<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian menganlisis efektifitas perlindungan hukum terhadap korban penyebaran berita bohong melalui media Facebook dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian empiris dan dilakukan di Kepolisian Daerah (Polda) Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian bahwa: Efektivitas perlindungan Hukum terhadap korban penyebaran berita bohong melalui media facebook di kota Makassar adalah Sudah Efektif yang di mana dalam hal ini polisi telah melakukan Cyber patrol (patroli dunia maya) menelusuri penyebaran suatu berita di media sosial apakah mengandung kebohongan atau tidak. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektifvitas perlindungan hukum terhadap korban penyebaran berita bohong melalui media facebook, antara lain; faktor substansi hukum, faktor sarana dan fasilitas pendukung yang belum begitu lengkap, serta faktor kesadaran hukum masyarakat yang dimana dalam hal ini masyarakat kesadaran hukum masih sangat rendah dan kadang belum sadar akan dampak hukum dari perbuatan yang dilakukannya. The research objective is to analyze the effectiveness of legal protection for victims of the spread of fake news through Facebook and the factors that influence it. This type of research is an empirical study and was conducted at the Regional Police (Polda) of South Sulawesi. The results of the study show that: The effectiveness of legal protection for victims of spreading fake news via Facebook in Makassar is Effective, in which the police have conducted cyber patrols (cyber patrols) to trace the spread of news on social media whether it contains lies or not. Factors that influence the effectiveness of legal protection for victims of spreading fake news through Facebook, include; legal substance factors, incomplete supporting facilities and facilities, as well as community legal awareness factors, which in this case the community's legal awareness is still very low and sometimes are not aware of the legal impact of their actions.]]>
