Abstract

In recent years, the world has witnessed a growing concern over the issue of safety culture within aviation and other complex, high-risk industries. The purpose of this study is to find out the roles of safety culture from safety behavior with the system of safety to reach zero accident. The method used in this study is case research or field study, with descriptive explanation, quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data had been gathered from the calculation of safety percentage level (Cooper) while qualitative data was taken from observation and field interviews. The highest percentage for safety at GSE is 95% and the lowest is 52.5%. The whole result shows that safety above 50% means that there’s still awareness of safety behavior by using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and this still needs to be maximized more. Organization safety system is already executed and well documented even though deviations are still found in the operation execution. It is hoped that this study will enable researchers and safety professionals to have a better understanding and assess safety culture which will facilitate the sharing of information and strategies for improving safety culture across organizations and industries.

Abstract

Very limited capacity of the highway in some economies tract, such as the Trans Java traffic, has an impact on increasing the travel time especially in the use of rail transport, so that a certain pathway requires capacity building and the development of new lines gradually. The purpose of this research was to determine the capacity of rail transport infrastructure that is optimal for the distribution of goods, especially as the company managed by PT. Railway Logistics or KALOG. Another problem is how the government's role and the flow of freight transport demand. In the discussion, through a variety of existing data, the authors use research with phenomenological approach on the basis of qualitative analysis methods interpretative paradigm. Results are expected to be useful for improving knowledge about the needs of rail freight transport on goods distribution on the Java Island. The results of this research will be published in scientific journals.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to find out the use (utilization) of motorized equipment support at PT Gapura Angkasa branch office Soekarno Hatta Airport in 2015 equal to 214 appliances with request 244 appliances and (2) to find out the highest usage tools in 2015. Data presentation was using available equipment ground support data, equipment on demand, and tools that can not be used (idle). The explanation is supported by previous journals and thesis of ground support equipment as well as literature review of several theories related to it. The research results show that the use of GSE motorized ambulift equipment is 100% indicating that ambulift is used continuously and in reasonable condition to wear. The toolsused are the Ground Power Unit with 94% usage and followed by other devices with the same amount from 70% to 88% which means that the use of motorized ground support equipmentis is quite high.
