Abstract

This study aims to increase children's reading interest through abaca flashcard games for students at the Raudhatul Athfal (RA) level. The subjects in this study were students of group B with a total of 20 students, consisting of 6 female students and 14 male students. The research was carried out in March-April 2020 at RA Aisyiah Pekon Letakan in group B students. The object of this study is a beginner's reading interest which includes pleasure, interest, initiative, and attention to the abaca flashcard game. The research instrument used observation sheets and documentation. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive with percentage technique. The results showed that the beginner reading interest in group B children at RA Aisyiah Letakan could be increased through playing abaca flash cards.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of strengthening the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students in social studies subjects. The method used in this research is quantitative pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-posttest design. This study is a population study with a sampling technique using all members of the population as the research sample. The sample of this study was 20 grade IVA students with the research location of SD Negeri 46 Krui, Pesisir Barat. The results showed that the provision of reinforcement had an effect on student learning outcomes in the social studies subject for class IVA even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The results of this study used a different method from the research conducted by Rohani (2019), the method used was a descriptive method with the form of research being a relationship study. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of strengthening by the teacher on student learning outcomes in class VII PKN learning at SMP Negeri 4 Rasau Jaya, Kubu Raya Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran kepala sekolah: (1) sebagai pemimpin dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan; (2) faktor pendukung dan penghambat serta solusi dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) peran kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan adalah memantau, menjadi perantara guru dan siswa, mendisiplinkan, memotivasi, membuat inovasi, penghubung dengan pihak luar, membimbing siswa secara berkelanjutan, membina dan meningkatkan kemampuan guru, dan membuat keputusan; (2) faktor pendukung adalah banyaknya relasi, dukungan yayasan, memfasilitasi guru; sedangkan faktor penghambat dan solusinya adalah benturan sistem dengan dinas, seringnya pergantian guru, kebijakan sertifikasi, kesadaran warga sekolah yang kurang, memberikan pemahaman, penugasan, dan memotivasi; sulitnya penerapan digital learning, mengikutsertakan pelatihan bersetifikat dan memenuhi sarana prasarana.
