Abstract

The behavior of children who do not eat well result in school-age children at risk for nutritional problems either undernutrition or over nutrition. The habit of unhealthy food consumption is more influenced by peers. Empowerment through peer group education in providing peer education in schools is more practical for school-age children, because the peer group provides a stronger influence on the adoption of healthy behaviors children. The purpose of this study is the identification of the effectiveness of peer group education about behavior nutrition balanced for school-age childrens. This research used a design of experiments, conducted in December 2013 - November 2014. The population of the research is the entire school-age children in grades 4-6 with MI Nurul Huda Miji Mojokerto totaling 50 people, using total sampling. In the control group was given a balanced nutrition booklet with self-learning, while the case is given peer group education activities for 8 weeks. The results showed is difference in the nutritional behavior of children, especially in the case group before and after the given peer group education that an increase in well nutritional behavior well as much as 50%. Peer group education proved to be effective in improving childrens well nutrition behavior as much as 64%.. Peer group education can be used as a nursing intervention strategies are effective in changing childrens well behavior nutrition.Keywords: Peer Group Education, Balanced Nutrition, School Age Children

Abstract

Aging is prosess looses network capability of repairmen his self or changing his self to defend the structure and function normally. At this step, the individual gets more changing physically, mentally and physic social. Stress of environment and lost his capability takes adaptation of environment changing because of elderly&rsquo;s depression. The problem of this research is whether the effect of Reminiscence group strategy decrease of the level of elderly&rsquo;s depression in Mojopahit Folk&rsquo;s Home Mojokerto.The design of this research is pra experimwnt one group pretest &ndash; pretest. Remeniscence group strategy is independent and dependent variable is depression of elderly. Sample of this reseacrh is twenty persons that devided by two rollers and giving good servant together. The lvel of depression is Reminiscence group strategy of the level of elderly&rdquo;s depression is examined by Wilcoxon signed by Rank Test using SPSS 16. 0 for windos.The work of this research shows the effect of Reminiscence group strategy of decrease level depresion in Mojokerto folk&rsquo;s home mojokerto that is shown by p = 0,000 (p<&alpha;0,05). It can be caused by raising satisfaction of elderly, until he can dicharges his depression.The reminiscense Group Strategy should be in Mojopahit Folk&rsquo;s Home Mojokerto to discharge depression feeling of elderly. And it is needed by seeking more good good topic enjoyable and the writer hopes that Reminiscence Group Strategy is the most useful in discharging of the level of elderly&rsquo;s depression.Keyword : elderly, depression, Reminiscence Group Startegy.

Abstract

Background: One of the government's efforts to reduce MMR, IMR and reduce complications during pregnancy include the activities of the Mother Love Movement, Strategy Making Pregnancy Safer and the Duplication of Mother and Child Health Books. The KIA handbook as an educational tool and an effort to increase information on pregnant women. Objective: This study aims to explore related to the use of the KIA handbook as a source of information, Birth Plan and Postpartum Contraception Planning. Methods: This study uses a concurrent triangulation strategy by collecting quantitative and qualitative data together. The sample in this study was 30 pregnant women with total sampling technique. Data analysis with a comparison of quantitative data and qualitative data. Results: The results of the study showed that out of the 15 respondents who had good use of the KIA handbook, the majority had good labor preparation. While of the 9 respondents who used the KIA handbook with sufficient categories, the majority also had good childbirth preparations. Of the 15 respondents who had good use of the KIA handbook, the majority had made contraceptive preparations. While of the 6 respondents who had less use of the KIA handbook, none planned for postpartum contraception. Conclusion: The conclusion is that the better the use of the KIA handbook, the better the preparation of labor and post-partum contraceptive planning.

Abstract

The first 1000 days of life (HPK) are the most important part of human life. At this time parents have an important role to provide quality care and care in accordance with the stage of child development, because at this time the child's growth and development process begins. nutrition for this group must be seen as part of an investment to reduce poverty through improved education and health. The existence of new information about something will provide a new cognitive basis for the formation of a person's attitude. Audiovisual makes a huge contribution in changing people's behavior, especially in the aspects of information and persuasion. This community service activity is carried out by giving cadre health education given a pre-test questionnaire to measure the cadre's knowledge then health education is conducted after it is given a post test. Knowledge score before the treatment was obtained an average of 81.0909 and after treatment increased to 85.2727 where the score contained a difference of 4.1818 or an increase of 45.4%, a score of ρ-value = 0.016 (ρ-value <0, 05) which means there is a significant difference in scores between before and after health education using audio-visual media (video) for cadres of pregnant women or there is a significant increase in knowledge about the preparation of the First 1000 Days of Life after health education using audio-visual media ( rich media)

Abstract

Natural disasters that have both physical and psychological impacts are floods caused by human behavior. Disaster events caused by humans are things that need to be considered for immediate attention because it will cause some infectious diseases. Infectious diseases resulting from floods can be avoided by prevention activities that involve health cadres to take an active role in dealing with the problem of infectious diseases when floods occur. The study aimed to explore cadres’ ability in communicable disease preparedness when flood disasters through support groups. A quasi-experimental study, one group pre-test, and post-test without a control group was applied in this study. Forty-three samples were involved in this study from Gebangmalang Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency. Inclusion criteria; 1) cadres who are willing to become respondents; 2) cadres living in the study area; 3) cadres present at the intervention. 1-month research time. The results of the research show that the mean of knowledge, attitudes, and skills before and after the intervention increased from 34.9% to 100% good, 46.5% to 100% positive, and 55.8% to 100% good. Cadres increased the infectious diseases controlling when the flood disaster occurred with a p-value of 0.001. Increasing the ability of cadres was due to the interrelatedness between the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of a cadre. Based on the findings, community of nurses should provide to be able to prepare activities before a disaster occurs to be able to minimize the impact that occurs as a result of a disaster
