Abstract

This study aims to analyze the readiness of the Malay culture in the community of Pulau Penawar Rindu in Belakang Padang, Batam City, in facing tourism development. As one of the potential tourist destinations in the Riau Archipelago, Pulau Penawar Rindu boasts a strong Malay cultural heritage, which serves as the primary attraction for visitors. However, tourism development often brings challenges to the preservation of local culture. This research employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and participatory observation to explore the community’s perceptions regarding their readiness to preserve Malay cultural values amidst the social changes caused by tourism. The results indicate that the local community is highly aware of the importance of cultural preservation, but stronger support from the government and tourism stakeholders is needed to manage sustainable tourism development. This study offers recommendations on local cultural preservation strategies that can be implemented to advance tourism without compromising the Malay cultural identity.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Ecotourism is the whole of  activities that is responsible for maintaining the conservation and environmental aspect. These activity also involves the local communities to get some benefit. The research is to determine some potential objects and attraction in Natuna that can be develop for supporting ecotourism development program. This is also to elaborate the social community aspect and their  readiness to accept the tourist. Data obtain from the direct observation, interview, survey, and literature also secondary  data from the regency source. The data analyzed by using descriptive analysis technique. The result show that Natuna have some potential ecotourism attractions from the nature, culture and also social. Natuna need to develop and to supervise the local resources such as the hotel and tourism workers, the community and to support some potential resources like culinary traditional food and handicraft to support ecotourism development. To reach the goal, stakeholder must play the role and support to the local community

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor apa saja yang berpengaruh terhadap volume penjualan Kangen Dimsum Batam karena telah terjadi fluktuasi penjualan dari April 2022 hingga September 2022. Selain itu, Kangen Dimsum tidak sering dipromosikan di media sosial dan tidak populer seperti produk serupa. Karena itu, untuk meningkatkan popularitas merek, Kangen Dimsum Batam harus melakukan promosi yang lebih aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh promosi dan popularitas merek terhadap volume penjualan Kangen Dimsum Batam. Konsumen Kangen Dimsum Batam dalam penelitian ini berusia antara lima belas dan lima puluh tahun. Penelitian ini adalah jenis kuantitatif, dan pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan probabilitas dan pengambilan sampel acak sederhana, dengan total 160 responden. Kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda, yang dilakukan menggunakan program SPSS 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pertama-tama, promosi memengaruhi volume penjualan, dengan hasil thitung 5.604 lebih besar dari ttabel 1.975 dan sig 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05; kedua, popularitas merek memengaruhi volume penjualan, dengan hasil thitung 4.465 lebih besar dari ttabel 1.975 dan sig 0.000 lebih kecil dari 0,05; dan ketiga, secara keseluruhan, promosi dan popularitas merek memengaruhi volume penjualan Kangen Dimsum Batam dengan hasil Fhitung 71.401 lebih.
