Abstract

The trend of adolescent religious behavior in the era of technological progress and interesting information to be discussed. Todays high school teenagers are spoiled by technology-based facilities. This paper aims to describe the trend of religious behavior of high school students in Central Java. With quantitative methods, samples are taken from public high school students in Purworejo, Magelang, and Banyumas. This study is limited to religious behavior that is synonymous with morals which include students morals to Allah and His Messenger, teachers and parents, themselves, friends, and morals towards the environment. The results show that the morals of high school students to teachers and parents occupy the highest position, and while morals to God and the Apostle occupy the lowest position.

Abstract

A process of value transmission can not be separated from the role of communication that involves communicators as messengers and communicants as the recipient of the message. Similarly, in the process of transmitting religious values by the organization of Spirituality of Islam (Rohis), communication becomes one of the determinants of the success of Rohis’s mission in the fostering of Islam in school. Using a qualitative approach, this research attempts to describe the communi- cation model built by Rohis SMAN 1 Purworejo in transmitting reli- gious values to Muslim students at school. Through interviewing tech- niques, observation, and documentation obtained some research find- ings. First, the communication model built by Rohis SMAN 1 Purworejo is interactional communication, which provides an opportunity for in- teraction between the messenger and the recipient of the message. Sec- ond, Rohis SMAN 1 Purworejo applies formal transmission model through structured activities, whereas non-formal transmission is re- flected from Rohis social interaction with other students in school envi- ronment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian karakter terintegrasi dalam PAI yang valid dan reliabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg and Gall (1983:775) diambil 8 (delapan) tahapan, yaitu (1) studi pendahuluan; (2) perancangan; (3) pengembangan; (4) uji coba lapangan terbatas; (5) revisi hasil uji coba lapangan terbatas; (6) uji coba lapangan lebih luas; (7) revisi uji coba lapangan lebih luas; dan (8) uji kelayakan. Variabel penelitian adalah 4 (empat) karakter amatan, yaitu disiplin, ingin tahu, kerja keras, dan jujur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, instrumen observasi, dan instrumen penilaian diri. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif untuk tahap studi pendahuluan, sedangkan analisis untuk tahap pengembangan sampai pada uji coba menggunakan analisi kuantitafif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa instrumen observasi valid ditunjukan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi dari seluruh butir instrumen lebih besar dari 0,5 dan reliabel ditunjukan dengan nilai koefisien reliabilitas antar observer sebesar 0,809. Implementasi instrumen penilaian karakter menunjukan bahwa perkembangan karakter peserta didik selama mengikuti pembelajaran PAI 13,0% berada pada tingkat MK (membudaya), 40,7% berada pada tingkat MB (mulai berkembang), 27,8% MT (mulai terlihat), dan 18,5% berada pada tingkat BT (belum terlihat).Pelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian karakter terintegrasi dalam PAI yang valid dan reliabel. This study uses research and development Borg and Gall (1983:775) taken 8 (eight) stages, namely (1) a preliminary study, (2) design, (3) development, (4) limited field trials; (5) revision of the results of a limited field trial, (6) the wider field trials; (7) revision wider field trials, and (8) the feasibility test. The variables of this study is 4 (four) character, namely discipline, curiosity, hard work, and honest. Data collected through interviews, observation, document study, observation instruments, and self-assessment instrument. Analysis used is qualitative in preliminary study phase, whereas for the analysis phase of development to the test using quantitative analysis. The results showed that observation instruments valid indicated by the correlation coefficient of whole grains instruments is greater than 0.5 and reliable indicated by the value of inter-observer reliability coefficient amounted to 0.809. The implementation of an assessment instrument that shows the character of the character development of students during the learning PAI 13.0% at the level of entrenched, 40.7 % at the start growing level, 27.8% starting to look, and 18.5% at the level of not shown.

