Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi karakteristik tingkat kesesuaian lahan kelapa sawit yaitu kesesuaian lahan aktual dan kesesuaian lahan potensial di Kecamatan Secanggang, Kabupaten Langkat, menganalisis usaha – usaha perbaikan yang perlu dilakukan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman kelapa sawit, membuat peta kesesuaian lahan aktual dan kesesuaian lahan potensial tanaman kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Secanggang Kabupaten Langkat dan membuat rekomendasi pemupukan pada lahan tanaman kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metoda survei yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu persiapan, pra survei, survei utama, analisis tanah di Laboratorium serta pengolahan data. Hasil dari Penelitian ini adalah kesesuaian lahan kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Secanggang yaitu S2 wa,na (dengan faktor pembatas ketersediaan air dan Unsur hara) terdapat pada 10 desa di Kecamatan Secanggang yaitu Desa Perkotaan, Secanggang, Sei ular, Selotong, Tanjung Ibus, Telaga jernih, Teluk, Karang gading, Kebun Kelapa, Pantai Gading. S2 wa,nr, na (faktor pembatas ketersediaan air, retensi hara dan ketersediaan UH) terdapat pada Desa Kepala Sungai. S2 wa eh (faktor pembatas ketersediaan air, dan bahaya erosi) terdapat pada Desa Hinai Kiri. S2 wa (faktor pembatas ketersediaan air) terdapat pada Desa Karang Anyar. Usaha perbaikan untuk faktor pembatas retensi hara dengan penambahan bahan organik, faktor pembatas ketersediaan hara yang rendah dengan pemupukan, faktor pembatas curah hujan yang cukup tinggi dengan pembuatan saluran drainase. Faktor pembatas kedalaman efektif dan temperatur tidak dapat dilakukan perbaikan

Abstract

Study of the characteristics of the land in the area of refugee relocation eruption of MountSinabung intended as a basis for the use of land-based watershed management in the regionhas been carried out in November and December 2014. The study was conducted using asurvey at the site which is administered in the village of Nagara, Pertibi Lama and PertibiTembe Tiga Panah Sub District Karo District. Field observations carried out on the physicalcharacteristics of the land and soil sampling for laboratory testing of physical, chemical andbiological soil. The study also conducted bassed secondary data sourced from the analysis ofvarious thematic maps such geological maps, soil type maps, topographic maps and maps ofwatershed areas. The results showed that the area of Mount Sinabung relocation is in theupstream region of two important watersheds in North Sumatra and Aceh, which WampuWatershed and Singkil Watershed, the dominant topography sloping to undulating located ata height of more than 1,550 m above sea level. Land in refugee relocation sites Sinabungclassified into subgroups Andic Dystropept which has properties (smeary orthixotropic), the soil is very loose (BD <0.8 g / cm3) and high content of organic matter in theupper layers of the soil pH suitable for upland crops, and the number (population) microbesare also high.

Abstract

This research to the characteristics of the land suitability of coconut plantations in the Secanggang District. This research also analyzes the improvement efforts that need to be done in increasing the productivity of coconut plants and make maps of actual land suitability and potential land suitability of coconut plants in Secanggang District. As well as providing recommendations for fertilization on coconut plantations. This research was conducted using a survey method consisting of four stages of activity, namely preparation, main survey, soil analysis and data processing. It can be seen from the results of this study that the potential land suitability of coconut in Secanggang District is S3 f and n (marginally according to nutrient retention factors and nutrient availability) in the Village of Kepala Sungai, Tanjung Ibus, Karang Gading, Perkotaan and Telaga Jernih. S3 f (marginally according to nutrient retention factor) in Karang Anyar, Kebun Kelapa, Secanggang, Selotong, Pantai Gading, and Teluk Village. S2 w, f and n (enough according to the limiting factors of water availability, nutrient retention and nutrient availability) exist in Sei Ular and Hinai Kiri villages. The with improvement efforts to the limiting factor of nutrient retention by adding organic matter, the limiting factor of low nutrient availability is by fertilizing. After an effort has been made to evaluate the suitability of coconut land to S2 w with the limiting factor of water availability, namely rainfall, which is the main limiting factor in assessing land suitability because land improvements cannot be made.

Abstract

Evaluation of land suitability is very important to get agricultural crop commodities that can produce optimally. This study aims to evaluate and determine the actual and potential suitability classes as well as the efforts that can be made to improve the rice plant (Oryza sativa L.). The research was carried out from April to June 2021 at the location of 3⁰18'33.20” North Latitude and 99⁰23'2.26 East Longitude. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the suitability of the land and the improvement efforts that need to be made for the development of lowland rice plants. The analysis method uses matching data (matching field data). Determination of research location based on land map units (SPL) 1, SPL 2, SPL 3, SPL 4 and SPL 5, soil sampling was carried out at a depth of 0 to 30 cm, soil samples were analyzed in the laboratory. The results of the study found that the suitability class for lowland rice (Oryza sativa L.) was included in the appropriate class (S2) with the limiting factor for nutrient retention (nr), efforts were made to improve it by giving agricultural lime and fertilizing N, P and K so that the suitability class land can be upgraded to a potential land class (S1).

Abstract

This study aims to look at the characteristics of the land suitability level of sorghum plants in the village of Kepala Sungai and Karang Anyar, Secanggang sub-district. This study also analyzes improvement efforts that need to be made in increasing the productivity of sorghum crops and constructs a framework for actual land suitability and potential land suitability for coconut plantations in Secanggang District. As well as providing technological input for the development of sorghum plants. This research was conducted using the survey method which consisted of four stages of activity, namely preparation, main survey, soil analysis and data processing. It can be seen from the results of this study that the potential land suitability is in Kepala Sungai Village and Karang Anyar N-w (not suitable for developing sorghum plants with water availability). The limiting factor for water availability, namely rainfall, is the main limiting factor in assessing land suitability because land improvement efforts cannot be carried out.INTISARIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat karakteristik tingkat kesesuaian lahan tanaman sorgum di desa Kepala Sungai dan Karang Anyar  kecamatan secanggang. Serta memberi masukan teknologi untuk pengembangan tanaman sorgum. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metoda survei yang terdiri dari empat tahap kegiatan yaitu persiapan, survei utama, analisis tanah serta pengolahan data. Terlihat dari Hasil Penelitian ini bahwa kesesuaian lahan potensial pada Desa Kepala Sungai dan Karang Anyar N- w (tidak sesuai untuk pengembanagan tanaman sorgum dengan ketersediaan air). Faktor pembatas ketersediaan air yaitu curah hujan yang merupakan faktor pembatas utama dalam menilai kesesuaian lahan karena tidak dapat dilakukan usaha perbaikan pada lahan.
