Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the impact of coal particles on the embryo development, egg hatching rateand larvae survival rate of climbing perch fish Anabas testudineus Bloch. The research was done in the wetlaboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Lambung Mangkurat University for six months. Thetreatment in this study was a dose of coal particles exposure to eggs and larvae. The coal particles measuring150 ?m can penetrate the eggshell and interfere with embryo development at the stage of organ formation(organogenesis) and larval development. The eggs were exposed to coal particles 15 mg/litre of water. Itturns hatching rate was 87% lower than without exposure to 98%. Similarly, the larvae survival rate (up today 4) were exposed to coal dust 80% and without exposure to 93%.

Abstract

This study provides a valuable information on the patterns of hybridization in producing Climbingperch’s fry which having a superior character to beneficially supports fish farming. The research wascarried out at Pokdakan Rawa Sejahtera Amuntai, South Kalimantan Province, Indonesia from June toDecember 2018. The hybridization procedures were applied to the selected broodstocks (total 135),which taken from three different types of habitats namely rain reservoirs, monotonous and tidalswamps. A complete random design was used as a research method with three treatments and ninerepetitions. A comprehensive investigation was done to provide the best performance among thetreatments. The results showed that the hybridized fish from monotonous swamp x tidal swamp wasthe most superior across the trials in term of fecundity (18,500 eggs), GSI (18.1%), hatching rate(89.5%), relative length growth (1,375%), relative weight growth (1,850%) and the percentage of birthfemale (84 %) with the lowest mortality rate (29%). For aquaculture practices, the use of the fryunisexual female would increase the fish growth 270% faster than the fry male.

Jurnal Lahan Suboptimal: Journal of Suboptimal Lands 9(1): 23-30.The aim of the study was to compare the performance (survival rate, growth and feed conversion) of climbing perch fish fry Filial 2 (F2) which has superior characteristics with natural fry that are culture in sour swamp waters. The study was carried out in swamp waters, Jejangkit Village, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan for 6 months (January to June 2019). This study compared fish performances generated from F2 fry of nature. Fishes were cultured in net (4 m x 2 m x 1 m) with the same stocking density of 100 fishes/m2 . The results showed that the survival rate of natural fry was 86.6% higher than that of F2 75.3%, but the relative growth of natural fry was 2,325% lower than  F2 3,060% and feed conversion natural fry was 3.03 less efficient than F2 fry 2.62. It was concluded that the performance of F2 fry was better than natural fry, when maintained in acidic swamp waters.

Abstract

This research aims to know the people perception on the increasing of the pond fish culture in lowland swamp, and to know the connection of the people perception with certain factors such as : the family income, extension, the length of business, the main business and the wide of the business areal.The data were compiled by survey using question-answer method which is based on the research variables, in which to get the quantitative data results. Research location was based on the purpossive sampling in Tungkaran villages which had the lowland swamp areal with  had the fish culture in ponds, in Martapura areal, Kabupaten Banjar. Samples were taken by proportional from 30 persons with three strata research population where the family wich stay around the lowland swamp with 20 family, the local paddy-farmer family in lowland swamp with 50 family, and the pond-fish farmer family with 18 family; so that the total research population were 88 family. Analysis data for knowing the people perception on the increasing of the fish culture in lowland swamp, by counting the perception value (PV), while to know that there were conection or not by using Chi-Square Test (X2) (Setiawan, 2005), and to determine how closely the relationship between two variabels used in the test Koefisien Kontingensi (C) (Hadi, 1991).The result showed that : the people perception on the increasing of the fish-pond culture was 44,07%, in which this result indicated in decreasing criteria. The variable in which not connected with the people perception were the family income, the length of time business, the wide of business areal; while the variables which connected to the people perception were extension and the main business/job.

