Abstract

The strength of the anchor block structure in the suspension bridge is very dependent on its weight to be able to bear the tensile load of the backstay cable. Therefore, it is necessary to have dimensions large enough to withstand the tensile force. Concrete has good compressive strength but does not have good tensile strength, the tensile strength of concrete is only about 10%-15% of its compressive strength. Therefore, in planning anchor blocks, anchor blocks are needed making of steel that has high yield and fracture stresses and is planted in anchor concrete blocks to withstand the force before the tensile stresses are transferred to the concrete blocks. In this paper, steel H 300.300.10.15 is used as steel anchors embedded in concrete blocks. The purpose of this study was to obtain the stress value that occurs in the anchor block using the Ansys assistance program, obtain the appropriate reinforcement distance in the maximum tensile area (critical area), and obtain a graphic description of the influence of the anchor structure geometry due to the load from the backstay cable. This research was conducted using a numerical study using the SAP 2000 assistance program to calculate the forces in the entire suspension bridge structure, then using the Ansys analysis assistance program to obtain the tensile stress that occurs in the anchor block which is also modeled in Ansys with boundary conditions that are close to the existing conditions in the field. The results of Ansys analysis show that the maximum tensile stress in H profile steel 300.300.10.15 is 73.27 MPa and the maximum tensile stress in concrete is 1.26 MPa. The value of 1.26 MPa is still within a safe limit because the tensile stress is still below the allowable tensile stress for the concrete of 2.23 MPa. From the results of empirical analysis, the maximum reinforcement space in the critical area is 150 mm, and in the non-critical area, it is 250 mm.

Abstract

The transmission line system which is currently growing rapidly in Sumatra, requires a reliable interconnection network to meet the electricity demand for the West Sumatra region. PT. PLN as a provider of electricity businesses in Indonesia conducted planning and destruction tests to design a new model Extra High Voltage Transmission Line (SUTET) tower with specification of 66.6 meters height, slim type tower, 275 kV, lattice BB+15, quadrapole zebra (435/55 mm2) 2 cct. This research aims to study tower collapse behavior caused by working loads, analyze and compare the suitability level of tower deformation and natural frequency among MS Tower, SAP 2000 space truss analysis, SAP 2000 space frame analysis with destruction test results. SAP 2000 space frame deformation analysis shows that the tower is unstable in the Leg section. The analysis of natural frequency and the mode shape in the SAP 2000 space frame analysis is close to the value of the natural frequency destruction test with a deviation of 30%. The tower collapse occurred due to imperfection geometry on the legs section, resulting in a global collapse. Improvements in the form of adding equal angle to the hip bracing were carried out, the result was able to withstand a load case load of 9870 up to 100%. Space frame analysis on SAP 2000 is closer to MS Tower, this can be seen from the deformation and natural frequency values that approach each other from the two analyses.

Abstract

The condition of road pavement is going to decrease during its service life. To keep a pavement functioning, maintenance must be continuously performed. However, the maintenance that has been carried out so far has not been carried out optimally because the budgeting system is still carried out annually based on the results of a road condition survey. The preparation of the budget is carried out annually by BBPJN SUMUT as the relevant stake holder, based on the FWD value with a back calculation program. This causes funding to become unsustainable so that it affects unsustainable handling as well. There are several methods for calculating predictions of future damage values including IRMS-V3 and RONET. Both have a basis for calculating the value of IRI as the main variable in predicting damage. The purpose of this study is to use both methods and compare them to predict IRI values, traffic growth values, and also the remaining planned life values in order to obtain a funding/budget planning scheme and the right type of treatment. The type of data used is secondary data sourced from North Sumatra BBPJN. The analysis is carried out by calculating the IRI value, traffic volume, and the remaining planned life for the next 5 years. Based on the results of the analysis obtained, road damage will occur more quickly using the RONET method. Road maintenance funds resulting from the IRMS-V3 method are more economical. Then validated using statistical t test. The results show that there is no difference in the average predicted IRI value, but there is a difference in the average predicted RSL value for the two methods

Abstract

Road pavements are an important part of transportation infrastructure and require regular maintenance. This study aimed to model the condition of road pavement by the probabilistic method of Markov chains. The method used in this study is a literature study and data collection from a survey of road pavement conditions in the field. Data analysis was performed using the Markov chain probabilistic method, which can be used to model changes in pavement conditions over time. The results showed that the Markov chain probabilistic method can be used to model changes in pavement conditions with high accuracy. This method can also be used to make predictions of future pavement conditions and determine the right time to perform maintenance and repairs. The study recommends using the Markov chain probabilistic method as a tool to model pavement conditions and make appropriate maintenance and repair decisions. Thus, it is expected to increase the effectiveness of road pavement management and extend the service life of road pavement.

