Abstract

With more advanced technology in the era of globalization, every company strives to always improve the quality of its production and marketing management with the goal of maximizing the benefits of appropriate targets desired by each company. Marketing is one very important function within the company, which with the right marketing can determine the sales volume and position of the company (product) in the market. By analyzing the survey results with the review and assessment activities based on the theories that exist in the literature that has been collected, the respondents considered important to the companys use of marketing strategies that companies can develop and run well in line with current technology.

Abstract

This paper contributes to the existing literature by exploring the relationship of creativity, leadership, and innovation on competitive advantage; and explores the connection between creativity, leadership, and innovation. Research used literature review method as a systematic search of published works to find out what is already known about the intended research. Every company that wants to survive in the global market must have vehicles, like creativity and innovation. Beside, managing effectively to create sustainable competitive advantage needs leadership because leaders are central to the process of creating culture, systems, and structure that foster creativity and innovation.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship as a process of establishment of SMEs or business ventures in many sectors, have greatly contributed in the creation of jobs, innovation and to economic growths. Economic activities of large company tend to create opportunities for SMEs through creating new market as technology implementation. Government supports are needed to provide national intermediaries for supporting the entrepreneur to start the business, also preparing them for global competitive market. Intermediaries support government for educate entrepreneur increase their skill, knowledge, and motivate them as a coach. Intermediaries can from expert individual, private institution, and higher education institution. The purposes of this paper are to assess entrepreneurship in Indonesia and to offer some recommendations that can be followed up that can significantlygive positive impact on entrepreneurship development in Indonesia ahead of the implementation of AFTA.

Abstract

Discipline represents primary factor which follows to determine the successful an organization in attainment of target. Motivation represents psychological processes which express interaction among attitude, perception requirement, and decision that happened at someone itself. Performance represents size measure of result (output) and benefit (outcomes) from an activity process at certain function, executed by someone as individual, and also by group of people at certain range of time. Good discipline which happened in a company can increase someone performance. And also do the things of with motivation had by an employee. Higher motivation level of employee will make the employee have high commitment to finish his/her jobs better. Employees those owning high commitment to finish its work mean this employee have achieving his/her own performance. Which in company happened good discipline and supported with high motivation from each; every employee, hence by itself officer employee performance also progressively mount. Thereby, hypothetically that by together there are can be anticipated that by together there are relation.

Abstract

There is lack of evidence from previous studies that examined the relationships among entrepreneur’s knowledge, knowledge management, innovation, and firm performance. Entrepreneur if s/he has more knowledge than other entrepreneurs can be more competitive. Literature studies show that entrepreneur knowledge and knowledge management had significant and direct positive effect on innovation and firm performance. Further studies are needed for showing a model and factors that enhance innovation and improve firm performance. The purpose of this paper is to propose a framework of improving the firm performance by enhancing of the innovation, through the entrepreneur knowledge and knowledge management. Based on this paper, further research is needed on the potential role of EK and KM in innovation, and how the value of EK and KM can be maximized to have a more valuable innovation that would be an impact on firm performance.

Abstract

One Village One Product (OVOP) is a successful method in agribusiness that has been applied in various modern countries in the world. With OVOP assists the Indonesia’s industry, it open wider opportunities for both domestic and international markets. OVOP method is expected to bring prosperity to its members both within the scope of agriculture, livestock, crafts and other sectors. In this study, sustainability status for OVOP Tofu/Tahu Industry in Utan Kayu, East Jakarta, are assessed from 5 dimensions; Economic Dimension, Social Dimension, Environmental Dimension and Physical Environment, Dimension of Technology, and Leadership Dimension. In order to achieve the research objectives, there are 25 attributes obtained and are analysed to see the sustainability effect of OVOP in  Utan Kayu Tofu Industrial Center. This paper also discussed the formulation of alternative sustainable OVOP policies in this industry namely are; 1) Communication with government agencies in encouragement and support of OVOP development facilities; 2) Development of competent human resources; 3) Socializing technology investment; 4) to formulate welfare improvement policy for businessmen; 5) allocation of credit assistance and businessmen funds. All these findings are discussed in detail as the conclusion of this paper.

Abstract

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze the effect of opportunity recognition and organisation capability on SME's performance which is moderated by Business Model Innovation. It also aimed to find out and analyse the variables that most significantly affect SME's performance in Jakarta. Data collection were done by collectting questionnaires with 100 respondents who had business. In analysing data, the research used associative methods and moderated regression analysis. The results indicate that opportunity recognition and organisation capability have a significant effect on SME performance, and Business Model Innovation as moderator reduces the influence of opportunity recognition on SME performance but increase the influence of organisation capability on SME performance. Opportunity recognition and organisation capability have a relationship with SME performance, as evidenced by moderated regression analysis (β) of 1,589 and 0,479. After the Business Model Innovation moderates the two variables, the opportunity recognition relationship to SME performance has decreased to 0,657, and organisational capability to SME performance has increased to 0,724. Opportunity recognition, organisation capability, and Business Model Innovation also have a simultaneous influence on SME performance.
