Abstract

Everyone's ability in all fields is certainly different, especially related to Indonesian language skills. This ability is, of course, influenced by several factors. One of them is the issue of gender differences between men and women in terms of mastering the use of Indonesian, both in academic and non-academic learning. Indonesian in this case becomes a comparative analysis of the extent to which an individual's ability to master the Indonesian language is. It should be remembered that the Indonesian language should not be ignored in this modern era of globalization. The role of the Indonesian language is very important in shaping the identity of every city where they come from and the extent of their pride and love for their nation and country. The goal to be achieved by the researchers in this study is to analyze the comparison of Indonesian language skills between men and women through the ability test given to the respondents. This study involved 10 students from UIN North Sumatra, of which 5 were men and 5 were women. The use of the approach in this study is a quantitative approach, namely through the calculation of data from the results of tests conducted by researchers. The data being compared is the result of the Indonesian language proficiency test using 3 aspects of assessment reading, writing, and speaking skills. The results of this study indicate that men's Indonesian language proficiency test is better than women's.

Abstract

In essence, education cannot be separated from the so-called learning process (teaching and learning). In this learning process, the need for a strategy or the right way so that later the goals of education can be implemented. The method or strategy is called a method. A good educator is always careful and thorough in choosing the right method to convey material to students. For this reason, this study aims to determine how effective the application of the lecture method and the drill method is in Degree of Comparison’s material. The sample of this research was 20 students of grade 8 SMP Al Falah. Researchers conducted a written test in data collection. The results of data analysis indicate that the lecture method and drill method have not been effective and maximal in the learning process. This can be seen from the average score of students in answering questions.

Abstract

This article examines the crucial role of English consonants in the language development of individuals, focusing on their acquisition and articulation processes. It explores how children acquire and master consonants in the English language, highlighting the significant milestones in their articulation development. The acquisition of English consonants plays a pivotal role in the overall language development of children. It involves the gradual learning of phonetic distinctions and the ability to produce and perceive consonant sounds accurately. This article discusses the various stages of consonant acquisition, starting from early babbling to the development of a more sophisticated consonant inventory. Articulation, the physical production of speech sounds, is a key component of consonant acquisition. The article emphasizes the importance of clear articulation for effective communication. It delves into the challenges that learners may encounter during the articulation process, such as difficulty in producing specific consonant sounds or mastering complex sound combinations. Furthermore, the article highlights the connection between consonant acquisition and vocabulary development. Adequate mastery of consonants enables learners to pronounce words correctly, enhancing their overall language proficiency and communication skills. Understanding the role of English consonants in language development is crucial for educators, parents, and speech-language pathologists. By gaining insights into the acquisition and articulation of consonant sounds, stakeholders can provide appropriate guidance and support to facilitate language learning and address any potential difficulties that learners may encounter. Overall, this article emphasizes the significance of English consonants in language development, emphasizing their role in acquisition, articulation, and vocabulary expansion.
