Abstract

Education and training is an effort to develop human resources especially to develop intellectual ability and human personality. Performance of employees is the work result of quality and quantity achieved by an employee in performing their duties according to the responsibilities given to them. From result of data processing, it is found that education and training variable (X) and employee performance variable (Y) fulfill validity requirement where r count> r table (0,361), in reliability test obtained value of variable (X) is 0,696 and value of variable (Y ) is 0,709, it mean both variables are qualified cronbach alpha > 0,6. In t test (partial test) shows that education and training have a positive and significant influence on employee performance with value (tcount10,626 > ttable2,035). And based on the coefficient of determination (R2), the dependent variable is the employee performance (Y) can be explained by the independent variable is education and training (X) with value of R Square is 0,774. Therefore it can be concluded that the performance of employees has a relationship with education and training that is equal to 77.4%. From the analysis of simple linear regression, we get the equation: Y '= 10,734 + 0,803X + e, constant equal to 10,734 meaning if education and training variable (X) = 0, then employee performance variable (Y) value is equal to 10,734. The value of regression coefficient of 0.803 meaning if the education and training variable (X) increase 1 then the employee performance variable (Y) will increase by 0.803.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT.Permata Indo Sejahtera Medan Branch, with the aimof knowing the effect of the recruitment system on employee performance. The datacollection technique used was by distributing questionnaires, the sample in this study was95 people. Analysis of the data used is quantitative analysis with a simple linearregression method and processed using the SPSS 22 program. Based on the results of thestudy, it is obtained partially the Recruitment System (X), t count is equal to (2.523 ) > ttable (1.665) and significance value (Sig .) 0.00 < 0.05. It is concluded that theRecruitment System has a significant effect on employee performance. The R-squarevalue indicates that the 0.717 independent variable Recruitment System (X) is able toexplain 51% of the data variance on the Performance variable (Y). The rest, as much as49% of the variance of the data on Performance is explained by other variables notexamined in this model. PT. Permata Indo Sejahtera Medan is expected to be able torecruit qualified employees in accordance with the recruitment system regulations thathave been implemented to support employee performance towards a better direction.

Abstract

Cervical cancer ranks among the leading causes of death worldwide, with Indonesia experiencing a significant impact, ranking second after breast cancer in the country and eighth in Southeast Asia. The disease affects approximately 500,000 Indonesian women annually, resulting in over 50% are death. Various methods have been developed to treat cancer, one of which is by using radiation therapy or radiotherapy. Based on the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), of the 10.9 million people diagnosed with cancer worldwide each year, around 50% require radiotherapy. The use of radiation for cancer therapy has not been widely used and is still limited in Indonesia. The purpose of this paper is to describe the basic concepts of radiotherapy and radiotherapy techniques that are appropriate in treating cervical cancer. The research method used was a literature search in the form of theory and research data related to the basic concept of radiation and its use in cancer therapy/radiotherapy, especially in cervical cancer. The results of a literature search found that the main goal of radiotherapy is to maximize the therapeutic ratio between Tumor Control Probability (TCP) and Normal Tissue Complication Probability (NTCP). Where the radiation dose received by the tumor is as maximal as possible from the dose prescription determined by a clinical doctor, while the dose that affects healthy organs around the tumor is as minimal as possible. There are 2 methods used in radiotherapy treatment, namely internal radiotherapy (Brachytherapy) and external radiotherapy. The use of appropriate methods for the treatment of cervical cancer is expected to help patients in their treatment and reduce the number of deaths from cervical cancer.
