Abstract

The research builds an interactive game to help high school students in getting better understanding of Industrial Engineering.. The game is about the flour production company which process are procurement, production and sales, played by a team consisted of four students. After design and construction phases, the game was tried in Tarakanita High school. Using paired t-test for means, it is concluded that there is increasing grade in posttest value. It means after playing the game ,students have better understanding about aspect that are concerned in Industrial  Engineering. Moreover, based on evaluation review, there are good acceptances of the activities

Abstract

Pada era globalisasi ini, perkembangan kesadaranmasyarakat terhadap konsep uang telah meningkat. Mayoritas darimasyarakat mulai tertarik untuk berinvestasi di dalam pasar modal(Saham, reksadana dan lain-lainnya). Dengan meningkatnyaindividu-individu yang ingin berinvestasi, terjadi peningkatanterhadap demand dari metode atau indikator yang dapatmemprediksi harga saham. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untukmenyediakan indikator baru yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhantersebut. Dalam penelitian ini akan digunakan metode baru yangbernama Analisa Timbangan Data (ATD) dan Deret IN denganmenggunakan indikator RSI (Relative Strength Index) besertametode SMA sebagai pembanding akurasi output penelitian.Dalam penelitian ini akan digunakan data harga closing pricesaham selama satu tahun dari perusahaan UNVR.JK. Untukmembandingkan hasil yang didapatkan akan digunakan metodeMAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error). Hasil yang didapatkandari penelitian ini merupakan perbandingan nilai error metodeATD dan Deret IN yang bernilai sebesar 1.81% serta nilai errorRSI yang bernilai sebesar 16%.

Abstract

Pangkalan Puskop Bintara LPG located in East Jakarta is one of the official bases of Pertamina which provides LPG sizes of 3 kg and 12 kg. The rotation of the availability and distribution of gases at the Puskop Bintara LPG Base is very fast. However, this is not supported by conditions in the workplace area that have not been well organized. Based on observations in the field, the problems related to the work area, namely the condition of the base is not clean, gas laying that is not in accordance with the layout of gas storage, and the discipline of employees related to cleanliness is still lacking. To overcome these problems, the best solution is to apply 5S, which is sorting (Seiri), arrangement (Seiton), cleaning (Seiso), maintaining good conditions (Seiketsu), and self-awareness of the habits needed to do the job properly (Shitsuke ) The community service method is carried out through the dissemination of the 5S concept and its application such as: sorting goods and disposing of seals (Seiri), placing LPG gas cylinders neatly and regularly both still filled with gas and empty with instructions on the location and name of gas cylinders LPG (Seiton), cleaning LPG seal waste scattered on the floor and cleaning LPG bases on a regular basis (Seiso), making 5S socialization posters for workers as a reminder in maintaining the work area and arranging LPG gas cylinders neatly (Shitsuke). The result of 5S implementation is an increase in understanding the importance of 5S in improving work efficiency and productivity as well as increasing comfort and neatness in the work area.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to develop entrepreneurship following the village's potential, namely catfish and hydroponic cultivation, often known as 'aquaponics'. One of the residents of Sampora Village, namely Pak Ali, has been engaged in catfish hatchery cultivation for many years and has become a pioneer in developing catfish cultivation to other Sampora villagers. This mentoring activity is an entrepreneurial assistance activity for catfish hatchery for Sampora villagers. The results of this activity are expected to be a productive sustainable entrepreneurship activity.

Abstract

Mom’s Farm adalah sebuah usaha penanaman sayuran organic yang merupakan sebuah program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan dan dinaungi oleh Fakultas Teknik Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya dalam bidang penanaman tanaman hidroponik dan urban farming yang bekerja sama dengan Desa Sampora khususnya Kampung Nagrek. Dalam menajalankan roda usaha, mom’s farm mengalami kendala dalam menyalurkan produk kepada konsumen. Pendistribusian hasil panen yang belum jelas dan maksimal akan menyebabkan para petani di Mom’s Farm dirugikan karena kurang efektif dan efisiennya sistem pendistribusian hasil panen sehingga diduga akan mengakibatkan terjadinya kurangnya pendapatan yang diterima petani. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan pembinaan pemasaran produk lebih lanjut dimana dalam hal ini adalah Pendampingan Pemasaran Mom’s Farm dengan Aplikasi Digital Marketing seperti Grab dan Tokopedia. Diharapkan dengan diberikannya pendampingan mengenai pemasaran produk secara online akan menarik pembeli yang lebih lagi bagi usaha Mom’s Farm. Sehingga selain mendapat konsumen secara offline seperti yang sudah ada, namun juga bisa menjangkau konsumen baru yang lebih luas.

