Abstract

Entrepreneurship is believed as one of the pivotal attributes in a more competitive world. Therefore, early education to foster entrepreneurial values is fundamental in primary education. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the effect of life skills education in fostering entrepreneurship values and interest of elementary school students. Life skills education in this study cover in school entrepreneurial activities which include batik learning, cooking, and stringing. The entrepreneurship values are measured by eight indicators of self-directing, creativity, risk taking, leadership, honesty, responsibility, team work and communication. In the current study, students? interest in entrepreneurship are indicated by four indicators of contented, affection, involvement and attention. The methods used in this research is quantitative survey research. The results of the analysis reveal that life skills education contributed to entrepreneurship values at the level of ?= 0.316, t (3.377), p < 0.001 and entrepreneurship interest ?= 0.202 t (2.308), p < 0.05. It can be concluded that there was contribution of life skills educational in fostering entrepreneurship values of the primary school students. The R square produced in the Model Summary is 0.115 which means that life skills education contributes 11.5% in fostering entrepreneurship values while life skills education contributes 6% of students? interest in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Student company is a program that facilitates students to form a company and manage the company with the purpose to provide experience to students to run the company's operations and conduct some business activities covering business planning, production, packaging to local and regional promotion activities. The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of student learning methods of student motivation in entrepreneurship, and to determine the effectiveness of student company learning methods of students' mental attitude in entrepreneurship. Based on data to be collected this research will use the type of quantitative data to know and analyze the effectiveness of student company that will affect entrepreneurship motivation and entrepreneurship mental attitude. The model used is simple regression. The results of this study indicate that the results of simple regression tests show the student company's variables, motivation and mental attitude has a significance value of 0.000, it can be concluded that student student methods are effective in influencing motivation and mental attitude of students in entrepreneurship. Adjusted R square value can be concluded the effectiveness of student company method in influencing entrepreneurship motivation is only 28.3% while the student company in influencing entrepreneurship mental attitude is only 39.3%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know, to describe, and to analyze the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in the vocational high school (SMK) majoring in hotel accommodation program skill. The research method used in this research is the qualitative method. This method is intended to know deeply in the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in SMK. This research started with the observation of edupreneurship activity through teaching factory at SMK N 6 Yogyakarta. The data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews with informants who are directly involved in edupreneurship activities. The result of this research is the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in terms of learning, there is commitment and basic principle which run by the school but not yet optimal. There are still significant obstacles, especially related to the work culture that is applied not in accordance with the procedures of business and industry (DUDI), educators who have not understood the culture of DUDI, facilities, and infrastructure that do not meet the DUDI standards, the cooperation between SMK and DUDI is still weak, and the regulation of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) which requires the use of state-owned goods as a form of state income.

Abstract

Competence of Vocational High School (VHS) students can be qualified, if students have competence in accordance with industry needs. The synchronization of the curriculum with the industry is absolutely necessary, so the school is not left behind by the development of the business world and the industrial world. The development of learning model should always be updated or done curriculum innovation, so that schools can synergize with DUDI. This study aims to (1) to know the implementation of the Device Network Application Initiative learning model, (2) to know the advantages and disadvantages of applying the Device Network Application Initiative learning model, (3) to know the effectiveness of the learning model of the Device Network Application Initiative for the Department of Technology and Information. The learning model of the Device Network Application Initiative (DNA Initiative) (the DNA curriculum) is the application of industrial curriculum to VHS education. Model innovation. The business world and the industrial world (dunia usaha dunia industry/DUDI) are more confident with students who get their learning materials of industry standard. This study uses a qualitative method. The research was conducted by observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques. Secondary data in the form of documentation is used to support the research. Focus Group Discussion by presenting DUDI, curriculum experts, industrial class managers, user / user graduates, teachers and testimonials, concluded that the implementation of the Device Network Application Initiative learning model for vocational students is very effective andappropriate. The contribution to schools is the implementation of process concept that schools are industrial environments or industrial replicas.

Abstract

Education in Vocational High Schools (VHS) aims to equip learners with the attitude, knowledge, and skills to be ready for work, absorbed in the world of work, or entrepreneurship. To fulfill the objective, the competence that must be possessed by the students must be in accordance with the needs in the world of work and in the business world. To fulfill the competence, the learning in VHS must be competency-based. In line with the competency and competency-based learning needs, it also needs an integrated learning between adaptive subjects and productive subjects. Integrated learning is modeled by; (1) conducting curriculum study on basic competence of adaptive subjects, (2) inserting productive basic competency subjects on adaptive subjects. After the integrated learning model is prepared then the learning model applied to the class is a competency-based learning model.

