Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence of service quality and price to customer satisfaction on PT. Global AndalasCargotama. The research methodology was used descriptive quantitative, unit analysis in this research was PT. GlobalAndalas Cargotama and its observation units were customers PT. Global Andalas Cargotama. Population in this researchwas customer at PT. Global Andalas Cargotama 1,260 people. The technique of determining the number of samples used inthis study was the slovin formula and amounted to 93 respondents. The research method used data collection techniquesthrough interviews, literature studies, and questionnaires conducted systematically based on research objectives. Themethod of analysis used to solve the problem and prove the hypothesis was by descriptive analysis, regression analysis.This analysis includes: validity and reliability, classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testingthrough t and F test, and test of coefficient of determination (R2). From the analysis obtained regression analysis CustomerSatisfaction = 1.931 + 0.467 Service Quality + 0.226 Price + e. The result of determination coefficient test (R2) showed that58.1% variable of customer satisfaction is influenced by service quality and price variable, while the rest equal to 41.9%explained by the influence of other factors or variables outside of models such as advertising, distribution channels, andothers are not addressed in this study. F test results showed that Fcount> Ftable is 62.330 > 3.10 which means free variables(service quality and price) simultaneously affect the dependent variable (customer satisfaction). While the t test showed thatthe service quality variable has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at PT. Global Andalas Cargotamawhere tcount 7,748 > ttable 1,66177 and price variable have positive and significant influence to customer satisfaction at PT.Global Andalas Cargotama where tcount 3.224 > ttable 1.

Abstract

Prepare before teaching is very important acion, in order to make teaching easily. One of the prepare is making a lesson plan. Lesson plan is software for teacher to track the lessson plan for their classes. The goal of this research is to find out “The correlation between the students’ perception on the lecturer’s ability in making lesson plan and their achievement in TEFL at English Educational Department of Tarbiyah Faculty IAIN-SU”. The study was conducted on the nineth semester students of English Educational Department of Tarbiyah Faculty IAIN SU Medan. The population of this study was 78 and the writer took all population as a sample. The data was analyzed by the Product Moment Correlation technique. From the calculation of the data, it found that there is a significant correlation between the students’ perception on the lecturers’ ability in making lesson plan and their achievement in TEFL or the Hypothesis Alternative (Ha) is accepted and the Null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Because rcalculate is bigger than rtable or 0.336>0.224.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to find out whether or not: (1) students’ achievement in reading ccomprehension taught by INSERT strategy is significantly higher than QAR strategy, (2) students’ achievement in reading comprehension those who have visual learning style higher than those who have auditory learning style, (3) there is interaction between reading strategies and learning styles on students’ achievement in reading comprehension. An experimental research with factorial design 2 x2 was used in this study. There were 120 students from the academic year of English Department (Tadris English) STAIN Gajah Putih Takengon in Central Aceh taken as the sample of this research. The students were divided into two groups. The first group was treated by using INSERT strategy and the second group was treated by QAR strategy. Learning styles was measured by giving the questionnaire for classifying the students that have visual and auditory learning style. Students’ achievement in reading comprehension was measuring by given essay and multiple choice test. The data were analyzed by applying Two-Way ANNOVA. The result reveals that (1) students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by INSERT (X=30.23) is significantly higher than students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by by QAR (X=27.20) with Fobserve=15.70 > Ftable=3.92 at the level of significant α=0.05, (2) students’ achievement in reading comprehension who have visual learning style (X=26.17) is higher than students’ achievement who have auditory learning style (X=24.83) with Fobserve=7.12 > Ftable=3.92 at the level of significant α=0.05, (3) there is significant interaction between reading strategies and learning styles on students’ achievement in reading comprehension with Fobserve=12.07 > Ftable=3.92. After the Tuckey Test was applied, it showed that the students who have visual learning style got higher result if they were taught by using INSERT strategy and students who have auditory learning style got higher result if they were taught by QAR strategy.

Abstract

Human beings had many struggles in their lives that must be survived in the problematic situation. Many ways to healing were the alternative in the problem solving. The motivational quotes came to stimulate the soul to rise back in the slope of enlightenment. Nowadays, the social media is as bridge to gain the information especially in Instagram reels. The platform to share daily life is a media to find many motivational quotes. The quotes contain a linguistic aspect especially in the mood system. The aim of this study was to investigate the mood investigation in the motivational quotes of the Instagram reels. This study applied the content analysis method. The data was obtained from two accounts of Instagram reels, namely @quotes and @merciful_path. The result of this study could be seen that declarative was the dominant of mood investigation the motivational quotes of the Instagram Reels because especially in the motivational quotes consisted of the provocation words to attract people attentions and contain complete functions which was easy to deliver the message for people. They needed to create the functional structure word organization not only the grammatical rules but also the semantic area.

Abstract

The characteristic of Indonesian people especially students in the school or university are more contributing of English varieties. Video presentation is one of the phenomena occurring in English varieties. The aim of the study is to identify categorization of English varieties used in students’ video presentations. This study focuses: 1) how the categorization of English varieties used in students’ video presentations; 2) what the dominant categorization of English variety in students’ video presentations is; 3) why the dominant categorization of English variety used in students’ video presentations. This study will apply the qualitative method. The data is obtained from the students’ video presentations in STKIP Budidaya Binjai and Battuta University. The data will be conducted by applying content analysis. The stages of the study are: 1) collecting the data from the students’ video presentation in the group tasks; 2) categorization of English varieties into pronunciation, plural, and grammar; 3) identifying the dominant categorization of English varieties in students’ video presentation; 4) investigation the reason of the dominant categorization of English varieties in students’ video presentation. The results are: 1). the categorization of English varieties consists of pronunciation, plural, and grammar base on the data in spoken area, 2). the dominant of the categorization English varieties chosen is because the highest percentage used in the video. The percentage of pronunciation is 73.92%, 3).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of children whose behavior is not in accordance with the religious and moral values ​​that have been taught. This is caused by the lack of instilling religious and moral values ​​in children from an early age. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in instilling religious and moral values ​​in early childhood in the digitalization era. This type of research is a qualitative using a descriptive method, namely the description of the situation experienced. Data collection used in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study are that parents and teachers use several methods in instilling religious and moral values ​​in early childhood, namely 1) exemplary methods; 2) habituation method; 3) advice method; 4) storytelling method. Educators and parents have roles in their respective environments. Educators play more of a role in the school environment, while parents play more of a role in the home environment. However, both of them continue to work together so that children can have good religious and moral values ​​in this digitalization era.