Abstract

SClustering is a commonly system used by the distribution company. Some consumers who are in the same location but located in two different clusters as a result of a fixed and rigid area within cluster, resulting in longer delivery time and higher cost incurred to deliver the order. The purpose of this research is to determine the optimal vehicle route using three-phase method approachthat improve the clustering system. Complexity arising from the problem of this vehicle routing includes variant types of vehicles and variants of product types. The three-phase method includes a cluster-making phase with a maximum distance between consumers within 10 kilometers, a cluster adjustment phase, and a routing phase that determine shipping routes and calculate total distribution cost. Numerical examples shows that the cost of distributing goods can be minimized, from an average of IDR 1,064,408.33 to an average of IDR 775,586.46. Thus a three-phase method may improve the clustering system by reducing distribution time and cost.

Abstract

The government livestock carrier cruise program is a dedicated program to improve the supply chain management of livestock and the ultimate goal is selfsufficiency of beef in 2026. This carrier has one fleet with the capacity of 500 cows and sails through 8 ports regularly. The island of Nusa Tenggara are the local producers for the livestock carrier cruise which is an area of provincial surplus of beef. For the future the government plans to add more ships to the armada from the current one fleet to six fleets of livestock carrier cruises. The current livestock carrier cruise program has not been optimal in shipping cows to the consumer area. This is caused by the limitation of number of fleet and theexisting route that the livestock carrier has to sail through has created some obstacle to maximizing the number of cows to be distributed. This research aims to optimise this carrier cruising route with criteria including having high supplied beef percentage rate and having the most minimum cost. This optimisation problem solved by genetics algorithm methid and develop twodifferent scenarios that suggest alternatives for an optimal route. To make things easier, a computerized program with genetics algorithm method for a livestock carrier cruise optimization network are designed. The outcome of this research is a proposed optimised route on scenario 1 with total cost of Rp 443,306,533.26, and total load of 1,374 cows. As for the future to add five ships, the conditions are met by using the results of the second scenario with total cost of Rp 1,321,505,850.62, total load of 3416 cows and the route network for six ships

Abstract

The sales activity is a very important activity for the development and sustainability of a company. The sales are closely related to the requirement of raw material. By knowing the number of sales, a company can do estimate the amount of raw material required for production. However, so far still be found as a company that has its policies to determine a requirement of raw material as impact not use a raw material control method. The research purpose to determine the amount of sugar raw material requirement based on results number of sales seasoning XYZ with Monte Carlo simulation. Based on the analysis of data processing results. It was found that the number of sales from the simulation results in 2019 was quite high compared to the sales results during 2018 where the difference in sales simulation in 2019 and real data in 2018 was 62,334 kg. In terms of sugar supply, the total requirement for sugar in 2019 is also quite high, namely 186,756 kg, or the difference in requirement between simulation results and real data is 21,818 kg. This shows that the amount of requirement is directly proportional to sales.

Abstract

The development of a company is always related to its supporting facilities’ location, for instance, warehouse location. Usually, company choose the most strategic one to minimize its transportation cost, distribution route and time. As the result, it is clear that warehouse location determination is the key to company’s success in delivering consumer needs. Location determination is not only used in manufacturing problem, but it is also can be used in national defense problem, which is the case study of this research: Western Sea Sector Indonesian Navy. In national defense, national and regional development are important factors for maximizing Indonesian Navy’s strength. As an example, logistics capability improvement. Logistics is one of the most important parts to support warships in doing their maritime operations. So, strategy of determinating the best warehouse location is very crucial to make sure the distribution of goods went smoothly. This research uses Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) as a method to solve location determination problem. Using a study case from main literature by Gunawan et al (2018), this research does another two methods for problem solving, they are Fuzzy Simple Additive Weighting (F-SAW) and Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (F-AHP). The main purpose of this research is to compare Fuzzy MCDM method, which is used by Gunawan et al (2018), with F-SAW and F-AHP which is calculated in this research. Result shows that Naval Base III is the best location from Fuzzy MCDM and F-AHP, but the best location from F-SAW method is Naval Base I.

Abstract

The philosophy of quality management system ISO 9001:2008 is continuous improvement. To achieve thequalilty objective, an organization must develop a systematic and consistent continuous improvementprogram. The Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University (FT UAJ) has adopted the ISO9001:2008 quality management system since 2010, however, they still have discrepancy in theimplementation. IWA 2 guide can be a reference for developing a continuous improvement of this system. Theresults of this study showed that the FT UAJ still need to do some aspects of continuous improvement that isa weakness in providing motivation to students, the lack of monitoring of process improvement competency,integrated data management including data derived from outside the institution, customer satisfactionmeasurement, actions to meet the needs of community members ( faculty, staff education, student), and aclear organizational goal. The results confirmed the findings of the internal audit report, there isconcordance between the results of the survey with the findings of the internal audit report. This study is apart of multi –year research, and this paper is the result of the first year of research that aims to providerecommendations on Areas for Improvement / AFI in FT UAJ .
