Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to determine the revenue, income and efficiency of rice farming using vegetable pesticides and synthetic pesticides of IPDMIP program in Sentebang Village, Jawai District, Sambas Regency. Determination of respondents is done by simple random sampling method. The analysis used in this study is acceptance, income and efficiency. There is a difference between the income of farming using vegetable pesticides and chemical pesticides. There is a cost efficiency in the use of botanical pesticides compared to chemical pesticides with an average difference of IDR 3,534,600,-/Ha, and an average difference of IDR 1,623,506,-/Ha. The RC data is 1,182 for vegetable pesticides and 1,340 for synthetic pesticides, so it can be interpreted that if the R/C is more than one (R/C > 1), then the farming is profitable and feasible to cultivate. Key word: Business analysis, revenue, income

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of field school agricultural extension in improving the behavior of farmers in Sentebang Village, Jawai District, Sambas Regency. The extension technique used is the lecture method, discussion, demonstration, and filling out questionnaires. Respondents were given a pretest to determine the value of knowledge, attitudes, and skills before participating in field school activities. Then a posttest was given to determine the value of behavior change after attending field school. The effectiveness of changes in farmer behavior towards the field school model on rice plants was very effective in all three aspects of knowledge (78.1%), skills (72%), and attitudes (66.2%). The effectiveness of the evaluation of the field school model extension in the three aspects increased with the categories of knowledge (67.20%), skills (29.11%), and attitudes (19.33%).Keyword: evaluation, extension, farmer behavior

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk : 1) mengetahui besar biaya produksi dan pendapatan pada usaha budidaya tanaman semangka pada lahan gambut di Desa Sarang Burung Danau Kecamatan Jawai Kabupaten Sambas. 2) Untuk mengetahui kelayakan usaha budidaya tanaman semangka pada lahan gambut di Desa Sarang Burung Danau Kecamatan Jawai Kabupaten Sambas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya Penerimaan yang di dapat dalam satu kali musim tanam yaitu sebesar Rp 90.000.000,-. Keuntungan (pendapatan) yang di hasilkan dalam satu kali musim tanam adalah sebesar Rp 55.655.000,-. Pada analisis ini usaha tani semangka layak untuk dilanjutkan karena hasil perhitungan nilai R/C > 1 yaitu sebesar 2,62.
