Abstract

Heavy metals such as nickel and cadmium from the waste of human activities (industry, domestic,) can lead the pollution and sediments deposited on the seabed. Water pH changing, can lead to the release (leaching) metals in the sediment into the water body and then it will be bioaccumulated on biota arround the environment. To see the effect of pH changing on the release (leaching) of these metals, extracting the sediment at pH variations has done (TCLP method). From the results of detection metals cadmium (Cd) and nickel (Ni) release studies, to see the hazards of cadmium and nickel metal, carried out a simulation of bioaccumulation test on biota using bioindikator Cyprinus carpio (OECD Guideline 305). Based on the analysis of data obtained in the nickel content in the sediment extract pH 3, 5 and 7 reached 2.55 to 27.94 µg/g, while for cadmium reaches 4.31 to 4.68 µg/g. Observation of metallic nickel and cadmium bioaccumulation in fish hass done for 28 days by looking at levels of cadmium and nickel on the gills of fish and meat. In the flesh of fish, the highest cadmium concentration of 3.179 µg/g while in the gills is 5.392 µg/g. The highest nickel concentrations in fish flesh is equal to 4.557 µg/g while for gill is equal to 10.417 µg/g. The study results indicate the presence of cadmium and nickel metal accumulation on biota. Keywords: TCLP method, biota, Cyprinus carpio

Abstract

The use of pesticides for pest repellent can trigger the risk of cancer and degenerative diseases for certain groups. The interaction of genetic and environmental (GxE) to be crucial for the case of pesticide intoxication. Knowing the role of genetic factors could be a way of preventing the incidence of intoxication from harmful chemicals pesticides through meta-analysis studies explore the differences between the groups of workers who are at risk with resesive alleles and non-alleles resesive. Statistically significant difference was found in the value of the odds ratio (OR) of 1.6 (CI 0.99-1.02)Keywords: Pesticide; biotransformation; genetic; environment

Abstract

Stunting is caused by three factors, involving individuals’ food intake, birth weight, and health condition; the quality and quantity of food nutrition, human resources, number and family structure, parenting, health care, and services; and environmental factors that include social infrastructure, educational services and health services. This aimed to find the relationship between mothers’ education level and exclusive breastfeeding toward the toddlers’ stunting in South Sulawesi Province 2015 based on the report of secondary data analysis on Nutrition Status (PSG) 2015.This research used 2015 PSG data with observational design. The samples in this research were toddlers in 3 cities or regency in South Sulawesi Province with the highest stunting event rate, they were Jeneponto (300 toddlers), Pangkep (300 toddlers) and Tana Toraja (298 toddlers). Secondary data were taken from PSG report of 2015. The nutrition status was measured by anthropometry. Mothers’ education level and exclusive breastfeeding data were obtained by asking respondents using PSG 2015 questionnaires. To find out the relationship of two variables, it was conducted yate's correlation test using SPSS program. The data were presented in the form of frequency distribution tables and narration. The results showed that the prevalence of stunting was 44%. The proportion of lower educated mothers was 56.5%, while exclusive breastfeeding was quite high at 94.8%. Mothers with less education (27.7%) had stunting children, while 27.3% well-educated mothers have normal children and there was a significant relationship between mother education level and stunting on toddlers (p = 0,001). The stunting was found on toddlers who are not exclusively breastfed (0.9%) and exclusively breastfed (43.1%), and there was a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting incidence in toddlers (p = 0.000).

Abstract

The Aim of this research is to increase the student's study results on theme 8 sub theme 1 in the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Ragatunjung 04, Paguyangan. Brebes in the academic year 2018/2019. This research uses Project Based Learning model and it is an Action Classroom Research. The subject of the study is the students of SD Negeri Ragatunjung 4 for 26 students in the academic year 2018/2019.  The Result of the reasearch is find out the precentages of the completeness that students achieves in the first cycle is 11 students (42,30%) success and 15 (57,70%) still get failed, which the average score 68,5. In the second cycle students succes increase in 24 students (92,30%) and 2 students (7,7%) still failed because they didn't get average score 84 yet. According to the explanation above can be concluded that using Project Based Learning Model is increasing the students study results on theme 8 sub theme 1 on the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Ragatunjung 4, Paguyangan. Brebes in the academic year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is quite high, at 359 per 100,000 live births (IDHS 2012). AKI is an indicator of the health of mothers, especially the risk of death for pregnant women and childbirth and post-partum. Most maternal deaths occur Complications in labor and post-partum period is a direct cause of maternal deaths. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of age at first childbirth, pregnancy tests and birth attendants to complications of childbirth in South Sumatra province. This study is an analysis of studies using secondary data obtained from Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey 2012. The study design used is cross sectional with a sample of 299 mother's age at first birth. Analysis was performed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate logistic regression. The results of this study variables together influential variable although birth attendants did not significantly affect the incidence of complications of childbirth. From the results of analysis show that the dominant factor that influence the incidence of low birth complications age at first childbirth and pregnancy testing.Â