Abstract

Snakehead fish is an important economic fish with increasing economic value because of its distinctive and delicious taste and high protein and albumin content. The development of snakehead fish farming does not develop rapidly, where one of the contributing factors is the continuous availability of seeds. This community service activity was carried out from September to December 2019 with the target audience of the “Mufakat” Fish Cultivator Group, Mahang Baru Village, South Labuan Amas District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The implementation method is through lectures, FGDs, short training, demonstrations, and mentoring. The facilities for hatchery of snakehead fish are in the form of 6 (six) tarpaulin ponds measuring 2.5 m x 1.5 m x 1 m. The results of hatchery activities obtained an average egg hatchability of 84.1% and the survival rate from larvae to 2-month-old seed reached 43.81%. Profits obtained during one production cycle (3 months) reached IDR 10,237,500, -, B/C ratio = 1.83 and return on capital = 1.22 period. The results of the average similarity test to the target audience were found to be successful in increasing knowledge and skills of snakehead fish hatchery after the activity.

Abstract

This study aims to find the level of gonad maturity and fecundity of toman fish living in the habitat of swamp waters Panggang Lake, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, South Kalimantan during the rainy season period. Fish sampling were carried out every month for 3 months from January - March 2018. The method of determining the sampling location is used an analytical survey method (Analytic Survey Research Method). The results showed the gonad weight range of 11.77 to 0.18 grams and the level of gonad maturity varied from GML (gonad maturity level) I-IV, but dominated by GML I. The opportunity for fish populations to have mature gonads based on total length is 63.6% and gonad maturity index (GMI) between 0.05 - 0.73%. Fecundity results obtained 29.67% and egg diameter of 1.57 - 2.05 mm. This data shows that toman fish can spawn during the rainy season, but most of the population was maternity recovery state.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of probiotics incommercial feed on feed quality, enhance increase bactery number in gut mucose and digestibility of nile tilapia (Oreocromis niloticus) through the provision of environmental friendly probiotic feed, determine the effective doses of probiotics in feed that can support the growth fish. The research was conducted for 6 (six)months, from September 2012 until February 2013. The design used in this study was completely randomized design with 4 (four) treatments and 3 (three) replicates, were treatment A (control), B (Probiotics 3%), C (Probiotics 5%) and D (Probiotic7%).The results showed that the addition of probiotic containing Lactobacillus sp.feeding with doses of 3%, 5% and 7% were able to improve the nutritional content,protein values between 32,48%-34,19% and lower crude fiber with values between 5,04-5,70% compared with no probiotics. The addition of probiotics in feed with a percentage of 3%, 5%, and 7% can increase digestibility of nile tilapia and effectiveto increase the nile weight and length growth of nile tilapia.

