<![CDATA[ABSTRAKModel Problem Based Learning ialah suatu model belajar berbasis masalah yang menjadikan suatu permasalahan sebagai titik tolak paling penting dalam kegiatan belajar.Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep dalam materi PPKn bagi peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan model Problem Based Learning berpendekatan Saintifik dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas VII yang saat ini sudah naik ke kelas VIII pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022 di SMPN 7 Kota Jambi, yang terdiri dari 8 kelas dan berjumlah 256 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perbandingan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu kelas eksperimen (x) = 79,48 sedangkan kelas kontrol (x) = 62,83. Berdasarkan hasil analisa kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji-t maka di peroleh hasil thitung (4,6921) > ttabel (1,6706). Hal ini berarti bahwa hipotesis H0 di terima dan Ha ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL berpendekatan Saintifik dapat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep dalam materi PPKn. dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 atau taraf kepercayaan 95%. Data peningkatan pemahaman konsep pada materi PPKn yang diajar dengan menggunakan model PBL berpendekatan Saintifik lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil data peningkatan pemahaman konsep pada materi PPKn yang diajar menggunakan metode konvensional.Kata Kunci: PBL, Saintifik, Pemahaman Konsep PPKnABSTRACTThe Problem Based Learning model is a problem-based learning model that makes a problem the most important starting point in learning activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in understanding concepts in Civics for students who learn to use the Problem Based Learning model with a Scientific approach with students who learn to use conventional methods. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental research design. The population in this study is class VII students who have now advanced to class VIII in the 2021/2022 academic year at SMPN 7 Jambi City, which consists of 8 classes and opens 256 people. The results showed a significant comparison between the experimental class and the control class, namely the experimental class (x) = 79.48 while the control class (x) = 62.83. Based on the results of quantitative analysis using the t-test, the results obtained are tcount (4.6921) > ttable (1.6706). This means that the hypothesis H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. Thus, it can be said that the PBL model with a scientific approach can have an effect on increasing understanding of concepts in PPKn material. with a significance level of 0.05 or a 95% confidence level.
