Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills on the subject of distance and time in class IV.a SDN Belendung Tangerang. The subjects of this study were students of class IV.a totaling 29 people. The results of the research show that student communication with the teacher at the time of learning the material is quite active and can follow the material. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research and uses cooperative learning methods. The results showed that on the criteria students could state the problems of the questions. This research departs from the background of learning carried out by teachers in general is by lecturing concepts, principles, and laws in a ready-made form to students. Learning in this way proved to be less successful because it was found that students' understanding was not yet comprehensive on the material being taught, so that students were less proficient in formulating their understanding to be able to solve or solve problems that still revolved around the material given previously. This research uses direct observation into class IV.a and learning outcomes tests. Hopefully, after conducting this research and interview, we and the team will get the answers we are currently researching and make the learning much better than before this research was held.

Abstract

Evaluation is an important activity carried out by educators in the learning process. By evaluating educators, they can improve their competence in class management both in choosing learning methods, media, teaching materials, and so on which can motivate students to learn. In addition, with evaluation educators can find out the level of success of their students. Therefore educators must carry out evaluation activities properly. However, in reality there are still many educators who have not carried out the evaluation process properly, especially in elementary schools. One of the causes is the lack of knowledge that educators have about the evaluation itself and it is often found that teachers manipulate student grades, as a result of manipulating grades will have a bad impact on their students. So that knowledge is needed about the concept, the role of evaluation to the procedures for carrying out evaluations in order to obtain evaluation results that can describe the real state of students.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Intelegensi merupakan kemampuan yang bersifat umum dan potensial. Para ahli tidak mecapai kesepakatan dalam banyak hal mengenai intelegensi. Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah seseorang anak sudah cukup matang untuk diterima di kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar atau belum, untuk mengetahui mengetahui dan memahami intelegensi peserta didik yang berbeda-beda, untuk mengadakan seleksi terhadap calon siswa atau mahasiswa dan sebagai salah satu informasi dalam mengadakan diagnosis kesulitan belajar. Metode penelitian: Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan informasi adalah dengan menggunakan metode observasi dengan mendatangi salah satu sekolah. Hasil penelitian: Para ahli juga berbeda dalam melihat komponen-komponen yang terdapat dalam intelegensi. Hal itu tampak dalam teori-teori yang mereka ajukan. Beberapa ahli yang mengajukan teorinya mengenai intelegensi, diantaranya adalah Terman, Spearman, Strenborg, Thurstone, Guildford dan Gardner. Intelegensi di ukur menggunakan tes intelegensi dan di skala menggunakan ukuran yang di kenal dengan IQ. Kesimpulan: Kecerdasan sebagai kemampuan untuk memproses informasi sehingga masalah-masalah yang kita hadapi dapat dipecahkan (problem solved) dan dengan demikian pengetahuan pun bertambah.
