Abstract

This research started from problems in the learning of underachieving students who tend to be lazy to learn and lazy when learning. This encourages research with the aim of improving critical thinking skills. Furthermore, a research design for an inquiry-based learning strategy was developed with a 5E learning cycle to improve critical thinking skills. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest - posttest control group design. The results of the hypothesis test analysis obtained that the experimental group's critical thinking ability was better than the control group after learning. Thus, inquiry-based learning with the 5E learning cycle is very significant in improving critical thinking skills compared to conventional learning.

Abstract

Reading difficulties are obstacles in reading which are indicated by the gap between their abilities and learning achievements. Difficulties in learning to read are often found in elementary school age children, as happened in the second grade of SD Negeri 1 Patukrejo. The purpose of this study was to find out what factors hindered students from learning to read in grade 2 SDN 1 Patukrejo and to find out how the teacher's efforts to overcome reading difficulties in grade 2 SDN 1 Patukrejo, Bonorowo District, Kebumen Regency. The research method used is qualitative research using descriptive methods. Data collection in this study was carried out using interview and documentation techniques. The subjects of this study were teachers and grade 2 students of SDN 1 Patukrejo. The results showed that (1) in grade 2 students of SDN 1 Patukrejo there were still some who still had difficulty reading, namely: (a) students had difficulty in distinguishing letters that were almost the same or similar in writing, students had difficulty reading word for word. , and (c) students have difficulty in omitting letters or words. (2) The main factors that cause students to have difficulty reading are: (a) lack of parental supervision (b) intellectual factors or intelligence and (c) friendship environment. (3) The teacher's efforts to overcome reading difficulties in grade 2 SDN 1 Patukrejo are: (a) using appropriate learning media, (b) providing additional tutoring, (c) providing homework, (d) providing learning motivation.

Abstract

Penanaman pendidikan karakter sejak usia dini merupakan bagian terpenting untuk membentuk karakter seorang siswa, guna mencegah melakukan tindakan kekerasan dan kerusuhan, untuk itu guru akan menerapkan upaya menanamkan karakter cinta damai sejak usia dini. Dengan cara tersebut diharapkan karakter yang baik akan selalu melekat pada diri siswa. Cinta damai adalah sikap, perkataan, dan perbuatan yang menyebabkan orang lain merasa senang, aman dan nyaman atas kehadiran dirinya. Karakter cinta damai sangat perlu untuk ditanamkan dan ditumbuhkan dalam diri siswa sejak usia dini. Apabila anak usia dini sudah ditanamkan pentingnya mencintai perdamaian atau cinta damai, maka kelak anak-anak akan takut atau terhindar dari perbuatan anarkis/berbuat keburukan dimasa remajanya sampai dengan masa dewasanya. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa penanaman pendidikan karakter cinta damai pada Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Terong Dlingo dilakukan dengan cara; (1) Guru berupaya menunjukkan sikap yang baik agar menjadi teladan bagi siswa (2) Guru menerapkan perilaku anti kekerasan (3) Menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang cinta damai. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penanaman karakter cinta damai di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Terong telah dilaksanakan dengan baik.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of sixth graders at SD Negeri Margoagung on maple mathematics by using the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) learning model. The method used in this research is the description method. Furthermore, the data collection techniques used are interview and observation techniques. This research uses two cycles, each cycle consists of two meetings. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the skills of teachers in learning mathematics through the CTL learning model increase. (2) student activity in learning mathematics through the CTL learning model increases. (3) student learning outcomes in cycle I and cycle II have increased. The conclusion of this research is the application of the CTL learning model can improve the quality of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding and digging up information about online learning during the pandemic, because many students do not have mobile phones. in this study with the interview method and also with documentation. Interviews were conducted to gain insight into online learning for elementary school students. Documentation is done to find out how the actual conditions of online learning are, because there are no facilities from the school. The results of this study indicate that students have difficulty participating in online learning because of the absence of technological facilities in schools.
