Abstract

This article aims to explain the role of Hans-Georg Gadamer hermeneutics in the perspective of the Betawi language in Depok City. In the Betawi language in the city of Depok, there are things related to art, history, and language to answer from a philosophical perspective. The method used is the method of literature study or literature study. The collection is obtained from Hans-Georg Gadamer's famous book Truth and Method and the authors who preceded it who studied his thoughts. The data were analyzed and used as a source of thought for the Betawi language perspective in Depok City. The results determined that Hans George Gadamer made an important contribution to the Betawi language in Depok City. In addition, Hans-Georg Gadamer's hermeneutics provides a definition that essentially hermeneutics can be in three aspects, namely: art, history, and language.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan menjelaskan kognisi sosial dalam lirik mars Kota Depok yang berjudul Depok Sejahtera berisi kognisi sosial yang terkandung di dalamnya. Analisis wacana kritis adalah jenis penelitian analitik wacana yang mempelajari bagaimana cara penyalahgunaan, dominasi, dan ketidaksetaraan kekuatan sosial yang diberlakukan, direproduksi, dan ditentang oleh teks dan pembicaraan dalam konteks sosial dan politik. Analisis wacana kritis mengambil posisi secara eksplisit serta ingin memahami, mengekspos, dan juga melawan ketidaksetaraan sosial.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui analisis wacana kritis model Van Dijk. Teknik pengumpilan data melakukan observasi teks atau document research yaitu teks berupa data primer sebagai sasaran utama dalam menganalisis sedangkan data sekunder diperlukan untuk mempertajam analisis data primer sekaligus data tersebut dijadikan sebagai bahan pelengkap atau perbandingan. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kulaittatif yang dilakukan secara alamiah, sehingga mendapatkan hasil yang berupa deskripsi secara alamiah. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dari analisis wacana kritis model Teun Van Dijk dari mars Kota Depok dengan judul Depok Sejahtera. Hasil penelitian dari analisis lirik mars Kota Depok menunjukkkan bahwa ada terdapat kognisi sosial yang disampaikan melalui lirk mars tersebut. Lirik mars Depok Sejahtera memiliki pesan yang disampaikan untuk masyarakat Kota Depok. Pesan yang disampaikan sangat menyentuh ranah kehidupan masyarakat di Kota Depok.Kata Kunci: wacana kritis, Van Dijk, kognisi sosial,

Abstract

Within the development of the era, the meaning of the words also developed and changed. One of the word-meaning conversions in society is the conversion of the term of address, particularly in kinship relationships. A case study in Gedang Kulut Village revealed that the word of speech Cak (Old Brother) and Mbak (Old Sister) is not only used to call the old brother and sister but also refers to the Man (Uncle) and Bebek (Aunt). The other conversion uses Pak De (Uncle) and Mak De (Aunt) to substitute the term of address for grandmother and grandfather. The paper aims to analyse the representation of speech in the Javanese language used in Gedang Kulut Village, Gresik District. The methodology uses a descriptive qualitative method that also emphasises the semantics approach. The result shows a unique word-meaning conversion in the Javanese term of address used in Gedang Kulut Village. Moreover, the mutation appearing in the word of speech causes the social marks to change either up or down.
