Abstract

Natrium siklamat (C6H12NNaO3S) merupakan salah satu jenis pemanis buatan yang memiliki tingkat kemanisannya kurang lebih 30 kali dari pada sukrosa dengan jumlah kemanisan yaitu 3,94 kkal/g. Anak-anak paling rentan terhadap dampak negatif pemanis buatan, untuk anak-anak berpotensi merangsang keterbelakangan mental karena otak masih dalam tahap perkembangan dan terakumulasi pada jaringan syaraf. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan siklamat pada minuman es teh yang dijual oleh pedagang keliling di empat Sekolah Dasar Kelurahan Melayu, Kecamatan Tenggarong. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pemeriksaan laboratorium menggunakan uji kualitatif dengan metode pengendapan padalima penjual minuman es teh keliling di Sekolah Dasar Kelurahan Melayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari total lima sampel uji terdapat 2 sampel es teh positif mengandung siklamat. Berdasarkan data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua sampel es teh yang positif mengandung siklamat diketahui karena penggunaan serbuk minuman instan yang mengandung Natrium Siklamat pada saat observasi dilakukan.---Sodium cyclamate (C6H12NNaO3S) is one type of artificial sweetener which has a sweetness level of approximately 30 times that of sucrose with a total sweetness of 3.94 kcal/g. Children are most vulnerable to the negative effects of artificial sweeteners, for children it has the potential to stimulate mental retardation because the brain is still in a developmental stage and accumulates in neural networks. This study aims to determine the content of cyclamate in iced tea drinks sold by traveling vendors in four elementary schools in the Melayu Village, Tenggarong District. This research is a descriptive type of research with laboratory examination using a qualitative test with precipitation method on five mobile iced tea drink sellers in the Elementary School of Melayu Village. The results showed that from a total of five test samples, there were 2 samples of iced tea that were positive for cyclamate. Based on the data, it can be concluded that the two samples of iced tea that were positive for containing cyclamate were known to be due to the use of instant drink powder containing sodium cyclamate at the time of observation.

Abstract

Water is a chemical compound that is very important for the life of living things on this earth. The function of water for life cannot be replaced by other compounds. The main use of water and very vital for life is as drinking water. This is to meet the needs of water in the body. The refill drinking water depot is an example of processing water into drinking water and selling it directly to buyers. The existence of refill drinking water depots continues to increase in line with the dynamics of the community's need for quality and safe drinking water for consumption. Even though it is cheaper, not all this depots are guaranteed the safety of their products. This happens because of the weak supervision of the relevant agencies. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct socialization and inspections related to the Depot, especially in Tenggarong District within the working area of ??the Rapak Mahang Health Center. This activity was carried out with the aim of ensuring the quality of drinking water safety and increasing the knowledge of water depot refills owners regarding the hygiene sanitation of the refill drinking water depot in accordance with the established quality standards. This activity was carried out in several stages, ranging from interviews, the examinations, to the socialization stage. The process of this activity went quite well, as evidenced by the willingness of the owner during the socialization and inspection.
