Abstract

Abstract

The sea transportation system plays a very important role in a country's economy. but there are still a number of issues that are of concern to commercial companies such as late delivery of spare parts and ship operations that occur at PT. Sumberbumi Global Niaga. Based on these problems the authors also conducted an analysis to determine whether there is an effect of the late delivery of spare parts to the ship's operations. The author uses quantitative research methods. With a total sample of 12 items. In searching for the calculation results the authors conducted several data analyzes with the results of the correlation test of 0.897 (rxy = 0.897) which proved that a positive correlation exists. And while tcount = 6,812 (6,812> 1,812) and fcount = 17.14 (17.14> 4.96), where if tcount> ttable and fcount> ftabel Linear regression equation is Y = A + bX, then there is a significant relationship between variable late delivery of spare parts against ship operations. Therefore, the results of the study showed that the late delivery of spare parts proved to be significant for ship operations at PT. Sumberbumi Global Niaga. The author also explained several solutions, namely by applying additional spare parts or backup. The goal is as an anticipation if there is a lack of supply of ship parts, so that ship operations are not disrupted if there is a lead time on spare parts.

Abstract

The Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC), the 74th Session held on May 13-17, 2019, has highlighted several agendas, such as air pollution and energy efficiency. The draft guide to Port State Control (PSC) on contingency measures to address non-compliant fuel oil provides more details on managing the fuel still on board after the final fuel oil non-availability report (FONAR). Tanjung Priok Port is the largest and most complete port in Indonesia and is expected to provide reception facilities to support its implementation. The reception facilities owned by Tanjung Priok Port consist of tugboats, barges, separator pumps, and storage tanks. Most of these facilities are considered sufficient to provide and serve the needs of ships, especially those that need the appropriate fuel oil to come to the port. However, there is a potential shortage of reception facility services. This study aims to determine the availability and adequacy of port reception facilities in Tanjung Priok to formulate strategies to overcome non-compliant oil implementation. Field studies and surveys of respondents were conducted for data collection. Gap analysis is used to compare perceptions and expectations of the performance of port revenue facilities. The survey instrument consists of legality, equipment, infrastructure, and human resources aspects.

Abstract

Indonesia as a maritime country where sea transportation plays an important role and strategic position in mobilizing the movement of goods and services, where international trade activities in this case exports and imports use sea transportation. PT. Container Maritime Activities (CMA) Indonesia, based in Jakarta, is an agency shipping company engaged in container shipping, in other words, having its own containers. In economic activity, it cannot be separated from the import process, because imports are a reflection of a country's economic sovereignty, whether goods and services made in the country are still the masters in their own country. A country imports because it experiences a deficiency (lack/failure) in carrying out the production of goods and services for the consumption needs of its population. In this case the Delivery Order (DO) document is required by the importer to remove the goods from the container terminal terminal

Abstract

Abstract

The issue of climate change due to the greenhouse effect encourages various parties to try reducing emissions in energy fulfilment. In maritime sector, IMO has adopted mandatory measures to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) from international shipping, under IMO's pollution prevention treaty (MARPOL). Besides Carbon Oxides (COX), statistics show that other exhaust emissions from ships, such as Sulfur Oxides(SOX), Nitrogen Oxides(NOX) and Particulate Matters(PM) have also increased significantly in the past years due to the rapid increase of the maritime transportation. It is necessary for the shipping industries to find out the available clear energy to reduce the emission of GHG. This paper will discuss application of solar and wind energy on ship power systems, current status and future prospect.
