Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelititian kuantitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dan korelatif, Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahi apakah ada hubungan antara bermain game online dan motivasi belajar mata pelajaran agama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat kebiasaan bermain game online oleh siswa kelas IX SMP Advent unklab adalah mendapatkan hasil mean score = 3.02 yang berarti tingkat kebiasaan sedang. (2) tingkat motivasi belajar pada mata pelajaran agama adalah mendapatkan mean score = 3.76 yang berarti tingkat motivasi belajar mata pelajaran agama adalah tinggi. (3) tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara bermain game online dan motivasi belajar agama karena setelah di uji statistic menggunakan spearman’s Rho correlation didapatkan adalah nilai p = 0.48.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyajikan hasil uji korelasi antara status sosial ekonomi dengan pembentukan karakter siswa. Metodologi penelitian berupa pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan statistika deskriptif mean untuk menggambarkan tingkat pendidikan dan penghasilan orang tua. Jenis uji korelasi yang digunakan adalah Rank Spearman. Kuesioner yang digunakan untuk mengukur pembentukan karakter siswa, diadaptasi dari Ayuningtyas (2016), di mana dari 25 pertanyaan hanya diambil 22 pertanyaan, tiga nomor yang dibuang yaitu 3, 19, dan 20, karena tidak relevan dengan tempat penelitian. Kemudian dua pertanyaan ditambah untuk mengukur indikator status sosial ekonomi. Hasil-hasil dari penelitian ini menggambarkan tingkat penghasilan orang tua siswa kelas XI SMA Unklab Airmadidi berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, sedangkan tingkat pendidikan mereka berada pada kategori tinggi. Serta didapati bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status sosial ekonomi dengan pembentukan karakter siswa.

Abstract

This quantitative research aims to examine the relationship between teacher’s creative learning and the active learning of students on religious subjects. Data were obtained through data collection from 106 respondents of Airmadidi 1 High School students. Research results show that teacher’s creative learning is at a high level. The same level is also indicated by the level of active learning of students on religious subjects. Then the relationship between teacher’s creative learning and the activeness of learning in religious subjects has no significant relationship. This explains that the students in this study did show a high level of learning activeness, but creative learning from the teacher was not a factor that caused the high activity of student learning. The recommendations in this study are for the next researchers to be able to use the same method, research design and research questionnaire, as well as different dependents, different respondents and different levels of education. Because it does not rule out the possibility of getting different results because the research was carried out at different places, respondents and times.

Abstract

This study attempts to determine the level of the pastor's ministry, the level of the congregation's participation in worship, and whether there is a significant relationship between the pastor's ministry and the congregation's involvement in worship. The instrument used is a questionnaire for the pastor's ministry that was modified from Wentuk (2013), and a "self-made" questionnaire for the congregation's participation in worship. The study involved 100 church members from Gethsemane, Danuwudu, Orion, and Lembah Doa, and data was collected using a convenience sampling method. This study revealed that a pastor's ministry was within the high category. As a result, church services are frequently attended by the Gethsemane, Danuwudu, Orion, and Lembah Doa congregations. Additionally, there is a strong connection between the congregation's participation in worship and the pastor's ministry. It suggests that church members will participate actively in church services if the pastor invests a lot of time in the areas of pastoral care, preaching, and evangelism.

