Abstract

Sendang Sikucing is one of the fishing villages located in Rowosari Subdistrict, Kendal Regency. Sendang Sikucing villagers rely only on fish catches, fish catches are not sold at the local Fish Auctioneer (TPI) because they have been tied to middlemen or inhabited the ijon system. This is very detrimental to both the fishermen themselves and reduce the Regional Native Income (PAD). The purpose of this research is to find out how far business knowledge and business behavior to the level of welfare of the fishing community in sendang sikucing village Rowosari District Kendal. Sendang Sikucing residents have a weak economic background and do not have their own capital, so each will go to sea they have to borrow capital to the middleman with the guarantee of fish produced must be sold to middlemen with the guarantee of fish. This research is quantitative research emphasizes the analysis on numerical data processed by statistical methods that examine the factors that occur and the results of the study will describe about "The Influence of Business Knowledge and Business Behavior on The Welfare of Fishermen in Sendang Sikucing Kendal". The conclusion obtained in the study is that the initial hypothesis is very contrary to the research conducted, because the fishing community in Sendang Sikucing village has above average income, business knowledge and business behavior has been applied in this village, because the catch of fish has been managed by themselves has also set aside the results obtained in anticipation if they do not go to sea.

Abstract

Politeknik Maritim Negeri Indonesia (POLIMARIN) Semarang is a vocational higher education institution in the maritime field that annually graduated alumni spread throughout the business world and the industrial world in accordance with their fields.This study aims to look at the level of satisfaction of the business and industry institutions towards graduates of industry practices related to soft skills and hard skills and other elements.The research method is a descriptive method. Method of collecting survey data through questionnaires post fact. The respondents were 30 person as user companies graduated from industrial practice. The questionnaire answers use a Likert scale with calculations to find GAP, where GAP is the difference between the value of reality and the value of expectations of the business and industrial institutions to the quality of graduates. The role of stakeholders can not be ruled out, because they are the users of graduates from Polimarin, especially the first study program KPN. Stakeholder needs and assessment can be used as evaluation tools by Polimarin in improving the quality of graduates, ensuring that graduates have the ability and expertise in accordance with the needs of graduate’s users and used as feedback in order to improve the overall quality of graduates.

Abstract

Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas sebagai pintu gerbang perekonomian daerah Jawa Tengah dan sekitarnya adalah menjadi salah satu terminal arus barang ekspor impor, antar pulau maupun penumpang. Luas Propinsi Jawa Tengah sebesar 3,25 juta hektar yang berarti sama dengan 25% dari total Pulau Jawa dan 1,70% dari total luas Indonesia.  Kontribusi kawasan Jawa Tengah menjadi daerah yang sangat potensial bagi para investor, artinya pertumbuhan industri dan perdagangan akan makin ramai baik pada skala nasional maupun internasional. Letak Jawa Tengah yang strategis telah menyebabkan kawasan ini sangat penting untuk menghubungkan propinsi-propinsi di pulau Jawa, sehingga pada titik inilah peranan transportasi laut menjadi sangat vital. Fasilitas pelabuhan memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam mendukung aktivitas ekonomi, sosial, budaya, serta kesatuan dan persatuan bangsa,terutama sebagai modal dasar dalam memfasilitasi interaksi dan komunikasi di antara kelompok masyarakat, serta mengikat dan menghubungkan antar wilayah. Potensi daerah yang demikian besar tersebut haruslah didukung dengan sarana dan prasarana transportasi yang memadai bila ingin berkembang, salah satu fasilitas yang ada di kota Semarang adalah Terminal Peti Kemas Semarang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 30 orang responden pengguna jasa ekspor barang melalui TPKS. Penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan di kantor TPKS pada saat jam kerja. Hasil Penelitian ini didapat bahwa dari uji Anova atau F tes didapat F hitung 17,506 signifikansi 0,000 krn probabilitas (0,000) jauh lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka X berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelancaran arus barang, setiap penambahan 1point X akan meningkatkan Kelancaran arus barang
