Abstract

Living Values Education Program (LVEP) is one of the educational programs, which can facilitate the students to explore and develop the twelve universal values, which are cooperation, freedom, happiness, honesty, humility, love, peace, respect, responsibility, simplicity, tolerance, and unity. This research aims to know the influence of LVEP towards character building on the 3rd grade students in elementary school, within the topic of nationalism on the thematic learning. This type of research is quasi experiment design by utilizing pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research is the 3rd graders of SD Negeri Pujokusuman academic year of 2017/2018. The selected sample was 3rd graders A, B, and C chosen by using cluster random sampling techniques. 3rd graders in class B as the control group, while 3rd graders in class A and C as group experiments. The control group was given preferential treatment by using the method of storytelling, while the experimental groups were given a treatment using the LVEP. Data collection techniques used is observation and interview. The guidelines for observation is conducted to know whether the students show/perform character nationalism before treatment (pretest), during treatment, and after treatment (posttest). The interview guidelines are used to support the observation, which cover up character of students, learning model character, and implementation of learning before they are treated with certain experiment. The data analysis techniques used was t-test with the level of significance 0,05. The research results show that there are significant impacts during nationalistic character building by implementing Living Values Education Program (LVEP), which is done through storytelling method in thematic learning for 3rd graders of SD Negeri Pujokusuman. Distinction appears vividly in all sub nationalistic character, which is observed during the learning process, namely responsibility, tolerance, cooperation, unity, love, respect, and peace.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the influence of the storytelling method towards the third-grade students’ character in doing cooperation in Pujokusuman Yogyakarta Elementary School. The research is research quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent-group pretest-posttest research design. The subject of the study is the students of class III B and III C Pujokusuman Yogyakarta Elementary School consisted of 49 students. Class III B isconsisted of 24 students and it becomes the class control, while class III C is consisted of 25 students and it becomes the class experiment. The researchers utilized observation sheet as the research instrument. The data analyzing technique was conducted through the first independent sample t-test with the significance 5 % (alpha = 0,05). This research result indicates that storytelling method is significant in increasing the third-grade students’ character in doing cooperation in Pujokusuman Yogyakarta Elementary School. This is proven by the t-test resulted 0,00 < 0,05; so H0 is rejected, it means that there is a significant difference between the average observation result of the students’ character in doing cooperation in the two classes: class control and class experiment. From the research result, it can be concluded that storytelling method enhances the third-grade students’ character value in doing cooperation in Pujokusuman Yogyakarta Elementary School.

