Abstract

Women who experience menopause are described as experiencing many problems, among others, experiencing physical and psychological changes such as anxiety. The study aimed to determine the relationship between physical changes and anxiety in menopausal women in Pupuan Village. Respondents in this study were women who had experienced menopause who lived in Pupuan Village. This research is a quantitative research with a survey design (non-experimental). The data were collected in a cross sectional manner, because the measurement of the independent and dependent variable was carried out simultaneously. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling with a minimum sample size of 82 people. Data were collected using the Hamilton Rating Scale of Anxiety (HRS-A) questionnaire. The results showed that most respondents experienced physical changes in the moderate category as many as 38 people (46.3%). As for the level of anxiety, the majority of respondents experienced moderate category anxiety as many as 30 people (36.6%). Based on the Chi-Square analysis test result, a significance score of 0.027 (<0.05) was obtained. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between physical changes and anxiety.

Abstract

Warga binaan pemasyarakatan (WBP) merupakan salah satu kelompok rentan (vulnerable population), yang memiliki risiko terjadinya permasalahan kesehatan, baik fisik maupun mental. Permasalahan mental merupakan permasalahan yang cukup sering terjadi, mulai stres sampai laporan kasus percobaan perlukaan diri bahkan percobaan bunuh diri beberapa kali dilaporkan. Hal inilah menjadikan bahwa kesehatan mental di Lapas bukan lagi merupakan “low priority issue”, namun harus diprioritaskan untuk dilakukan intervensi. Salah satu cara yang dilakukan menghadapi hal ini adalah dengan pemberdayaan WBP dalam manajemen stress. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan WBP tentang stres, meningkatkan kemampuan melakukan manajemen stress dan memiliki keterampilan kerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah dengan memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan kepada WBP dalam mengelola stress dan keterampilan kerja. Pelaksanaan program pelatihan ini diawali dengan pemberian materi mengenai stress dan teknik manajemen stress melalui progressive muscle relaxation (PMR), kemudian dilanjutkan latihan PMR dan latihan pembuatan kue. Seluruh kegiatan mulai dari pemberian pengetahuan mengenai stress, pelatihan PMR, dan keterampilan kerja terbukti meningkatkan pengetahuan WBP tentang stress, menurunkan skor self reporting questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20), serta meningkatkan skor WHO quality of life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF). Latihan PMR secara teratur dengan cara melakukan kontraksi pada otot, lalu dilepaskan dapat menimbulkan relaksasi sehingga meringankan stres yang dialami oleh WBP.

Abstract

Due to the Pandemic Situation in 2019, It gave a negative impact on both physical and mental health. Stress causes behavioral and hormonal changes, which improve a person's ability to adapt to environmental changes and survive. This stressful condition may result in a negative response, such as a surge of appetite that tends to be negative, triggering an increase in the consumption of foods high in calories, fat, and sugar. This is linked to the control of emotional eating, which can lead to obesity. As a result, research on the relationship between stress levels and emotional eating during the COVID-19 pandemic is critical. This study's data was collected from 218 students at Warmadewa University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. This study employs a descriptive-analytic approach, with a cross-sectional design and Spearman test analysis. The goal of this study was to determine the relationship between stress levels and emotional eating in FKIK students at Warmadewa University during the COVID-19 Pandemic. According to the results of the analysis, 144 students (66 percent) reported moderate stress, while 100 reported emotional eating (45.9 percent ) This study's ρ-value of Spearman's test is 0.001, with a correlation value of 0.747, indicating that there is a very strong relationship between stress and emotional eating. As a result, this study supports the existence of a link between stress levels and emotional eating among students at Warmadewa University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences from semester 1 to semester 7 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