Abstract

This study is conducted to find out the level of students' self-esteem in learning English, and the level of students' happiness, and the main purpose is to find out if there is a significant correlation between students' self-esteem in learning English and their happiness. This study is quantitative and descriptive correlative. Two kinds of adapted questionnaires are used according to the nature of this study, and they are Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (1965) and The Children's Happiness Scale (Morgan, 2014). The participants of the study are the 141 students at selected private senior high school grade X in Airmadidi, who enroll in the first semester of the 2016/2017 academic school year. The findings show that the level of students' self-esteem in learning English and their level of happiness are high. Moreover, there is a significant correlation between students' self-esteem in learning English and their happiness. It is recommended that English teachers need to maintain the way they teach the students by creating friendly circumstances so the students can feel free to express their feelings in positive ways and the students may learn enjoyably.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas bagaimana peran seorang guru pendidikan agama Kristen sebagai pembimbing di SMP Advent Waropen dalam membentuk karakter siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif untuk 6 siswa kelas 8 dan 9. Peneliti memilih 7 pertanyaan dan memodifikasinya sehingga pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut dapat menggambarkan pertanyaan-pertanyaan dalam penelitian yang telah dipilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru Kristen Advent di SMP Advent Waropen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa. Oleh karena itu, guru pendidikan agama Kristen haruslah cukup baik dalam membimbing siswa SMP Advent Waropen dan meimiliki karakter yang baik seperti disiplin, kejujuran, keteladanan, dan kesopanan. Peneliti juga menemukan bahwa adanya kerjasama antara guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat di dalam mengembangkan karakter siswa. Peran guru pendidikan agama Kristen sebagai pembimbing di SMP Advent Waropen sangat penting bagi para siswa. Dan dengan kerjasama oleh para guru, orang tua dan masyarakat, proses tersebut secara bertahap dapat direalisasikan dan dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu apakah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pelayanan pendeta terhadap kehadiran anggota GMAHK Jemaat Betlehem dalam peribadatan. Instrument yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang diadaptasi dari Militon Pardosi (2015). Jumlah responden sebanyak 68 tetapi 3 dibuang karena data eror, jadi responden menjadi 65 responden dengan menggunakan convenience sampling method. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelayanan kependetaan ada dalam tingkat yang tinggi. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pendeta meluangkan banyak waktu dalam melayani kepada anggota GMAHK Jemaat Betlehem Airmadidi. Selanjutnya kehadiran jemaat dalam peribadatan ada dalam tingkat yang sangat tinggi. Ini berarti bahwa jemaat Betlehem selalu terlibat dalam acara-acara perbaktian gereja, demikian juga antara pelayanan kependetaan dan kehadiran jemaat dalam peribadatan GMAHK Betlehem memiliki korelasi yang positif dan signifikan. Sebagai rekomendasi yaitu: pelayanan pendeta harus lebih ditingkatkan lagi, karena itu dapat memberikan hubungan yang positif terhadap kehadiran anggota jemaat dalam peribadatan. Hubungan yang positif adalah jika pelayanan pendeta tinggi maka kehadiran dalam ibadah juga tinggi.

Abstract

This quantitative, descriptive, and correlational study aims to see whether there is a connection between students' academic achievement and the styles of learning, auditory, and kinesthetics. This questionnaire was filled out by 100 respondents, and convenience sampling was used to gather the information. According to the results of a study, kinesthetics learning is the most common type of learning for students, and their academic achievement comes into the good range. The three types of learning—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic—do not significantly differ from one another. It is recommended that teachers promote participation from students during the teaching and learning process by creating simulations, demonstrations, and exercises to help students comprehend the information being taught.  Keywords: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, student academic achievement

Abstract

This study is a quantitative study to determine students' perceptions of parents' spirituality measured in terms of reading God's word, morning and evening worship, Sabbath worship, evening prayer requesting prayer, praying and limited to data collected through questionnaires based on respondents' perceptions questionnaires. Students' interest in Adventist Christian subjects was measured in terms of activeness during the learning process. The level of children's perception of the spirituality of their parents is at a high level with a mean of 4.12. Meanwhile, the level of student interest in Adventist Christian subjects was at a high level with a mean of 3.67. there is no significant difference in the level of student interest in Adventist Christian religion. there is no significant difference in the level of student interest in Adventist Christian religion. The difference test using ANOVA as shown in table 4, found (Sig = .662 = 0.05). Thus, this finding accepts H01 which states that there is no difference in the level of student interest in Adventist Christianity and there is no significant correlation between parental spirituality and student interest in Adventist Christian subjects (Sig = 0.88 = 0.05). In the absence of such a significant relationship, H02 which states that there is no significant relationship between parental spirituality and student interest in Adventist Christian subjects is "not rejected". his shows that the spirituality of parents does show a high level but there is no significant relationship with students' interest in learning, this also shows that other factors such as the place where they go to school can make children have a high interest in things. spirituality. Abstract

This study focuses on students' spiritual level and academic achievement. The instrument used is a questionnaire adopted from Umboh and Tebo (2015) regarding the level of spirituality. The total participants were 110 students from classes Xa, Xb, Xc, and Xd SMA X using the convenience sampling method. The results of this study revealed that the spiritual level of students and the level of academic achievement of students were in the high category. And there is a significant relationship between the level of student spirituality and student academic achievement. So, the higher the spiritual level of students, the higher their academic achievement of students. As a recommendation, because schools are educational institutions, teachers should pay attention to the spiritual development of students by involving students in spiritual activities.
