Abstract

The process of cognitive development is inseparable from a method or method used by a teacher in providing knowledge to children. This article aims to see how the use of the Jarimatika method in improving the cognitive abilities of Bimbel Calistung Alamanda children. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method that describes the situation that occurs without using calculations. The data collection used is observation, namely by observing children, interviews which are carried out to teachers of the Jarimatika method and documentation, which is carried out to take pictures of some of the children's activities. The subjects of this study were children aged 5-6 years in Bimbel Alamanda. The result of this study is that the use of this Jarimatika method can improve cognitive abilities, especially in the field of arithmetic with three stages, namely (1) the enactive stage, which introduces children to concrete objects around them, (2) the iconic stage, which is manipulating these concrete objects. into a visual form and (3) the symbolic stage in which the child transforms the image into a symbol.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that many children have given up on doing something without trying it first. Children are not brave in solving existing problems. This will certainly affect the life of children in the future. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of puzzle games in stimulating early childhood problem-solving abilities. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive type, namely research that provides an overview of the observed object or research focus. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation at RA Al-Hidayah. The results and analysis of this study are that children are able to solve problems on their own without help from the teacher. The processes carried out by children in solving problems are understanding and analyzing, designing and planning solutions, finding solutions to problems, and examining solutions. So that way it is very effective in doing puzzle games to stimulate problem solving abilities in early childhood.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of children whose behavior is not in accordance with the religious and moral values ​​that have been taught. This is caused by the lack of instilling religious and moral values ​​in children from an early age. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in instilling religious and moral values ​​in early childhood in the digitalization era. This type of research is a qualitative using a descriptive method, namely the description of the situation experienced. Data collection used in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study are that parents and teachers use several methods in instilling religious and moral values ​​in early childhood, namely 1) exemplary methods; 2) habituation method; 3) advice method; 4) storytelling method. Educators and parents have roles in their respective environments. Educators play more of a role in the school environment, while parents play more of a role in the home environment. However, both of them continue to work together so that children can have good religious and moral values ​​in this digitalization era.
