Abstract

In a construction project, the presence of dense reinforcement between reinforcement has its own problems when casting, namely when compaction it is very difficult to use a vibrator because of the density between the reinforcement. To minimize the negative impact of this, flowing concrete is made so that without using a vibrator, the concrete will self-compact properly. The constituent materials of flowing concrete are aggregate, cement and water. In the process of making cement production will produce carbon dioxide in the air, resulting in air pollution due to cement manufacture. To minimize the impact of air pollution due to cement, in this study, we tried one of the constituents of flowing concrete, namely partially substituted cement, so as to minimize air pollution. In this study, rice husk ash, which is the residue from burning rice husks, was used as a partial substitution of cement. The method used is conducting research in the laboratory. In this study, the variation of husk ash as a cement substitution was 0%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% and 12.5% with the addition of 1.5% superplasticizer. From the results of the study, the smallest diameter of slump flow was 53.17 cm in a mixture of 10% rice husk ash. The largest dry concrete density value is 2482.77 kg/m3 at 10% rice husk ash mixture. The conclusion that can be drawn is that based on slump flow and dry concrete density, the optimal substitution percentage for rice husk ash is 10 percent.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Kemajuan dan perkembangan teknologi beton berkembang pesat. Penggunaan beton saat ini menjadi yang paling banyak dipakai di bangunan konstruksi. Beton mempunyai kelebihan dan kelemahan, Kelebihan antara lain: harga murah, dapat dibentuk sesuai keinginan. Kelemahan yang sering ditemui yaitu di daerah rawan gempa dimana detail penulangan yang rapat-rapat sehingga sulit untuk proses pemadatan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan jenis beton yang mudah dibentuk tanpa proses pemadatan seperti beton alir. Disisi lain ada limbah dalam dunia ini yang tidak dapat dihindari yang perlu di kurangi untuk keseimbangan di alam, salah satu limbah adalah limbah genteng. Dalam penelitian ini abu genteng sebagai bahan tambah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui slump flow dan berat isi pada flowing concrete dengan variasi abu genteng antaralain 0 persen lalu 10 persen kemudian 15 persen, 20 persen, dan 25 persen dengan menggunakan superplasticizer 1,5 persen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan slump flow rerata yang paling besar pada variasi 15 persen yaitu sebesar 56,33 cm sedangkan variasi pada persentase 20 persen yang mendapatkan berat isi paling besar yaitu  berat isi basah dan kering berturut-turut sebesar 2643kg/m kubik   dan 2529 kg/m kubik.  KATA KUNCI : Abu Genteng Padi, Beton Alir, Slump Flow dan Berat Isi

Abstract

In planning a building structure the main aspects that must be considered are strength and efficiency, which in designing the structure must be designed as efficient as possible but its strength is guaranteed. To design reinforced concrete building structures, it is regulated in SNI-2847-2019. Because Indonesia is a country with high seismic activity, in planning high-rise building structures, it must also be designed to be earthquake-resistant according to SNI-1726-2019 regulations. In this study a comparison of the SRPM earthquake retaining structure and the SRPM Dual System with shear wall will be carried out to determine the comparison of performance and efficiency. The results of the analysis in this study show that the maximum drift story value of the SRPM structure in the X direction is 55.655 and the Y direction is 61.171, while for the Dual System structure the X direction is 42.191 and the Y direction is 44.495. The results of the structure performance level analysis with using the pushover analysis method based on REMA 440 of the SRPM and Dual System structures can be categorized under IO conditions (Immadiate Occupancy). For efficiency comparison result the SRPM structure has a reinforcement weight of 263,729.72 kg and a concrete volume of 1643.4 m3, while the Double Site structure has a reinforcement weight of 214,731.38 kg and a concrete volume of 1300.6 m3.

