Abstract

Since the enactment of accreditation regulations within the Theological College, there have been Christian groups that have rejected the Theological College Accreditation on theological grounds or the principles of belief held. This Christian sect has established Theological Colleges in Jakarta and West Kalimantan and even holds graduations and issues diplomas and gives academic degrees to graduates, even though they have never submitted an accreditation form to BAN-PT (National Accreditation Board-University). Then how is the existence of this Theological College in the eyes of law and education in Indonesia and the theological response based on the beliefs of the Christian faith? To answer this question, in writing this article the author conducts library research to describe the logical consequences for the Theological College Institutions that do not heed the accreditation activities.

Abstract

In the Millennial Era, some Christian theologians have forgotten and abandoned the doctrine of the Millennial Kingdom which in fact was inherited from the early church fathers. Even more, narrowed and sharper differences are caused by this doctrine, thus creating suspicion among the people through hypocritical Bible texts for self-justification. The presence of this scientific work aims to find out again the main points of truth contained in the Thousand Years doctrine written in God's Word. Whether the Millennium Kingdom is an event that will occur in the future or is currently taking place. In hermeneutic language, whether this Millennial Kingdom is literal (literal) or figurative (figuratively). Therefore, to restore the interest of Christian theologians regarding the attitude towards the Millennial doctrine, a comparative study of the three Millennials is needed which will be presented in the following discussion. For the approach to this study, the author uses library research methods. These efforts will provide an overview for readers to determine how to determine which one is closest to and in accordance with Bible truth. Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia Di Era-millenial beberapa teolog Kristen telah melupakan dan meninggalkan doktrin tentang Kerajaan Seribu Tahun yang notabene warisan dari para Bapa-bapa gereja mula-mula. Bahkan semakin mengerucut dan tajam perbedaan yang ditimbulkan oleh doktrin ini, sehingga menciptakan suasana mencurigai diantara umat dengan memunafikkan teks-teks Alkitab demi pembenaran diri. Kehadiran karya ilmiah ini bermaksud untuk merenungkan kembali pokok-pokok kebenaran yang terkandung dalam doktrin Kerajaan Seribu Tahun yang dituliskan dalam Firman Tuhan. Apakah Kerajaan Seribu Tahun merupakan peristiwa yang terjadi diwaktu yang akan datang atau sedang berlangsung. Dalam bahasa hermeneutiknya, apakah Kerajaan Seribu Tahun ditafsirkan secara harafiah (literal) atau Figuratif (kiasan). Oleh sebab itu, untuk mengembalikan minat para teolog Kristen terkait pengambilan sikap yang tepat pada doktin Millenial dibutuhkan studi perbandigan diantara ketiga paham Millenial yang akan dipaparkan pada pembahasan berikutnya. Untuk pendekatan pada kajian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian literatur. Upaya tersebut akan memberikan gambaran kepada para pembaca untuk menentukan sikap doktrin mana yang paling mendekati dan sesuai dengan kebenaran Alkitab.

Abstract

In this 21st century, deviations from the doctrine of the Trinity have again been echoed by Christian splinters, as previously the teaching of the separation of the person of the Trinity had been anathematized by the church fathers. The most serious danger is the emergence of Independent Baptist fundamentalism (FBI) teachers who camouflage themselves to show the face and motives of the Trinity doctrine in a different packaging, namely: the local separation of the person of the Trinity. This article aims to find the motives for teaching the personal Trinitarian God locally as meant by Suhento Liauw. And find the Biblical basis used to claim that the person of God can be separated locally. Because adherents today often label themselves as true and most Biblical Christians. Therefore, the truth conveyed by this group requires clarification efforts to God's people so that they are not trapped in false teachings. The reason for falsification of the true teaching lies in a very significant degree of resemblance to the original teaching and there is even a very small chance of finding the difference when compared to Christian teaching in general. This study uses a qualitative approach through literature studies with content analysis. In this case the author concludes that the claims and teachings of the Independent Baptist Fundamentalist Christian group (FBI) have the potential to harm Christian faith. ABSTRAK BAHASA INDONESIA Di abad ke-21 ini, terdapat penyimpangan terhadap doktrin Tritunggal yang kembali digaungkan oleh beberapa kelompok Kristen yang bercabang, sebagaimana pada masa lalu pengajaran mengenai keterpisahan pribadi Tritunggal telah dianatemakan oleh bapa-bapa gereja. Bahaya yang sangat serius adalah kemunculan para pengajar fundamentalisme Baptis Independen (FBI) yang menyembunyikan motif dan doktrin Tritunggal dalam bentuk yang berbeda, yakni keterpisahan pribadi Tritunggal secara lokal. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menemukan motif pengajaran pribadi Allah Tritunggal secara lokal seperti yang dimaksud oleh Suhento Liauw dan menemukan dasar Alkitab yang digunakan untuk mengklaim bahwa pribadi Allah dapat terpisah secara lokal. Para pengikut aliran Kristen ini sering mengklaim diri sebagai orang Kristen sejati dan paling Alkitabiah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk menjelaskan kebenaran ajaran ini kepada umat Tuhan agar mereka tidak terjebak pada pengajaran palsu. Sebab, pemalsuan ajaran yang sejati sering kali menyerupai ajaran aslinya secara signifikan dan bahkan sulit untuk membedakan dari ajaran Kristen pada umumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur dengan analisis isi. Dalam hal ini, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa klaim dan pengajaran dari kelompok aliran Kristen fundamentalisme Baptis Independen (FBI) berpotensi membahayakan iman Kristen.

Abstract

This writing employs a qualitative approach to the method of literature research. In their apologetic activities, several Indonesian Christian apologists ended up in court because they were caught in blasphemy laws. The reason is that Christian apologists often consider acts of offense (attacking) other religious beliefs to be included in the scope of Christian apologetics. The Bible does not justify acts of apologetics to insult and demean other religious beliefs but to correct existing misunderstandings. An arrogant attitude in apologetics will cause new problems for apologists by trying to build a wall of enmity (separator) between opponents and the gospel that is conveyed so that it opens opportunities for the gospel to be reviled and rejected, as well as building a bad mindset about the gospel because Christian apologetics is not to win an argument but to pave the way for preaching the Gospel of Christ. Because the success of an apologist lies in a respectful and gentle attitude and behavior accompanied by a pure heart. So the research objective of this scientific paper is to expose the attitude that Indonesian apologists should have and to open the curtain on understanding misunderstandings in understanding offense perspective apologetics.

Abstract

The word "repent" in God draws various interpretations and impacts the concept of God's immoral nature, which cannot be changed or fixed. So, there are members of Christian congregations outside of Christianity who conclude that God is imperfect and not omniscient. The word regret, in its general sense, always has a negative meaning, where the word regret is related to the feeling felt when one realizes that something has been done that has hurt someone and hopes to take it back. At such a level of understanding, God cannot identify with sinful human character. Therefore, the author examines the use of the word through theological analysis with a qualitative approach using literature/literature studies. The goal is to find out how to interpret the word "repentance" attached to God. Then, knowing the translation used has represented the real meaning. Then, the author looks for the use of the word "regret" in the general sense and theology. In conclusion, God can't have feelings caused by sin so that He regrets and causes His nature and character to change because of the behavior of His creation.
