Abstract

The purpose of the research were to determine differences in seed growth sangkuriang catfish (Clarias sp) between feeding silk worms (Tubifex) with feed pellets ando determine which of the treatments produced seed growth sangkuriang catfish (Clarias sp) the greater of feeding silk worms (Tubifex) and feed pellets. The research was conducted in  Iringmulyo Metro East, Metro City, on July 21 until August 19, 2013. Samples at each of the two treatments was 50 sangkuriang fry catfish (Clarias sp). Data were analyzed by using the formula t test to analysis the equality of two on average. To test the equality of two average gained 8.5 thit > tdaf 2.00 at significance level α = 0.05, so thit > tdaf, then reject H0, which means there is a real difference in the growth of the seed length sangkuriang catfish (Clarias sp) between nutrients obtained from food hair worms (Tubifex) with feed pellets. Sangkuriang seed catfish (Clarias sp) with a source of nutrients feed hair worms (Tubifex) with a source of nutrients feed pellets can be used as an alternative learning objects on the growth and development material. Kata kunci: cacing sutra, pelet, pertumbuhan lele sangkuriang.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the effect of instructional methods and knowledge about the environment toward  environmental concern. The samples of the research were 60 students of biology education department, Muhammdiyah Metro University selected randomly. Data were collected using a valid instrument in form  questionare of environment concern and test of knowledge about environment with. Data were analyzed by using ANOVA 2 x 2. Findings of the research indicated that the environmental concern of students who were taught by quantum learning and had knowledge about the environment better than those who were taught using in conventional methods. Therefore, the quantum learning method  should be taken into consideration to increase the environmental concern on student with upper group of knowledge about the environment.Kata kunci: Kepedulian lingkungan, quantum learning, pengetahuan lingkungan

Abstract

Development of the Biology Module that integrates Islamic values based on the problems in the Integrated Islamic High School Darul Hikmah Pasir Sakti, East Lampung, the teaching materials used are not in accordance with the school background and learning outcomes in the material of Biodiversity are low. Based on these problems, this study aims to produce a biological module that integrates Islamic values on the subject matter of Biodiversity and effectively increases the understanding and awareness of students in class X. The development of this module uses the Borg and Gall development model. Subjects of assessment are material experts, media experts, linguists, religious experts, education practitioners, and class X students. The instruments used are questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. The results of this study are a Biology module that integrates Islamic values on the subject matter of biodiversity for students of class X. Based on the results of the module quality assessment, the category is very good and effective in increasing students' awareness and understanding. So it can be concluded that the biology module developed is suitable to be used as an independent teaching material for class X students. Keywords: Awareness,  Integration Of Islamic Values, Module, Understanding

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities in class require learning media that are able to convey material messages well. Learning media can be made by utilizing information technology, namely in the form of android-based learning media mobile learning. This research aims to (1) produce android-based mobile learing learning media in high school class X Invertebrate material that is good and worthy of being used as a learning media. (2) find out the response of users of mobile learning media, namely high school class X students to the learning media developed. This type of research is development research. Learning media developed using a development model proposed by Thiagarajan. The subjects of this study were 3 expert lecturers, 10 students in the limited trial and 20 students in the field trial. From the results of the study, product validity is in very good and valid criteria with a score of 83.64% in design aspects, 100% in material aspects, 93% in IT aspects, 83.33% in limited trials, 85.10% in field trials. This mobile learning media learning product is considered valid and feasible to be used to support biology learning activities.
