Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Kajian Semiotika Logo Aplikasi Facebook dan Massenger” . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis, menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan makna logo Facebook dan Massenger berdasarkan unsur – unsur ikon, indeks dan simbol menggunakan teori Charles Sanders Peirce. Metode penelitan yang digunakan adalah metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penilitian deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis, menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan serta mengenal tanda ataupun symbol – symbol yang ditemukan pada logo facebook dan messenger penelitian ini dapat dikaitkan dengan analisis semiotika karena didalamnya terdapat tanda makna tersembunyi untuk mengetahui makna ikon, Indeks, dan symbol pada aplikasi tersebut.

Abstract

This study discusses the change in the choreography of the traditional Molapi Saronde dance to the Saronde Kreasi dance in the city of Gorontalo. This research will focus on the changes that occur in the choreography of the Molapi Saronde dance, the creation of the Saronde dance, because along with the times, the dance which was usually only performed at traditional weddings among kings (nobles) has now become a public dance that can be held for entertainment events such as welcoming guests. The purpose of this research is to find out the changes that exist in the traditional Molapi Saronde dance to the creation of the Saronde dance and to analyze further about the changes in the choreographic movement of the Molapi Saronde dance related to the traditional values ​​that exist in Gorontalo. this research is qualitative. Benefits This research provides new knowledge to the millennial generation and tourists who want to know the meaning of each choreographic change in the Molapi Saronde dance and the Saronde Kreasi dance. The results of this study determine the changes and differences in the traditional dance from the Molapi Saronde to the Saronde Kreasi dance.

Abstract

This study discusses the meaning contained in the logo of the Province of Gorontalo in semiotic analysis. Logo is the identity of an institution that represents the history and culture of the institution while semiotics is the science of reading signs both verbally and visually, visual forms make the vision and mission as well as identity reflected in a logo. Just like the regional logo of Gorontalo Province which has various meanings of signs and symbols that reflect the area, for example, the Padi and cotton symbols are inspired by the city government logo which means depicting prosperity and others. There is also an oval pattern in the logo taken from the eggs of the Maleo bird, which is endemic to Gorontalo. There is the fort of Otana and pictures of books taken from our philosophy "adat based on sara', sara' based on the book of Allah. The purpose of the study was to describe and analyze what the meaning of the symbols in the logo of the Gorontalo Province were. The research used semiotic analysis of Charles Sanders Peirce. Semiotics departed from three main elements, which Peirce called the triangle theory of meaning, namely: signs, objects, and interpretants. The meaning of the logo can be studied scientifically with semiotic theory. In Peirce's study, symbols are divided into 3 categories: icons, indexes, and symbols. To analyze the meaning of symbols, Peirce uses 3 semiotic terms: representamen which is a symbol, semiotic object which is a real object of symbol reference, and interpretant which states the relationship between representamen and semiotic objects. Benefits of this research To add scientific insight in the field of linguistics, especially to the use of semiotic theory and to find out creative strategies in promotional activities of a government institution so that they can build a brand in the eyes of the public. The results of this study determine the meaning of the signs on the regional symbols of Gorontalo province. Abstract

The need for a sign system at the Marisa traditional market will make it easier for visitors to get information. Designing a sign system in an attractive, effective, informative and communicative market area will be the right solution. The purpose of the design is to make it easier for visitors to recognize the shopping flow and layout of the Marisa Traditional Market. This study uses a design method with a qualitative approach as a technique in collecting data. The design method is intended to produce a product in the form of a Marisa Traditional Market sign system design. While the qualitative approach is used as a way to find and collect data from the field. The data were then identified and analyzed descriptively using 5 W + 1 H so that it gave birth to a sign system design concept for the Marisa traditional market. Next, the concept is visualized until it becomes the final design in the form of the Marisa Traditional Market sign system