Abstract

In this study, an alternative design of Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan was carried out using an earthquake-resistant steel structure with a dual system eccentrically braced frame. The existing design of Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan uses a concrete structure with a shearwall structural system. Steel structure is chosen as an alternative design because steel material has better ductility and lower weight than concrete, which is good for earthquake resistant buildings. Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan will be designed with a moment-resisting frame structure system in accordance with the provisions of SNI 1726: 2019 on earthquake resistant structure planning, SNI 1729: 2020 concerning building steel structures, SNI 7860: 2020 concerning earthquake-resistant steel structures and SNI 7972: 2020 concerning special moment-bearing steel structure connections. From the design results, the dimensions of the steel cross-section profiles used as beams are WF 500.200, WF 450.200, WF 400.200, WF 396.198, and WF 350.175. Meanwhile, the cross-sectional column profiles are KC 800.300, K700.300, K588.300, K600.200, and K500.200

Abstract

With the addition of the building design age does not only rely on the resistance of the building to the load. Many developments requests lead to buildings that are economical, strong, and according to architectural wishes. In this study, we will compare the effect of column spacing on special moment-bearing frame structures on costs. The method used is to compare 3 buildings with the long span of Building A 3m, Building B 4m and Building C 6m. The three buildings will be compared against Displacement, Building Prices and Structural Performance. From the results of the study, the overall price of the building in Building A (Rp 6,333,433,690) occupies the highest price of the other buildings, followed by Building B (Rp 5,333,852,309), and Building C (Rp 4,362,303,657), Base Force in Building A ( 21833 kN, and 21283 kN) have more resistance compared to other buildings followed by Building B (20010 kN and 19296 kN), and Building C (16348 kN and 15314 kN), and Building performance in Building C (IO) has a level security of the entire building followed by Building B (DC), and Building A (DC)

Abstract

Indonesia is an area located on the path between the Pacific earthquake and the path of the Asian earthquake and at the meeting of four tectonic plates namely the Eurasian, Indo-Australian, Pacific, Philippine plates, called the Ring of Fire. The movement between these plates causes frequent earthquakes that cause forces that propagate into the waveform. This wave causes the ground surface and above to experience vibrations. Abstract

Awareness of the importance of sustainable construction practices and research to explore alternative materials or waste that can be recovered to reduce material use and waste. This was done to evaluate coconut shell ash waste as a partial additive to cement in mortar mixtures. The research carried out aimed to determine the results of the influence of coconut shell ash waste on the absorption value to obtain overall analysis results on mortar mixtures using coconut shell ash additives with variations of 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%. The results obtained on the effect of adding coconut shell ash on the water absorption value show that a mixture of coconut shell ash can make mortar lose water more easily when compared to normal mortar, namely with the highest water absorption value of 9.307% in a mixture of 10% coconut shell ash.

Abstract

The increasing use of concrete in the construction world encourages massive exploitation of the environment that has limestone or karst reserves to be used as the main raw material for making cement, to reduce the excessive use of cement, a way is used to utilize fly ash as a substitute for part of the cement in the concrete mixture to reduce the negative impact of limestone mining activities as well as cement production which contributes a total of 9% of CO2 emissions on earth. In this study, bendrat wire will also be added to determine the workability of fresh concrete mixes. From the results of the study it was found that concrete with fly ash substitution without bendingt wire mixture got an average height of 10.7 cm, while the variation with the addition of bending wire at 3% decreased in the average slump value to 10 cm where the increasing percentage of bending wire made the average slump value go down, seen in the 6% and 9% variations which experienced a decrease in the average height of the slump with a height of 9.7 cm and 9 cm, this can have an impact on the workability of the concrete mix itself, with a higher percentage of bending wire will have difficulty when applying to building construction.

Abstract

Concrete is the most commonly used construction material in the construction industry. Concrete has properties that are resistant to high pressure and extreme temperatures which allows wide use and according to needs. In this research, additional materials were used from glass waste which was processed into glass powder that passed through sieve No. 200. To find out additional characteristics, one of them is to know the effect of the slump value which is planned in accordance with SNI 03 – 2834 – 2000. This research uses the DOE (Department of Environment) method. The results of this research show that the average slump value of concrete aged 7 days, 14 days, and 28 days using glass powder percentages of 0%, 4.5%, 6.5% , 8.5%, and 10.5% are 12 cm, 12 cm, 10.33 cm, 9.83 cm, and 9.33 cm.
