Abstract

Jihad and terrorism are two words that cannot be separated between the two. Phenomena associated with acts of terrorism are often misinterpreted by calling them acts of jihad, even jihad is often used as a justification in carrying out various movements that lead to religious radicalism. This study aims to uncover and reconstruct the meaning of jihad which has been misinterpreted by some elements in understanding it. Those who consider acts of terrorism as a form of jihad, especially jihad in religion, are based on lack of accuracy in understanding the contents contained in the verses of al-Qur'an, Hadith or al-Kitab, so the ideology that is born will also be different. This inaccurate ideology should be able to be changed and rectified by reviewing the verses of the Qur'an, the Hadith, and the Scriptures relating to jihad. The lack of insight held by the general public in understanding the meaning of jihad is one of the triggers for being easily influenced by actions that lead to terrorism. The role of religion and the state seems to be demanded extra in tackling various problems related to suicide bombings which are considered as a form of jihad by some elements. It is necessary to place heavy emphasis and legal action on those who misuse the meaning of jihad as an act of terrorism in the interests of certain groups. Abstract

Kurang bervariasinya bahan ajar yang digunakan akan menjadikan proses pembelajaran tidak maksimal dan rendahnya pengetahuan siswa mengenai materi IPS yang berkaitan dengan sejarah lokal. Maka perlu adanya suatu pembahasan mengenai sejarah lokal di daerah mereka dengan disertai visualisasi lebih pada bahan ajar yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk gambaran pembelajaran IPS kelas VII SMP Muallimin Wonodadi Blitar, analisis kebutuhan terhadap pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis ensiklopedia, langkah-langkah pengembangan serta kevalidan bahan ajar berbasis ensiklopedia sejarah lokal peninggalan sejarah dan candi di Blitar. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu pembelajaran IPS di SMP Muallimin Wonodadi Blitar pada kelas VII, guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah dan media pembelajaran berupa bahan ajar sebagai sumber belajar dalam bentuk buku pegangan guru dan buku paket siswa. Angket kebutuhan menyatakan bahwa guru maupun siswa menyatakan membutuhkan dan setuju menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis ensiklopedia sejarah lokal peninggalan sejarah dan candi di Blitar. Langkah-langkah pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis ensiklopedia sejarah lokal peninggalan sejarah dan candi di Blitar menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan Borg and Gall yang diadaptasi oleh Sugiyono terdiri dari 8 tahapan yakni potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi produk, revisi produk, uji coba produk, revisi produk, dan uji coba pemakaian. Tingkat kevalidan berbasis ensiklopedia sejarah lokal peninggalan sejarah dan candi di Blitar yakni : ahli media 82,4%, ahli materi 91,2%, dari pengguna hasil respon guru IPS 92%, hasil respon siswa kelompok kecil 86,5% dan kelompok besar 88,3%, bahan ajar dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan.