Abstract

This research to know influence of illumination with percentage closing of different aquarium wall to energy hatch and continuity of baby fish life of kelabau (Osteochilus melanopleura Blkr) and also know different of chemical value and physics at each treatment. Result of research indicate that treatment of C (hatch of egg of kelabau at glasswall aquarium 100% closed) refresenting best treatment because showing energy average hatch egg (%) fish of kelabau biggest with value 63,80% compared to treatment of A (hatch of egg of kelabau at glass wall aquarium 100% open) with value 50,47% and treatment of B (hatch of egg of kelabau at glass wall aquarium 50% closed) with value 54,66%. At result of this research, continuity of fish baby life of kelabau best is treatmentof B (conservancy of baby fish of kelabau at glass wall aquarium 50% closed) that isequal to 71,90%. Compared to the continuity of goldfish baby life at Tables 9, got the continuity of best life at treatment of B (temperature 28°C) that is egual to 65,33%. Result of this research prove that temperature irrigate different aquarium very having an effecton to continuity of fish baby life of kelabau. Temperature irrigate aquarium at treatment B (conservancy of baby fish 50% closed) is 26,5°C that is still in a good temperature gyration to the continuity of baby fish of kelabau.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis substitusi tepung ikan dengan tepung gondang dan tepung kalakai terhadap pertumbuhan, rasio konversi pakan dan tingkat kelansungan hidup ikan gabus haruan (Channa striata). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan.Perlakuan A (pellet tanpa substitusi/Kontrol), B :pellet dengan perbandingan tepung ikan, tepung gondang dan tepung kalakai (50%: 25%: 25%), C :Pemberian pakan pellet dengan perbandingan tepung ikan, tepung gondang dan tepung kalakai (25%: 32,5%: 32,5%), D :Pemberian pakan pellet dengan perbandingan tepung ikan, tepung gondang dan tepung kalakai (0%: 50%: 50%). Parameter yang diamati adalah analisis proksimat pakan, pertumbuhan relatif berat, pertumbuhan relatif panjang, dan kualitas air.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji proksimat terbaik pada komposisi protein perlakuan A (kontrol) 43,5% sedangkan perlakuan dengan subsitusi tepung gondang dan tepung kalakai pada perlakuan B,C dan D berkisar antara 36.22-37,99%. Substitusi tepung gondang dan tepung kalakai mempengaruhi pertumbuhan relatif panjang, tidak berbeda nyata antar perlakuan, pertumbuhan panjang tertinggi pada perlakuan D, sedangkan berat relatif tidak berbeda nyata antar perlakuan, berat relatif tertinggi pada perlakuan D. Kualitas air: suhu, Oksigen terlarut, pH dan amoniak mendukung kehidupan ikan gabus haruan yang dipelihara.

Abstract

Abstrak Permasalahan prioritas yang perlu secepatnya diatasi oleh Kelompok Pembdidaya Ikan ”Panle Bersaudara” adalah masalah semakin mahalnya harga pakan ikan lele dan patin, sehingga diperlukan adanya desiminasi Iptek berupa pembuatan pakan ikan mandiri berbasis bahan baku lokal yang berbiaya murah. Metode penyampaian yang digunakan dalam penerapan Iptek ini adalah: penjelasan teori dan FGD; demonstrasi dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan didapat luaran Iptek berupa pakan ikan mandiri yang memenuhi standar gizi untuk ikan patin dan lele yaitu 30%. Telah dilakukan bimbingan teknis pembuatan pakan ikan berupa: memilih bahan baku yang murah tapi bergizi, memformulasi, penimbangan bahan, mencampur dan mengadon, mencetak dan menjemur serta mengeringkan dan menyimpan. Hasil evaluasi terhadap khalayak sasaran dengan uji t, uji dua pihak sebelum dan sesudah penerapan Iptek, ternyata terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan khalayak sasaran. Faktor pendukung dalam kegiatan ini adalah bahan baku tersedia kontinu, motivasi kuat dalam usaha, sarana prasarana transportasi mendukung, dan tidak terkendala pemasaran ikan. Sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah sulitnya akses modal usahadan anggaran Pemerintah yang terbatas dalam pembinaan. Kata Kunci: Pakan Mandiri, Bahan Baku Lokal, Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan ”Panle Bersaudara” Abstract The priority problem that needs to be addressed as soon as possible by the “Panle Bersaudara” Fish Farming Group is the problem of the increasing price of catfish and catfish feed, so that science and technology dissemination is needed in the form of making independent fish feed based on low-cost local raw materials. The delivery methods used in the application of this science and technology are theoretical explanations and FGDs; demonstration and assistance. The results of the activity obtained the output of science and technology in the form of independent fish feed that met the nutritional standards for catfish and catfish, namely 30%. Technical guidance on the manufacture of fish feed has been carried out in the form of choosing cheap but nutritious raw materials, formulating, weighing ingredients, mixing and kneading, printing and drying and drying, and storing. The results of the evaluation of the target audience with the t-test, a two-party test before and after the application of science and technology, show an increase in the knowledge and skills of the target audience. The supporting factors in this activity are the continuous availability of raw materials, strong motivation in business, support transportation infrastructure, and not being constrained by fish marketing. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are difficulty accessing business capital and the limited government budget for fostering.