Abstract

The wharf is where the ships are moored in the harbour. In addition, the pier is also the place where loading and unloading of goods takes place and passengers boarding and falling from and to the ship. The wharf is also the activity location for refueling ships, supplying ships with drinking water, clean water, and arranging channels for dirty/waste water to be further processed at the port. So that optimum planning is needed so that the performance of the building can meet safety and comfort standards This research modifies conventional precast floor slabs into hollow core slab precast slabs with 2 span variations. Dead loads are calculated based on specific gravity, live loads and traffic loads are calculated by "Loading for Bridges" (SNI 1725-2016), crane loads use the Ship to Shore Gantry Cranes Brand Liebherr specifications with a capacity of 50 tons, ship berthing loads and mooring loads ships are calculated based on the Technical standards and commentaries for port and harbor facilities in Japan, OCDI, 2020, while earthquake loads are calculated by "Bridge planning against earthquake loads" (SNI 2833:2016). Steel piles are calculated by "specifications for structural steel buildings" (SNI 1729:2015) and reinforced concrete structures are calculated by “Structural concrete requirements for buildings and explanations” (SNI 2847 2019). Structural analysis for structures is carried out using the help of SAP2000 software. From the research, it was obtained the results of modification of conventional precast floor slabs with hollow core slab precast floor plates with a span of 5.2 meters and a thickness of 350 mm. is an increase in the iron ratio of 38.57% and a decrease in the shear capacity of the punch by 56.57%. For a span of 10.4 meters, a plate with a thickness of 500 mm was used so that the result was an increase in the ratio of iron by 114.60% and a decrease in the shear capacity of the punch by 74.06%.

Abstract

Road-based mass transit systems or commonly referred to as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) are currently experiencing quite rapid development in various countries including Indonesia. At the end of 2020 the Government has inaugurated urban road-based mass public transportation with the Buy The Service (BTS) Service Scheme in 5 (five) major cities including the city of Medan. Evaluation or strategy must continue to be carried out so that this BTS mode can continue to be sustainable. One of the steps that can be taken is to examine the level of satisfaction and loyalty of current users to continue using the BTS mode. This underlies this research to analyze the level of passenger satisfaction of the Trans Metro Deli Bus and to analyze the effect of passenger satisfaction on the loyalty of the Trans Metro Deli Bus passengers. The Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) Method is used to analyze the satisfaction level of Trans Metro Deli Bus passengers because this method can be used to evaluate and design management from the results of the analysis of service user perceptions regarding the suitability between expectations and quality received. While the Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS – SEM) Method is used to analyze the effect of passenger satisfaction on passenger loyalty because this method can be used to estimate model relationships. This analysis method uses Smart PLS software. Through measurements using the IPA method, the results show that the highest level of passenger satisfaction is found in the safety attribute (92.59%), then the safety attribute (90.54%), and comfort (91.11%). All three are included in the achievement quadrant that must be maintained, and the attributes of equality (87.24%) and regularity (87.74%) are included in the low priority quadrant while the affordability attribute (84.79%) is included in the quadrant which is the main priority for improvement . Meanwhile, if analyzed per each corridor, in the Medan Tuntungan – Merdeka Square corridor, the affordability attribute is included in the low priority quadrant because in terms of quality it is still low, but expectations are also low. And when analyzed on a job basis, the regularity attribute is included in the top priority to be improved. The results of the analysis of the effect of passenger satisfaction on passenger loyalty using the PLS-SEM method concluded that the effect of passenger satisfaction on passenger loyalty was significant with an influence value of 0.647 and the direction of the relationship between the two variables was positive.

Abstract

Natural frequency is one of the factors in bridge construction. Because the natural frequency can be used as an indicator to detect the ability of the bridge, including the ability to withstand resonance. In addition, the natural frequency is also a way to analyze damage that will or has already occurred to a bridge. One of the analytical methods that can be used to analyze natural frequency values is the Undamped-Degree of Freedom. The results of this study indicate that the natural frequency value of the Sei Wampu Bridge has a value of 10.97 rad/s for the first mode, 18.06 rad/sec for the second ,mode and 20.34 rad/sec for the third mode. From the results of this analysis, it can be seen that the natural frequency value will increase as the bridge mode increases.
