Abstract

This study aims to determine the analysis of the drainage system against inundation (flooding) in Duyung Road, Batu Ampar Sub District, Batam. Duyung Road, Batu Ampar Sub District is one of the problematic location in Batam, where often times found the puddle of water on the road during high rainfall intensity. The Duyung Road is located in Batu Ampar District, Batam City. The location of the occurrence of puddles is right along Duyung Road starting from the U-turn Batu Ampar to front of the Pacific hotel. The distribution analysis used was the Gumbel distribution, the Gumbel distribution was chosen by conducting the Smirnov Kolmogorov test. The return period chosen is 5 year. Based on the results of the analysis, the calculation of the existing discharge is greater than the planned discharge where Qeksisting = 0.1023 m3 / sec, while the plan discharge is Qplan = 0.038 m3 / sec. The calculation of the dimensions of the existing channel fulfilled the plan dimensions. Where the value of beksisiting = 0.40 m > bplan = 0.33 m and heksisting = 0.45 m> hplan = 0.33 m. which means there is nothing wrong with the planning of the dimensions of the drainage channel in Duyung Road, Batu Ampar Sub District. The garbage in water drains clogged the waste disposalas well as the drainage and as a result it inhibits the flow of water in this area.

Abstract

Economic losses due to fraud financial statements have harmed the organization and the community. This is due to the limitations of risk management strategies available in efforts to prevent financial statements fraud by company managers and auditors, this strategy is able to prevent fraud proactively and help build future financial statements. This multi-case qualitative research aims to explore early detection and the authors use the conceptual framework of risk management in prevention of fraud over financial statements. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a gap in the concept of risk management in current practice to detect and prevent fraud, as well as the auditor's perspective in creating proactive anti -fraud models. In addition, with this finding the auditor can also develop early detection guidelines, and practitioners can develop anti-fraud risk management procedures.

Abstract

The population of Batam City is a multicultural society that has a diversity of ethnicities, cultures, and religions. Caring for diversity in Batam City must continue to be done to avoid conflicts such as discrimination and racism. Therefore, the people of Batam City must have good social interactions, where tolerance can be one of the social interactions that must be developed. Among these activities, namely by providing illustrations on strengthening tolerance attitudes and strategic implementation steps to foster tolerance for high school students at BASIC Christian Schools. The objects in this activity are BASIC High School students. Knowledge and understanding of the tolerance attitude of BASIC High School students are measured through the process of observation, interviews, documentation, and filling out questionnaires. Based on the analysis of the data that has been collected, it is concluded that most of the students of BASIC Christian High School already understand the importance of instilling tolerance in schools. This is supported by the policy of the BASIC High School which takes an active role in instilling an attitude of tolerance to its students in the form of providing character education to students about strengthening tolerance in social life for students who have low awareness of tolerance.