Abstract

This study is aimed to examine the nationalism representation of Aisyah film : Biarkan Kami Bersaudara. The film tells about education and difference of belief in the remote area. The problem that appears is one of the causes of nationalism sense in this film, but the nationalism cantt be seen directly, it is hiding behind the sign. This study is a qualitative desscriptive research with semiotic Charles Sanders Pierce approach. The research data is qualitative. The qualitative data in this research are in form of text fragments in the form of words, phrases, sentences or dialogues in the film scene that have conformity with the formulation of teh problem presented. The data source of this research is the film of of Aisyah : Biarkan Kami Bersaudara. Data collection in this study uses the listening metode using note-taking techniques. After the data collected, it is classified based on the type of problem, namely the representation of nationalisme in the film. This is done to simplify the data analysis. The data analysis technique in this research is using interpration base on triangel meaning semiotic method. Pierce is a sign, object and interpretant. The form of natonalism in this film is to sacrifice for the nation, accept pluralism, be proud of diverse cultures, and prioritize the public interest. The most dominant form of nationalism as long as pluralism is received, especially in terms of differences in religious beliefs Aisyah Film : Biarkan kami Bersaudara is one of many ways to use film media to develep a sense of nationalism.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang peran flipped classroom dalam penguatan karakter siswa sekolah dasar pada masa new normal Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian studi kepustakaan. Data dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder berupa buku-buku ilmiah, jurnal ilmiah, dan laporan penelitian. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian meliputi tiga tahapan: organize, synthesize, dan identify. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa flipped classroom memiliki relevansi yang kuat dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter siswa pada masa new normal Covid-19. Aktivitas dalam flipped classroom meliputi kegiatan tatap muka dan pembelajaran online yang berfokus pada proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa. Aktivitas pembelajaran tersebut memberikan kesempatan pada siswa sekolah dasar secara lebih luas untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai moral yang dimilikinya. Pendekatan ini juga mendukung siswa dalam membangun pengetahuan baru, belajar secara efektif dan efesien, dan memperkuat karakter siswa. Pembelajaran melalui flipped classroom mendukung tercapainya tujuan program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) pada masa new normal Covid-19. Salah satu nilai utama PPK yang dapat meningkat dan berkembang melalui pendekatan flipped classroom yaitu nilai kemandirian. Strengthening Character Education in New Normal Covid-19 Periode through Flipped Classroom This study aims to describe the role of flipped classrooms in strengthening the character of elementary school students during the new normal covid-19 period. The method used in this research is library research. The data in this research is secondary data in the form of scientific books, scientific journals, and research reports. The data analysis technique in this research includes three stages: organize, synthesize, and identify. The results of this study indicate that the flipped classroom has strong relevance in strengthening the character education of students during the new normal Covid-19 period. Activities in the flipped classroom include face-to-face activities and online learning that focus on student-centered learning processes. These learning activities provide opportunities for elementary school students to a wider extent to develop their moral values. This approach also supports students in building new knowledge, learning effectively and efficiently, and strengthening student character. Learning through flipped classrooms supports the achievement of the objectives of the Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter’s program (PPK) during the new normal Covid-19 period. One of the main values of PPK’s program that can improve and develop through the flipped classroom approach is the value of independence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan mengetahui keefektifan buku pelajaran tematik-integratif dengan tema “Mari Bermain Sambil Berolahraga” berbasis nilai karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab untuk peserta didik kelas III SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (RD) dengan model Brog Gall. Uji coba produk melibatkan 67 peserta didik kelas III SD 2 Padokan Bantul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan buku pelajaran yang dikembangkan dari aspek kelayakan isi berkategori “sangat baik”, aspek kebahasaan berkategori “sangat baik”, aspek penyajian berkategori “sangat baik”, dan aspek kegrafikaan berkategori “sangat baik”. Hasil untuk nilai karakter disiplin menunjukkan uji-t= -3,110 dengan P sebesar 0,000 dan nilai karakter tanggung jawab menunjukkan hasil uji-t= -4,440 dengan P sebesar 0,003. Selain itu, nilai hasil belajar menunjukkan 100% peserta didik tuntas dalam pembelajaran. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ DEVELOPMENT THEMATIC-INTEGRATIF TEXTBOOKS BASED ON DISCIPLINE AND RESPONSIBILITY VALUES IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLABSTRACT This study aims to: produce and determine the effectiveness of thematic-integrative textbooks with the theme of "Let's Play while Exercising" based on discipline and responsibility values. This study is a Research and Development (R D) with a Brog and Gall model. The tryout involved 67 students of grade III in Padokan Bantul Elementary School 2. This is evidenced by the results of expert evaluation showing the textbooks  developed is terms of the feasibility contents category is "very good", aspects of language category is "very good", aspects of presentation category is "very good", and aspect of grapichlly category is "very good". As for discipline value results of t-test = -3.110 with P values of 0.000 and the value of responsibilities results of t-test = -4.440 with P values 0.003. Moreover, the data of the learning result show is 100% learning mastery. Keywords: textbooks, thematic-integrated, discipline value, responsibiliy value

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan tentang cara menguatkan karakter nasionalisme generasi alpha di era digital melalui Living Values Education Program (LVEP). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kepustakaan. Data dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder yang berupa buku-buku ilmiah, jurnal ilmiah, laporan penelitian, dan sumber lain yang relevan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian meliputi tiga tahapan, organize, synthesize, dan identify. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai LVEPyang mencakup nilai kerjasama, kebebasan, kebahagiaan, kejujuran, kerendahan hati, cinta, kedamaian, penghargaan, tanggung jawab, kesederhanaan, toleransi,dan persatuan memiliki relevansi yang kuat dalam penanaman karakter nasionalisme generasi alpha di era digital. Aktivitas nilai-nilai LVEP yang meliputi kegiatan refleksi, berimajinasi, berdialog, berkomunikasi, berkreasi, membuat tulisan, menyatakan diri lewat seni, dan bermain dengan nilai-nilai yang diajarkan dapat dijadikan sebagai program inovatif dan kreatif dalam proses pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk penguatan karakter nasionalisme anak-anak generasi alpha di era digital darisajian informasi dan budaya yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai pancasila.