Abstract

The study is to determine the quality of workshop practice and media learning of light vehicle engineering in Vocational High Schools in terms of (1) the facilities and infrastructure of laboratory and (2) the use of instructional media practices of light vehicle engineering. The collection of data used the method of observation, documentation, interview. This type of qualitative research is a case study approach, involving five internship supervisor teachers and workshop managers. The results of the study showed that the practice of Automotive Engine Repair with spacious 84 m2, Automotive Chassis Repair with a spacious 72 m2, Automotive Electrical Repair with spacious 24 m2 had not yet met the standard minimum as suggested at the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation number 34 of 2018. The use of practical learning media was less effective because: (1) the comparison of study groups with the area of the workshop was not balanced, (2) the existence of some practicum subjects scheduled in the same day resulted in the students were practicing simultaneously at one time, and (3) the lack of practicum facilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of employability skills and level of achievement on SMK Accounting Expertise Program of Business Management Expertise. This research uses quantitative and qualitative methods.Collection data by observation, interview, and documentation. Place of research in SMK N 6 Surakarta and SMK N 1 Sukoharjo. Analysis data with descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study show that the implementation of employability skills in SMK Accounting Expertise Program of Business Management Expertise at SMK N 6 Surakarta is very good because of the seven core competency competencies have been largely held at the highest level, while in SMK N 1 Sukoharjo into the good category, Because most controlled at the middle level. While the achievement level of employability skills at SMK Accounting Expertise Program of Management Business Expertise at SMK N 6 Surakarta level one 0%, level two equal to 34,30%, and level three equal to 65,70%. While in SMK N 1 Sukoharjo which controls one level of 17,10%, level two equal to 54,30%, and level three equal to 28,60%.

Abstract

Education has very strategic role to reach up the progressing of one nation,also as basic capital and human investment. The research aims is to knowhow business practice that is conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 2Surakarta. And, whether business practice is able to grow up the spirit ofentrepreneurship. The research target is students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2Surakarta: 326 students, principal, teachers, and staffs. The research kinds is qualitative.Collecting data through observation, in depth interview, and documentation. Dataanalysis through qualitative descriptive by using triangulation model. The research resultshow that business practice conducting at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta can beconducted successfully and able to grow up the spirit of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of apprenticeship in the competence of automotive light vehicle engineering expertise at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo, determine the suitability of the productive abilities of students with the demands of the industrial world, and to determine the driving factors and obstacles in the implementation of the internship. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, data collection with in-depth interviews, observation and documentation, data analysis with interactive models. The informants consisted of school principals, viceprincipals, patrols, productive teachers, DUDI, and students. The results of the study are (1) the implementation he apprenticeship in the competency of automotive light vehicle engineering expertise at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo covering the stages of planning, organizing, actuating and evaluating, (2) The suitability of the productive abilities of students with the demands of the business and industry world in carrying out apprenticeship is quite relevant to the competencies owned by students, (3) The driving factor that makes the implementation of internship smooth is an adequate infrastructure of school practice, good teacher performance, trusted by official workshops such as Daihatsu, Toyota, Honda, has an extensive network of internship places. The inhibiting factor is that there are still some students who have poor practice places, there are some students who are less able to adjust to the work environment.

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe and interpret the implementation of the competence certification for professional welders at SMKN 2 Wonosari and SMKN 2 Pengasih which included: (1) the administrators’ readiness, (2) the implementation, (3) the supporting and obstacles factors, and (4) the impact of the program of competence certification for professional welders for learner outputs at SMKN 2 Wonosari and SMKN 2 Pengasih. This research used phenomenological qualitative approach. The subjects were the principal, the teachers, the committee of certification program, and the assessors. To collect the data, the researcher conducted interviews, observation, and analyzing the documents on the subject of the research. The results of the study show that the implementation of the competence certification for professional welders in terms of : (1) The administrators’ readiness had been appropriate with the stages of the certification process; (2) The implementation of the program went well according to the schedule at the stage of plan, implementation, and evaluation; (3) Supporting factors in the implementation of the program has been well supported with the form of moral and material as well as inhibiting factors is the lack of funds to repair facilities and infrastructure; (4 ) Impact of welding competence certification program for the learner outputs embedded in increasing learner outputs' achievements, confidence, and easiness to get their jobs at the company and earn higher salary.
