Abstract

Information Technology is the use of computer equipment created to assist human work. Information technology itself covers various fields including the manufacture of hardware and software. The Tanah Laut State Polytechnic Information Technology study program really needs a system to manage the tri dharma activities of its teaching lecturers. This is caused by not optimal information about tri dharma activities which results in inaccurate reports, slow internal quality audit processes because it takes a long time to collect the required data. To overcome the existing problems a management application was built using the waterfall method. The waterfall method is a software development method that has several advantages including having a clear structure, being able to explain the final results of the software properly, and being informative. This application can help the study program manage information regarding the implementation of the tridharma of its lecturers.

Abstract

Himpunan mahasiswa Teknologi Informasi (HIMA TI) Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut merupakan salah satu organisasi kemahasiswaan yang beranggotakan para mahasiswa Program Studi Teknologi Informasi. HIMA TI melakukan kegiatan-kegiatan pengembangan kreativitas, tanggung jawab sosial, dan memenuhi kepentingan serta kesejahteraan mahasiswa, diantaranya kompetisi futsal, kompetisi permainan/ game, dan kegiatan musyawarah mahasiswa. Dalam mendukung keberhasilan kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut tentu dibutuhkan kerjasama yang baik di antara pengurus dan para anggota HIMA TI, utamanya ketua HIMA yang menjadi penggerak utama organisasi. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan suatu mekanisme perangkingan yang dapat digunakan sebagai referensi dalam memilih ketua HIMA TI. Pada penelitian ini, dibangunlah suatu aplikasi perangkingan calon ketua HIMA dengan menggunakan berbagai parameter yang relevan selain kepopuleran mahasiswa, diantaranya nilai akademik, kemampuan berbahasa asing, serta kemampuan berbicara di depan publik. Aplikasi dikembangkan dengan model software development life cycle (SDLC) berupa waterfall dan metode perangkingan data TOPSIS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dikembangkan dan metode yang digunakan dapat memberikan referensi ranking calon ketua HIMA TI

Abstract

Kurikulum dan rencana pembelajaran semester (RPS) merupakan bagian dalam perkuliahan yang berfungsi dalam mengatur seluruh kegiatan perkuliahan program studi dalam suatu periode tertentu. Penyusunan kurikulum memakan waktu yang lama dan harus memiliki panduan maupun standard yang baik. Salah satu program studi yang memiliki standar dalam perancangan kurikulum adalah Jurusan Teknik informatika. Perancangan kurikulum memiliki banyak proses seperti perumusan, evaluasi, validasi, hingga distribusi ke pihak terkait. Oleh karena itu, program studi sistem informasi memerlukan sebuah sistem yang dapat merancang kurikulum, mengevaluasi RPS serta mendistribusikan hasil kurikulum yaitu RPS kepada pihak terkait secara mudah dan cepat. Dengan Sistem pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL.

Abstract

In the contemporary digital age, effective management and collaborative use of files are essential for the efficient operation of administrative and educational activities. As a result, there is a significant demand for a more secure, self-sufficient, and well-managed solution. An initial survey was conducted among the faculty, staff, and students of Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut to investigate their utilization of Google Drive services. The primary goal of this survey is to gain a deeper insight into the requirements and preferences of users with respect to file storage and collaboration. The implementation process of Nextcloud, including its installation, configuration, and reliability and security testing as an object storage provider, is underway within the Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut environment. To evaluate the effectiveness of Nextcloud as a replacement for Google Drive at Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut, we will analyze the survey results and the progress of Nextcloud implementation. Special attention will be given to aspects such as security, scalability, and data availability. We will also assess whether Nextcloud can meet the collaborative and file-sharing needs of Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut. The outcomes of this research are expected to provide a clearer understanding of Nextcloud's capabilities as a superior and more secure choice for object storage in an educational setting. Additionally, these findings may be valuable for other educational institutions seeking alternative solutions for managing their data and files.