Abstract

Based on the data, there are still 38,688 principals who have not adjusted their administrative requirements to the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia concerning the Assignment of the Principals. Many of them do not have a certificate (STTPL) candidate principal. To overcome this problem through community service activities, Alma Ata University conducted a Principal Strengthening Training in Lampung Province in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture. This activity aims to provide certificates (STTPL) and improve principals' managerial, entrepreneurial, and supervisory skills. The implementation through Online Mode is carried out in three stages: (1) On-the-Job Training-1, (2) In-Service Training, and (3) On-the-Job Training-2, and attended by 99 principals. The learning pattern uses the U theory syntax: observation, reflection, and action to solve problems in the learning process and develop good practices. The results of the training activities include that 99 principals have received certificates (STTPL) very satisfactorily, and there has been an increase in managerial, entrepreneurial, and supervisory skills of those who have participated.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to (1) produce textbook based on nationalism using suitable VCT method for students, and (2) examine the effectivity of textbook based on nationalism by using VCT method to improve nationalism understanding of elementary school students.This study is a Research and Development (R & D) with a Brog and Gall model.The validation of products involved 2 experts. The tryout involved 27 students of grade II in Trirenggo I Elementary School through three trials, that preliminary field testing, main field testing, and operational field testing. The data were collected through assessment sheet products,interview, observation, and questionnaire. The data were analyzed with independent sample t test at significance level of 0.05. The results of the study showthat textbook based on nationalism using VCT methode are foasible to use with the “very good” eligibility criteria. The effectiveness is reviewed from the result of t-test and students respon analysis.The results of observations of nationalism character values before and after the study. While the result of the students responds analysis data after using textbook developed from the content of feasibility aspects are categorized as “very good”.Keywords: textbook, nationalism, VCT method

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) indikator karakter nasionalisme yang ada dalam materi pembelajaran, (2) sebaran indikator karakter nasionalisme dalam materi pembelajaran, dan (3) teknik pengintegrasian indikator karakter nasionalisme dengan materi pembelajaran pada buku teks Kurikulum 2013 (buku pegangan guru dan buku pegangan siswa). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analisis konten dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang terdiri atas empat langkah, yaitu pengadaan data, reduksi data, inferensi, dan analisis data. Sumber data penelitian adalah buku teks Kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi 2016 kelas I semester 1 yang terdiri dari empat tema, yaitu tema “Diriku”, “Kegemaranku”, “Kegiatanku”, dan “Keluargaku”. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) semua indikator karakter nasionalisme termuat dalam materi pembelajaran buku teks; (2) sebaran indikator karakter nasionalisme dalam materi pembelajaran sudah merata, kecuali indikator cinta tanah air dan bangsa serta indikator menerima kemajemukan (belum termuat di tema 3); dan (3) teknik pengintegrasian indikator karakter nasionalisme dengan materi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui (a) pengungkapan secara eksplisit dalam materi pembelajaran, (b) lagu, (c) gambar, (d) cerita, dan (e) aktifitas siswa berbasis penugasan. Sedangkan metode pengintegrasiannya menggunakan knowing the good, reasoning the good, feeling the good, dan acting the good.Kata Kunci: karakter nasionalisme, buku teks kurikulum 2013AbstractThis study aims to determine: (1) the indicators of nationalism character that already exist in the learning materials, (2) the distribution of nationalism character indicators in the learning materials, and (3) the integration techniques of nationalism character indicators with learning materials in textbook of Curriculum 2013 (teacher’s handbook and student’s handbook). The type of this research is a content analysis with qualitative approach which consist four steps, that is: data collection, data reduction, inferention, and data analysis. The research source is textbook of Curriculum 2013 revised edition 2016 class I semester 1 consisting of four themes, that is "Myself", "My Hobby", "My Activities", and "My Family". The results showed that (1) all indicators of nationalism character contained in textbook learning materials; (2) the distribution of nationalism character indicator in the learning material be spread evenly, except the indicator of love to the country and the nation and the indicator of acceptance of plurality (not yet contained in theme 3); and (3) the techniques of integration nationalism character indicator with learning material is done through (a) explicit disclosure in the subject matter, (b) song, (c) pictures, (d) stories, and (e) student activities based to assignment. And last, the integration methodes used knowing the good, reasoning the good, feeling the good, and acting the good.Keywords: nationalism character, textbook of curriculum 2013

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to (1) produce an Integrative Thematic SSP based on the Living Values Education Program (LVEP) for Strengthening the Nationalism Character of Elementary Students and (2) determine the effectiveness of the LVEP-based Thematic Integrative SSP to improve understanding of the nationalism character of elementary school students. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D) with a development model from Borg & Gall. This model consists of 10 stages. Data collection techniques used are guidelines for product assessment, observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Data collection instruments used were product assessment guidelines, observation guidelines, questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The results showed the Integrative Thematic SSP based on the Living Values Education Program (LVEP) for the Strengthening of Nationalism Characteristics of Elementary School Students at the initial coaba test stage was known to P 0,000 <0.05 meaning there was a difference between the average observations of the nationalism character values before and after the study, in the test try the field known P 0,000 <0.05 means that there is a difference between the average results of observations of the value of nationalism character before and after research, and in the field test it is known that P 0,000 <0.05 means there is a difference between the average results of observing the value of nationalism characters before and after research. Furthermore, the student assessment sheet on the practicality of the SSP that was developed was categorized as "very good" in terms of the atmosphere of learning, the use of student worksheets, and the activeness of students with a score of 48.07 in the Very Good category.Keyword: SSP, thematic integrative, nationalism, LVEP
