Abstract

Air merupakan kebutuhan dasar bagi seluruh kehidupan di muka bumi ini. Salah satu sumber air bagi kebutuhan manusia berasal dari air permukaan. Di Wilayah Kota Kupang, pemanfaatan air bersih untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari berasal dari air tanah dan sedikit yang memanfaatkan air permukaan karena berbagai faktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa besar debit air kali Liliba Kota Kupang pada wilayah DAS Hulu, DAS Tengah dan DAS Hilir berdasarkan hasil pengukuran langsung di lapangan menggunakan alat flow meter dan alat pengapung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, debit rata–rata (Q) menggunakan alat Flow meter (DAS Hulu 0,643 L/det, DAS Tengah 1,623 L/det dan DAS Hilir 1,578 L/det). Dengan menggunakan metode Apung (DAS Hulu 0,799 L/det, DAS Tengah 1,705 L/det dan DAS Hilir 1,471 L/det). Rata-rata persentase kesesuaian antara metode pengukuran debit antara alat flow meter dan alat apung pada DAS Hulu adalah 80%, DAS Tengah 95% dan DAS Hilir 107%. Karakter debit aliran pada masing-masing bagian DAS dan kecepatan angin memungkinkan adanya perbedaan hasil pengukuran tersebut, yang secara rata-rata menunjukkan tingkat kesamaan 97%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis tanah di area Gelanggang Olahraga Flobamora (GOR Flobamora) berdasarkan klasifikasi tanah sistem USCS dan AASTHO. Selanjutnya penelitian ini juga bermaksud untuk mengkaji sifat fisis tanah berdasarkan analisis saringan, kadar air, berat jenis, liquid limit dan plastis limit, serta mencari metode stabilitas tanah yang tepat pada jalan tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan dan pengujian sampel tanah di labolatorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis tanah yang ada merupakan tanah lempung, dan stabilitas yang dapat dilakukan pada jalan tersebut adalah stabilitas mekanis serta stabilitas dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan tambahan sesuai dengan jenis tanah lempung.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui kondisi jembatan Noelmina di Pulau Timor menggunakan metode BMS (Bridge Management System). Selanjutnya juga untuk mengetahui cara penanganan dan pemeliharaan jembatan tersebut berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan kondisi jembatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus (Case study). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penilaian kondisi jembatan sebagai berikut: komponen drainase dengan nilai kondisi 2,36, Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) 2,16, Trotoar 2,16, Dinding sayap 2,09, Kepala jembatan 2,08, pilar 2,05, Pagar pengaman 2,05, Gelagar memanjang 2,04, Lantai jembatan 2,03, Lampu penerangan 2,03, Pelat buhul 2,03, Batang diagonal 2,02, Gelagar melintang 2,03, dan Dudukan jembatan 2,02. Dan total rata-rata nilai kondisi adalah 2,08 untuk penanganan secara keseluruhan jembatan Noelmina adalah pemeliharaan rutin.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan air bersih bagi masyarakat Desa Wewit Kecamatan Adonara Tengah Kabupaten Lembata, sejauh ini belum tersedia dengan baik. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kerusakan pada pipa distribusi air bersih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh senyawa kimiawi yakni pH dan zat besi dalam air, serta tekanan air yang berpotensi terhadap kerusakan pipa tersebut. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, dan penelitian di laboratorium air bersih untuk mengetahu tingkat keasaman dan kadar besi air pada pipa. Untuk mengetahui tentang tekanan air dilakukan perhitungan secara hidrolika. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kadar pH, zat besi maupun tekanan air tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap kerusakan pipa distribusi, karena hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai kadar pH sebesar 6,53 dan zat besi dengan nilai 0,95 mg/l yang mana masih berada pada tingkat normal serta besar tekanan air di bawah 1 atm. Disarankan untuk melakukan penelitian lanjutan mengenai faktor umur pipa, dan faktor penyebab oleh karena ulah manusia dan hewan yang menyebabkan kerusakan tersebut.

Abstract

The research was conducted in the Meto Batulesa watershed, with a watershed area of 8,968 ha, located between two regencies, Kupang and Kupang city. The purpose of this research is to calculate the actual erosion rate and tolerable erosion, so that conservation alternatives can be found. Based on the map of land units, there are 19 land units that are then used for soil sampling, slope, observation of soil management and soil conservation. The sampling method used purposive sampling, the data taken to calculate erosion estimates using the Universal Soil Equation (USLE) method, while the erosion tolerance used the concept of equivalent depth and resource life based on (Hammer 1981) and (Arsyad 2010). The results of the study show that the highest actual erosion value of 225.68 tons/hectare/year and the lowest is 2.78 tons/hectare/year. The value of erosion tolerance among 19 land units, in which are 10 land units is above the erosion tolerance so that they require alternative management, while 9 of them are without conservation. Alternative management in the form of modifications to the values of C and P include 1. Terrace Gulud: Corn + Beans + Mulch of Plant Remnants, 2. Corn + Soybean with rotational cropping pattern + mulch of crop residues, 3. Bench terrace + corn cassava/soybean, 4. Secondary forest and 5. Primary forest.

Abstract

Aims: This study discusses water resources management based on water discharge potential of the Oebobo-Liliba watershed in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Methodology and Results: River water discharge was analyzed based on hydrological data of a span of 10-years. Average rainfall was calculated using the arithmetic mean method, and potential evapotranspiration (ETo) was calculated through Penman Modification with CROPWAT 8.0. The discharge analysis was conducted through a Mock method. Change in land cover was rendered using related land maps from year 2008 and 2018. Management of agricultural land was discussed through a descriptive analysis. The results showed an average monthly discharge of 0.667 m3/sec. The need for clean water is rendered to be 170 liters/person/day, and the discharge requirement of 90% = 281 liters/sec is concluded to be able to meet the community's clean water needs which amounts to 142,569 people. The total area of paddy fields is 5.38 Ha with water requirements of 1.5 liter/sec/ha, where 80% or 348 Liter/sec can be used to irrigate 232 hectares of paddy. Further results show that land cover in dryland forests decreased from 15% to 10%, settlements increased from 20% to 49%, and shrubs diminished from 20% to 0%. Conclusion, significance and impact study: The minimum debit trend shows a declining trend, while the maximum discharge trend shows an inclining trend. This research concludes that water discharge is adequate to meet community needs yet requires proper water resources management strategy from upstream to downstream of the watershed.
