Abstract

Penyakit Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan penyakit kronis yang memerlukan edukasi perawatan secara mandiri karena prevalensinya mengalami peningkatan terutama di negara berkembang seperti di Indonesia. Self care adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh individu, keluarga, dan masyarakat dalam upaya menjaga kesehatan, meningkatkan status kesehatan, mencegah timbulnya komplikasi pada penyakit serta mengatasi kecacatan dengan atau tanpa dukungan penyedia layanan kesehatan. Mengingat keluarga merupakan dasar dalam pendekatan dalam manajemen Diabetes Mellitus yang akan memastikan bahwa pasien DM dapat melangsungkan kehidupan dengan kondisi kesehatan yang lebih baik. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan berbasis keluarga terhadap self care management Diabetes Mellitus pada penderita DM di Posbindu Lansia Sakura di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Gondangrejo. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian quasy-eksperiment pretest-posttest without control group. Responden penelitian ini adalah lansia berjumlah 25 orang. Uji statistic dengan menggunakan Wilcoxon diperoleh nilai p value = 0,01. Nilai p value = 0,01 lebih kecil dari alpha 0,05 berarti ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan berbasis keluarga terhadap self care management Diabetes Mellitus pada penderita DM di Posbindu Lansia Sakura di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Gondangrejo. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menambah informasi bagi perawat dalam penatalaksanaan self care management Diabetes Mellitus melalui pendidikan kesehatan yang melibatkan keluarga. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that requires independent care education because its prevalence has increased, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. Self care is the ability of individuals, families, and communities to maintain health, improve health status, prevent complications, overcome disability with or without the support of health care providers. Given that the family is the basis for the approach to Diabetes Mellitus management, it will ensure that DM patients can lead a life with better health conditions. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of family-based health education on self-care management of Diabetes Mellitus in DM patients at the Sakura Elderly Posbindu in the Gondangrejo Public Health Center Work area. This study uses a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest research design without control group. Elderly respondents amounted to 25 people. Statistical test using Wilcoxon obtained p value = 0.01. The value of p value = 0.01, smaller than alpha 0.05, means that there is an effect of family-based health education on self-care management of Diabetes Mellitus in DM patients at the Sakura Elderly Posbindu in the Gondangrejo Health Center Work area. Health education is very important for Diabetes Mellitus patients because it is related to lifestyle and with health education it is hoped that changes in behavior and lifestyle will occur. The health education carried out includes diet, physical activity, blood glucose regulation and foot care. The results of this study can add additional information for nurses in the management of Diabetes Mellitus self care management through health education involving families.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan salah satu penyakit dengan pengobatan jangka Panjang dan seumur hidup. DM merupakan salah satu penyakit sistemik yang mampu memunculkan komplikasi. Salah satu komplikasi yang muncul apda penderita DM adalah Ketoasidosisi Diabetik. Ketoasidosis diabetik (KAD) merupakan komplikasi akut diabetes melitus tipe 1 yang ditandai dengan dehidrasi, kehilangan elektrolit, asidosis dan disebabkan oleh pembentukan keton yang berlebihan. Keadaan ini merupakan gangguan metabolisme yang paling serius dan mengancam jiwa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan peer gorup education terhadap tingkat pengetahuan Ketoasidosis Diabetikum pada lansia DM di Posbindu Lansia Sakura di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Gondangrejo. Responden lansia berjumlah 25 orang. Uji statistic dengan menggunakan Wilcoxon diperoleh nilai p value = 0,01. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a disease with long-term and lifelong treatment. DM is a systemic disease that can cause complications. One of the complications that arise in DM patients is diabetic ketoacidosis. Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is an acute complication of type 1 diabetes mellitus which is characterized by dehydration, loss of electrolytes, acidosis and is caused by excessive formation of ketones. This condition is the most serious and life-threatening metabolic disorder. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of peer group health education on the level of knowledge of diabetic ketoacidosis in elderly DM at the Elderly Sakura Posbindu in the working area of the Gondangrejo Health Center. Elderly respondents totaled 25 people. Statistical test using Wilcoxon obtained p value = 0.01. The p value = 0.01 is smaller than alpha 0.05, meaning that there is an influence of peer group education health education on the level of knowledge of diabetic ketoacidosis in DM sufferers at the Elderly Sakura Posbindu in the working area of the Gondangrejo Health Center. The results of this study can add additional information for nurses in the management of increased knowledge of diabetic ketoacidosis through peer group education health education.

Abstract

Nurse is a profession that has responsibility for the condition of patients and provides nursing services independently or in groups in the health sector, this can cause a workload. Workload is something that arises from the interaction between the demands of tasks and the work environment. The negative impact of the workload is the nurse's communication with other people. Communication is an important aspect that must be owned by nurses in carrying out nursing care. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between workload and the implementation of interpersonal communication between IGD and ICU nurses. This study uses an analytic observational design with a cross sectional approach. This research is conducted on 44 respondents selected using a non-probability sampling total sampling design. Spearmen rank test data analysis test to determine the relationship between workload and the implementation of interpersonal communication between IGD and ICU nurses. The results of the spearmen rank test show that there is a moderate degree of correlation and forms a negative relationship between workload and interpersonal communication. The results show that the P Value is 0.003 (<0.05) with a correlation value of -0.433. This shows that the higher the workload the less interpersonal communication is done. For further researchers, it is possible to involve patients as respondents in research so that they can strengthen the results of the interpersonal communication questionnaire.

Abstract

Families with school-age children are a stage of family development starting from the first child being 6 years old and ending at the age of 12 years. At this stage, the family reaches its maximum number of members. School-aged children often do not pay attention to hand washing habits, especially in the school environment, so diseases such as diarrhea can spread. School-aged children need to be given knowledge about clean and healthy living behavior, one of which is by providing hand washing education. This case study aimed to determine the description of family nursing care at the developmental stage of school-aged children in the Gondangrejo Community Health Center area. This type of research is descriptive using a case study approach method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The counseling uses the lecture method and poster media which contains about hand washing and the 6 steps for good and correct hand washing, accompanied by practicing how to wash hands well and correctly directly. The results of the activities showed that after the counseling was held, the level of knowledge and level of behavior increased, and children were able to understand the importance of washing their hands and implementing clean and healthy living behavior of washing their hands properly and correctly. Recommendation: Handwashing outreach intervention is important to increase knowledge and behavior of clean and healthy living in school-aged children.