Abstract

Javanese manuscripts as the legacy of ancestors and poets contain important values related to character education and moral values. Manuscript of Serat Wulang Darmawiya (SWD), for example, promotes character education through laku batin. The values of character education are fundamental to internalize and implement within the life of Javanese. Javanese poets in the past inherited the noble values through a lot of literary works. This article discusses the values of character education in SWD. Using text-based qualitative research methodology, the values of character education in SWD were analyzed with content analysis. Serat teaches values of character education regarding the importance of breastfeeding as a process of building an intimate relationship between children and parents (mother). At the same time, it also explains the importance of communication between children and parents during education process, the principles of child education, and the role model and advice from the parents to the children. In addition, the philosophy of SWD is closely integrated with Islamic teachings.Naskah-naskah Jawa peninggalan para leluhur dan para pujangga, sarat dengan nilai pendidikan karakter dan budi pekerti luhur. Naskah Serat Wulang Darmawiyata (SWD) memiliki keunikan pada penanaman nilai pendidikan karakter khas Jawa, yakni membentuk anak mandiri dan cerdas berdasarkan laku prihatin. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter bagi masyarakat Indonesia merupakan hal yang amat penting untuk dimiliki dan diterapkan dalam kehidupan berkeluarga dan bermasyarakat, demikian pula dengan masyarakat Jawa. Para pujangga Jawa masa lalu telah banyak mewariskan nilai-nilai luhur melalui berbagai karya dalam sastra Jawa. Artikel ini secara khusus membahas tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam SWD. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif berbasis teks sastra Jawa, naskah yang memiliki makna nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dianalisis dengan metode analisis isi. Dalam serat tersebut, terdapat nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter tentang pentingnya menyusui sebagai proses kedekatan anak dengan orang tua (ibu). Selanjutnya dalam serat tersebut, dijelaskan pula tentang pentingnya pendidikan komunikasi anak dan orang tua, prinsip-prinsip mendidik anak, dan keteladan serta nasehat orang tua terhadap anak. Selain itu, falsafah dalam SWD memiliki hubungan atau terintegrasi dengan ajaran Islam.

This study aims to describe the strategy of character education through madrasah management at MTs Muhammadiyah 01 Purbalingga. The results showed that the character education in madrasah management has been integrated in the process of organizing, actuating, and controlling. Implementation of management in developing the character based on the six principles of character management, namely (1) clarity of purpose and accountability; (2) the division of tasks based on the principle of “the right man on the right place”; (3) regularly; (4) discipline; (5) fair; and (6) the spirit of togetherness. Keywords: character education, madrasah, madrasah management  AbstrakPendidikan karakter pada madrasah memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam rangka pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the implementation of the inclusive education at Islamic Elementary School (MI) Keji Unggaran in Central Java. This research used the qulitative approach. The results of research showed that the implementation of the inclusive education at MI Keji run well although it was in its restrictiveness. The learning process was conducted with pull out system where the curriculum would be used were modified from the national curriculum, the madrasah curriculum, and the individual education program (PPI) curriculum. The teachers’ existence asthe students’ advisor which were not relevant with their background education did not decrease their spirit to serve the the equal education for their disabled students. Keywords: Inclusive education, madrasah, disabled students, Semarang Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program inklusif di MI Keji Ungaran Jawa Tengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa penyelenggaraan program inklsuif di MI Keji berjalan dengan baik di tengah keterbatasan yang dimiliki. Proses pembelajaran dilakukan dengan sistem pull out, di mana kurikulum yang digunakan merupakan modifikasi dari kurikulum nasional, kurikulum madrasah, dan Kurikulum Program Pendidikan Individual (PPI). Keberadaan guru pembimbing dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang kurang relevan tidak menyurutkan semangat mereka untuk memberikan pendidikan yang setara bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus. Abstract

The existence of skills programs in non-vocational madrasah aliyah has actually been practiced for a long time in several madrasas. Along with the need for skills education in madrasah aliyah, the Ministry of Religion continues to open opportunities for madrasa aliyah to implement skills programs. Using qualitative methods, this study aims to evaluate the skills program at MAN 1 Surakarta and MAN 1 Karanganyar, Central Java. Evaluation is carried out on aspects of Context, Input, Process, Product, and Outcome (CIPPO). The results showed that the implementation of the skills program at MAN 1 Surakarta and MAN 1 Karanganyar was quite good. Of the five aspects evaluated, the product aspect received the lowest score compared to the other four aspects. This is because there is no certification of expertise from training institutions for graduates of skills programs, skills products do not yet have national standards, and there are still few alumni of skills programs who work or open businesses in accordance with the skills obtained in madrasas. Therefore, madrasah aliyah skills programs need to increase collaboration with training institutions and the industrial world to the issuance of certificates of expertise for graduates of skills programs and recruitment of workers from skills program alumni.
