs for achieving the intended KD. The textbooks referred to in fact have not been developed by Sociology teachers at SMA/MA in North Lombok. Therefore, a research was conducted with the aim of producing a local wisdom-based sociology textbook that could be implemented as an effort to strengthen the character of SMA/MA students in North Lombok. For this reason, development research was carried out with activity stages, namely needs analysis, drafting of textbooks, validation tests by a team of experts, and revisions. The results of the study show that textbooks based on local wisdom are needed because they are a necessity to help students achieve the predetermined KD. Textbooks based on local wisdom of the people of North Lombok are also not yet available. This makes Sociology learning in SMA/MA in North Lombok not contextual, and does not contribute to strengthening students' character. Based on the needs analysis, a draft textbook for class XII semester II which consists of two chapters is drawn up according to the number of KD knowledge that is targeted to be achieved in that semester. The innovation in the textbook is to integrate the local wisdom of the people of North Lombok to illustrate the various existing materials, so that the material in the textbook is interesting, easy to understand and meaningful, which is not only building knowledge but also as an effort to strengthen character. The results of expert assessments of textbooks are very good and are ready to be tested for their effectiveness, which is planned for the next stage of research.

Abstract

This paper discusses the values, barriers, and social impacts of the Sasak Traditional Marriage Procession in Bayan, North Lombok Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The theories used are value theory, cultural theory, and social theory. The research findings are (1) Values ??include: a) mutual cooperation values, b) kinship values, c) solidarity values, d) religious values, e) cultural values, f) spiritual values. (2) The social barriers to implementation the traditional Sasak wedding procession in Bayan, North Lombok include (1) Structural Barriers; which includes (a) differences in social stratification; (b) maintaining the status quo; (c) education level; (d) economic differences (2) Religious Barriers, and (3) Cultural Barriers consisting of (a) vested interests; (b) ethnocentric, (c) cultural differences in society, (d) conventional nature of society. (3) The Social impact of Sasak customary marriage in Bayan consists of (1) assigned status; (2) The existence of new social roles; (3) marginalization, (4) group disorganization; (5) acculturation; (6) decrease in social mobility; (7) cultural colonialization; (8) personality changes.

Abstract

Bullying merupakan salah satu tindakan perilaku agresif yang disengaja dilakukan oleh seseorang atau sekelompok orang secara berulang-ulang dan dari waktu ke waktu terhadap seorang korban yang tidak dapat mempertahankan dirinya dengan mudah. Kasus bullying kini marak terjadi, tidak hanya di masyarakat namun kasus ini terjadi di dunia pendidikan. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, pelu dilaksanakan sosialisasi terkait implementasi model penanaman nilai kesetaraan gender guna mencegah tindakan bullying di lingkungan sekolah. Model ini dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif strategis bagi pihak sekolah dalam menciptakan suasana lingkungan belajar yang harmonis tanpa adanya kekerasan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialiasasi dan penyuluhan kepada guru serta membimbing guru agar memiliki pemahaman akan nilai-nilai kesetaraan gender. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi 3 tahapan, diantaranya: kegiatan awal, kegiatan inti, dan kegiatan akhir. Kegiatan awal meliputi observasi dan FGD bersama mitra dan tim, kegiatan inti adalah pelaksanaan sosialisasi, ketiga yaitu tindak lanjut. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahamn dan kemampuan peserta sosialisasi mengalami peningkatan yang sangat signifikan. Data awal menunjukkan pada aspek pengetahuan awal terhadap pemahaman nilai kesetaraan gender dan dampak perilaku bullying 11,1 % diantara mereka yang memahami, hal tersebut meningkat menjadi 100% setelah pelaksanaan sosialisasi. Selanjutnya pada aspek pemahaman terhadap penerapan model penanaman nilai kesetaraan gender melalui kegiatan sosialisasi, sebelum dilaksanakan sosialisasi hanya 33,3% peserta yang memahami dan pernah mengikuti sosialisasi terkait gender dan setelah pelaksanaan sosialisasi meningkat menjadi 100%. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan baik dan berhasil memeberikan pemahaman yang komperhensif kepada peserta dalam mengimplementasikan model penanaman nilai-nilai kseteraan gender dalam mencegah perilaku bullying.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the social values ​​contained in the local wisdom of nggahi rawi pahu and forms of deviation in youth behavior in Kandai Dua Dompu Village. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used: observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. The research results show that nggahi rawi pahu contains social values, namely: 1) internalized or ingrained values ​​including: mutual cooperation, joint action; 2) the dominant value of high levels of effort to maintain these values ​​includes: a sense of unity and oneness, solidarity, mutual respect; 3) independent values, namely: honesty, trust, keeping promises; 4) values ​​that do not stand alone are characterized by: deliberation, consensus, socialization. The forms of youth deviation include: 1) primary behavioral deviation, characterized by primary rummy, cigarettes, occasional drunkenness, occasional tramadol consumption; 2) secondary behavioral deviations, characterized by drinking mixed beer, using exhaust pipes, racing liars, gambling, racing liars. Then the motives for deviant youth behavior, namely: 1) biogenetic motives characterized by self-desire, to be happy, having no direction in life and 2) sociogenetic motives for deviant behavior include breaking up with a girlfriend, being invited by friends, a supportive environment, lack of parental control, want to be recognized, while 3) the genetic motives for deviant youth behavior include lack of religious education, lack of guidance in life, lack of awareness of religious values.
