Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan judul Formulasi Balsem Minyak Atsiri Tanaman Sereh (Cymbopogon nardus (L).Rendle).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan formulasi terbaik dari balsem minyak atsiri tanaman sereh (Cymbopogon nardus (L).Rendle). Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan uji laboratorium. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai Juni 2018 di laboratorium Farmasi Fakultas Ilmu-ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Sains dan Teknologi Jayapura Papua. Sampel Tanaman Sereh (Cymbopogon nardus (L). Rendle) yang digunakan berasal dari Koya Timur Kota Jayapura Papua. Metode Ekstraksi Minyak Atsiri yaitu destilasi uap dan air. Formulasi balsem ditentukan dengan membuat 3 (tiga) Formula Balsem (FI, FII dan FIII) dengan memvariasikan basis balsem yaitu parafin liquidum dengan konsentrasi 7%, 8% dan 9%. Untuk memperoleh sediaan balsem dengan formula terbaik dilakukan uji evaluasi sediaan meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar dan uji daya lekat.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa formula balsem terbaik dari minyak atsiri tanaman sereh (Cymbopogon nardus (L).Rendle) yaitu FI mempunyai warna putih kekuningan; berbau khas minyak atsiri tanaman sereh (Cymbopogon nardus (L). Rendle); konsistensi setengah padat; homogen; mempunyai pH 5,44, menyebar dengan baik dengan diameter 4,9cm; dan mampu melekat dengan baik sekitar 6 detik. Kata Kunci: Balsem, Tanaman Sereh (Cymbopogon nardus (L). Rendle)

Abstract

Lotion is a cosmetic preparation in the form of a liquid emulsion that is used on the hands and body with the aim of moisturizing and softening the skin. Guava leaves (Psidium guajava l.) contain natural flavonoids and phenolic compounds that can act as antioxidants and help protect the body. This study aims to determine the best formula for Guava Leaf Extract Lotion. The active ingredient was taken from guava leaf extract. The formulation was carried out with a concentration of 6% by varying TEA FI 2%, FII 2.5%, and FIII 3%. To get the best formula, observation evaluation, organoleptic test, pH test, homogeneity test, spreadability test, adhesion test, irritation test, and stability test were carried out. The results showed that the best formula for lotion preparation of guava leaf ethanol extract with a concentration of 6% was FI thick, light brown, pH 6.5, spreadability of 5.5 cm, adhesion of 4.93 seconds, no irritation, homogeneous and stable at a certain temperature.

Abstract

Vaccination is the process of administering vaccines by injection into the body or dripping into the mouth to increase the production of antibodies to ward off certain diseases. The implementation of this community service activity uses several methods, namely: the presentation method, this method was chosen to explain the importance of vaccination. Question and answer method, this method is very important to find out the insight of the people in Yanamaa Arso Pir 1 village, Keerom Regency regarding COVID-19 vaccination during the current pandemic. In addition, Sharing Session on COVID-19 vaccination was also carried out. Sharing session are given to the community in providing input and guidance for the material obtained. This activity will be held on November 19, 2021. The results of this service show that the people in Yanamaa Arso Pir 1 Village, Keerom Regency are very enthusiastic about participating in the activity from beginning to end.
