Abstract

The business unit's development is determined by its ability to design a marketing strategy. This study was intended to determine the criteria and sub-criteria for marketing resources using the ANP model and formulate an alternative marketing strategy using the TOPSIS method in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for the ground coffee product in East Manggarai Regency. The sampling method used in this research is proposive sampling. Data collected using a questionnaire from 36 respondents. Research method study used analytical network process (ANP) and techinique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS) for the method. The ANP was used to analyze the priority of the sub-criteria of marketing resources, while the TOPSIS was used to determine the highest preference value on alternative marketing strategies. This study revealed that the sub-criteria with the highest weight for formulating alternative marketing strategies was the sub-criteria for the process of developing effective new products and services with a weight of 0.118. The highest preference value for alternative marketing strategies is the differentiation strategy with a value of 1.00. Hence, it can be concluded that an appropriate strategy for marketing development and competition of ground coffee products in SMEs of East Manggarai Regency is a differentiation strategy supported by the selected sub-criteria of the process of developing effective new products and services.

Abstract

SME Sido Luhur is a producer that processes raw coffee beans who have problems ordering coffee beans every month which is considered to result in higher inventory costs. The sample in this study were SME Sido Luhur owner who were determined based on judgment sampling. The research was conducted at SME Sido Luhur starting September 2022. This research used primary data obtained through interviews and secondary data obtained from the cost and quantity of raw materials in 2018. Data for 2018 can represent 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and so on, because starting in 2017 SME Sido Luhur have entmered the maturity phase so the 2018 data can represent the following year based on the relatively stable use of raw materials and having entered the business maturity phase. The analysis method uses EOQ to find the optimum inventory quantity with the lowest possible cost and the right reorder time. A comparison of robusta coffee bean inventory control methods shows that the Economic Order Quantity method is more effective in controlling raw material inventory in SME Sido Luhur as evidenced by the cost of raw material inventory being economical and efficient. After using the EOQ method, orders are made every 2 months to save costs for ordering raw materials compared to before using the EOQ method, which is done every month.

The hypothesis in this research was tested using the analysis method of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by using Partial Least Square (PLS). The study was able to prove the existence of a significant effect of Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain integration on the performance of MSMEs agroindustry. MSMEs should continue to improve and implement Supply Chain Management practices because these factors are proven to affect operational performance.

Abstract

This is pilot study designed to ascertain college students' understanding of domestic food waste management using an online questioner. The descriptive results section of the report is used to describe the central tendency of the data collected for each variable. Meanwhile, the people who took part in the research were all part of a webinar on waste management that was led by people from universities and environmental groups. The findings indicated that students' knowledge of domestic food waste management remained diverse. Some of them continue to view waste management as a time-consuming and demanding activity.  Community understanding about waste management, especially food, should be given early and started at home. As a result, environmentally friendly activities must be regularly promoted and implemented at the school, university, government, and community levels in order to improve people's quality of life.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Unit Padang, which is an animal feed processing company the biggest and leading in the country. The study aims to describe and analyze the effect of work motivation and competence on employee performance at PT JCI Padang. The approach to this research uses probability sampling with simple random sampling technique. The sample used in this study was staff at the junior management level which numbered 47 people. This research method uses SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square) to see how much influence exogenous variables have on endogenous variables using WarpPLS 6.0 software. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Work motivation has a positive and highly significant effect on employee performance of 0.556, (2) Competence has a positive and highly significant effect on employee performance of 0.333. The lowest indicator value on work motivation and competence is the need for existence and attitude. Therefore the company is expected to review the salary issues received by employees and the company should provide training about problem solving solutions.
