Abstract

Social criticism is a means of communication in conveying an idea to create a social change. The research with the title Social Criticism in the Text "Life is Jerk and I'm Forced to Enjoy It" is motivated by the researcher's curiosity about social criticism contained in the text. The purpose of this research is to understand the meaning of signifier and signified, connotation, denotation and myth of social criticism contained in the text. This research uses the semiotic analysis method of Roland Barthes. And using the theory of social criticism which is divided into several aspects, namely: politics, economics, law, culture and defense and security. The results of data analysis from this study are, forms of criticism of various social problems and our attitude in responding to social problems that occur. The myth in the text "Life is a jerk and I am forced to enjoy it" is that apathy towards social problems that occur will only perpetuate these problems.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of exposure to the TikTok account @vmuliana on knowledge about the career world for followers. The theory used is the theory of S.O.R (Stimulus, Organism, Response). This theory is related to the message that is conveyed and the response that is raised. The type of research used is quantitative research with descriptive analysis method. By using a questionnaire in data collection. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The population for this study are followers of the TikTok account @vmuliana and the sample taken is 100 respondents. Based on the research that has been done, the researchers conclude that there is a significant influence between TikTok @vmuliana content on career knowledge for followers. Associated with the influence of knowledge about the career world with a trend of influence of 73.1% and has a strong correlation of 0.855 and the coefficient of determination of 0.731.

Abstract

Facebook social media has become an important part of people's lives, including for mothers in Indonesia. During this pandemic, a lot of misinformation about Covid-19 is growing through social media Facebook. Facebook is the place where the most hoax news cases are found, especially regarding Covid-19. As the number of misinformation increases, it becomes increasingly problematic to distinguish fake news from accurate news. The quality of information and the lack of knowledge about the Covid-19 virus received is one of the main factors for housewives to determine their attitude to respond to hoax news. Therefore, it is necessary to examine how housewives respond to hoax news about Covid-19 on social media Facebook. Researchers used data collected from all interview documentation that had been conducted on housewives in Dukuh Pakis District who were actively using Facebook social media during the Covid-19 pandemic. The findings in this study are the existence of cognitive, conative, and affective behavior in housewives in Dukuh Pakis Subdistrict resulting from the effect of mass communication on Facebook social media on hoax news related to Covid-19. Therefore, it can be concluded that social media is able to have an effect in responding to hoax news on Facebook social media.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksana melakukan kegiatan KKL ini adalah sebagai motivator, fasilitator, inovator, dan koordinator bagi masyarakat sasaran, yaitu para murid dan sekolah SDN Gebang 2. Dalam proses riset, pelaksana menggunakan dua metode, yaitu metode observasi dan metode wawancara. Pelaksana melakukan wawancara dengan beberapa orang yang berpengaruh dalam riset ini, yaitu Guru SDN Gebang 2 yang bernama Pak Ihwal, dan tujuh orang perwakilan murid di SDN Gebang 2, yaitu. Putri, Dwi, Tina, Mawar, Bima, Ari, dan Rizki. Serta Ketua RT Dusun Pucukan yaitu Pak Zamroni. Selanjutnya, pelaksana melakukan survei ke SDN Gebang 2 untuk mencari apa permasalahan yang dapat pelaksana selesaikan. Hasilnya, permasalahan tersebut ada pada ranah pendidikan, lebih tepatnya pendidikan nonakademis, kemudian lingkungan sekolah yang kurang diperhatikan kebersihannya, dan juga perpustakaan sekolah yang kurang tertata. Maka peneliti akan memberikan program berupa ekstrakurikuler untuk mengembangkan potensi nonakademis siswa, mengadakan bersih kelas untuk meningkatkan kebersihan sekolah, dan penataan perpustakaan.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs are currently in great demand by the public, one of which is the culinary sector. Such as MSMEs in Kampung Kue Rungkut Surabaya, where almost the entire population is MSME business actors. This community has been established since 2001 by Choirul Mahpuduah. Having 60 trading units is able to attract more than 100 customers per day. But unfortunately, this MSME business still has shortcomings, namely promotions in online sales to product photos that are less attractive. So our team, solved the problems that exist in Kampung Kue Rungkut, in the form of socializing content writing about product marketing to be promoted in online sales, practice photos and videos of products using simple supporting elements in order to attract more customers. Therefore, this research is intended to increase the promotion of culinary products in the Rungkut village cake, Surabaya. The type of research based on the form and method of implementation in this research is a field survey with data collection techniques, including observations and interviews with several entrepreneurs and community founders there. The results of this research are socialization and increase the experience of photo and video practice to the residents of the UMKM business in the kue rungkut village.

Abstract

In the era of digitalization that currently affects the development of information technology that continues to grow, the development of digital-based technology is getting faster and more sophisticated. Digitalization of business patterns and the sharia economy is still a big challenge and opportunity to be implemented in Indonesia. The sharia economy and business pattern with all its infrastructure and instruments must be able to take this enormous opportunity. This golden opportunity must be utilized as well as possible by sharia economic activists. So it is necessary to implement a Digital Entrepreneurship Academy (DEA) Sharia Digital Entrepreneurship training program with target communities in East Java and West Nusa Tenggara. The training program is carried out with a curriculum structure that is relevant to the target community with an offline training method for 2 days with 13 Hours of Meeting. The implementation of the Digital Entrepreneurship Academy (DEA) Shariah Digital Entrepreneurship Training for small and medium businesses that has been carried out with a meeting curriculum arrangement is able to provide insight into the target community to start the sharia pattern and form a sharia entrepreneurial ecosystem so that the economic system is stronger. It was explained that 954 participants considered that the material was relevant to the problems faced by the participants and that the benefits of the training could be judged to have a decent level of sustainability to continue to be implemented.

Abstract

This research involves a qualitative descriptive method in which the researcher describes different situations, conditions, and variables. To collect relevant data, the research utilizes secondary data techniques and photo searches on social media. Flexing, which has become a new and popular culture among the public, has become a widely discussed issue across various social groups. Flexing content on social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook is often posted with the intention of gaining recognition, honor, and social status, although the wealth displayed may not always come from personal asset ownership.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada strategi komunikasi duta wisata Cak dan Ning dalam mempromosikan pariwisata karena pada tahun 2020 berdasarkan data jumlah kunjungan wisatawan di Surabaya menunjukkan terjadinya penurunan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Strategi Komunikasi Duta Wisata Cak Dan Ning Surabaya Sebagai Ikon Promosi Daerah Dalam Mempromosikan Pariwisata di Masa Pandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah pihak Cak dan Ning Surabaya serta pihak Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata sebagai pihak yang terlibat dengan Cak dan Ning dalam mempromosikan pariwisata. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan unit analisis berupa narasi kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori komunikasi, strategi komunikasi, strategi promosi kota dan peran cak dan ning sebagai ikon promosi daerah. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa. (1) Cak dan Ning Surabaya Mensosialisasikan Protokol Kesehatan Pada Pelaku UMKM dan Pariwisata di masa pandemi, (2) Cak dan Ning Surabaya sebagai guide tur online dapat membantu wisatawan memberikan informasi seperti lokasi wisata, kuliner dan budaya. (3) Cak dan Ning Surabaya sebagai media pengenalan pariwisata mempromosikan pariwisata melalui media sosial dan kegiatan pameran.
