Abstract

Nonlinear time series are time series that are not stable due to a sudden jump. Nonlinear time series often found in financial data. Threshold Autoregressive (TAR) modeling is a time series modeling with a segmented autoregressive (AR)’s model such that among different regimes may have different AR model. This research studied how to obtain the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) estimator for TAR model and examine signification the OLS’s estimator by using t test. This research also studied the other stages of TAR modeling, which are nonlinearity test using Tsay test, TAR model identification by using arranged AR approach and Akaike’s Information Criterion (AIC), and diagnostic test by examining the white noise properties and normality test on the residuals. As an illustration, the TAR modeling was applied on weekly data of rupiah exchange rate against US dollar for period October 4th 2004 to November 7th 2011. The result show that the best TAR model for the data is TAR with threshold value .

Abstract

Queues can occur when the need for a service exceeds the available capacity for that service. This study aims to determine the queuing model for the regional service vehicle apel activity in Banyumas Regency in 2020, the effectiveness of the number officers service, and create a simulation model of the queuing model. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the queuing system at the vehicle service with two officers uses a single-phase multi-channel queue structure, queuing discipline is First Come First Served and distribution arrival is Poisson and services with Eksponensial distribution, so the queuing model used is (M/M/s). From the results of calculations using POM for windows the level of service activity is 50% of the times, the average number of apple participants in the system is 1,33 people, the average number of apple participants in the queue is 0,33 people, the average time in the system is 6,6 minutes and the average time in the queue is 1,8 minutes. Because the results of the calculation (1-r) are 50% of the break time, so the regional service vehicle apel in Banyumas Regency in 2020 officer is enough with two officers and has been effective.

Abstract

Indonesia has been being a country which has the most victims of avian influenza case. Avian influenza is caused by influenza virus H5N1 type. This virus can be transmitted from infected poultry to susceptible poultry and infected poutry to susceptible human. This paper describes an SIR (Susceptible, Infection, Recovery) mathematic model for the spread of avian influenza disease. The basic reproduction number will be obtained for analyzing what are the factors that can influence the epidemic. By the Pontryagin Maximum Principle, it can be seen how is the influence of vaccine as a control to the spread of disease.

Abstract

This article discusses some properties of regular semigroups. These properties are especially concerned with the relation of the regular semigroups to ideals, subsemigroups, groups, idempoten semigroups and invers semigroups. In addition, this paper also discusses the Cartesian product of two regular semigroups. Keywords:ideal, idempoten semigroup, inverse semigroup, regular semigroup, subsemigroup.
