Abstract

This study discussed how well communication worked during academic supervision at MAN 2 Tanah Datar. This research used a qualitative phenomenological method. The data were collected by using unstructured interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Then the informants were chosen by snowball sampling technique. The data analysis by Miles and Huberman model techniques was used in this study, which consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. Meanwhile, the researchers used data triangulation techniques to test the validity of the data. The results of the study showed that to create effective communication during academic supervision, supervisors must have communication skills such as: 1) respecting the supervised teachers; 2) having empathy, that means prioritizing to listen, understand and feel what the teacher feels; 3) being audible, that means that the teacher can properly accept the supervisor’s instruction; 4) giving clear instruction to the teachers; and 5) being friendly and wise in supervising the teacher.

Abstract

The implementation of educational supervision to enhance the teacher professionalism at MAS Thawalib Tanjung Limau, Tanah Datar Regency becomes  the main focus of this study. This study is a part of descriptive qualitative research. The head of the MAS, however, is the main source of research data. Observations and interviews are used as data collection techniques. The supervision provided by the head of MAS Thawalib Tanjung Limau plays a significant role as the effort to increase the quality of teachers. For increasing resource capacity and revamping materials to meet national education goals, strategies such as instructional supervision are helpful. The preparation stage, class observation, and assessment or feedback discussion are the three stages that make up this clinical supervision. Limited infrastructure and resources, lack of teacher discipline, and lack of teacher knowledge about efficient classroom management techniques are challenges experienced in the clinical supervision and teaching. This study shows that the principal's educational supervision places a vital position to support appropriate infrastructure and facilities of schools, maximize the teacher disciplinary action, and offer proper direction, and advice on efficient classroom management procedures.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is still low even though Indonesia is a country that has a lot of Human Resources (HR). however, these human resources are unable to compete internationally, one of which is due to low achievement. This research is a literature study on the quality of education in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the role of educational supervision in improving the quality of education. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The type of data used in this study is qualitative data, which is categorized into two types, namely primary data and secondary data. Data sources are obtained through library study techniques that refer to sources available both online and offline such as: scientific journals, books and news sourced from reliable sources. The results of the study concluded that Supervision is designed to develop and improve the professionalism of teachers so that the teacher can develop in his work. The goal is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the teaching and learning process. Supervision is an assistance to teachers in improving teaching and learning situations. The results of the study show that educational supervision has a function in the form of a coordinator, consultant, evaluator. The steps in supervising are divided into 3 steps, namely: planning, implementing, evaluating.

Abstract

Abstract : Teachers are one of the most important factors in an educational organization in order to achieve the goals of an educational organization. Such satisfactory performance will not just happen in an organization. Evaluation of a teacher's performance needs to be done in order to see the progress of a teacher's performance, this evaluation is not necessarily carried out only within a certain period of time, but must be carried out continuously every month. In this study, the purpose of this study was to determine the extent of performance appraisal through educational supervision carried out by school principals to improve teacher performance. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, the subject is the principal, the teacher assembly, and other teacher activities. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that the assessment carried out by the principal on the teacher's performance starts from the planning carried out by the principal by determining the teacher supervision schedule, organizing the implementation carried out by the principal during the teaching and learning process. The implementation of teacher performance assessment activities is carried out every month through classroom supervision activities, supervision is carried out by the principal directly when the activity takes place, the inhibiting factor found is that there are still many teachers who are still lacking in operating IT in learning while the supporting factor is that schools have adequate facilities and infrastructure. adequate.

Abstract

Masih banyaknya peserta didik yang belum menyadari tujuan hidupnya meskipun sudah berada di tingkat pendidikan menengah, hal ini sangat memprihatinkan, oleh karena itu penulis ingin memaparkan bagaimana seharusnya pengelolaan peserta didik tersebut. Peserta didik secara formal adalah orang-orang yang berada dalam fase pertumbuhan dan perkembangan baik secara fisik maupun mental fisik dan psikis, pertumbuhan dan perkembangan merupakan ciri khas seseorang siswa yang membutuhkan bimbingan dari seorang pendidik. Oleh karena itu perlu manajemen yang baik agar peserta didik memiliki kemampuan yang mumpuni ketika mereka meninggalkan lembaga pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu dengan mengutip karya ilmiah dari berbagai sumber data baik artikel, jurnal maupun buku yang berhubungan dengan judul artikel penulis. Manajemen peserta didik dimulai dari perencanaan, pengelolaan dalam pembelajaran, kenaikan, kelulusan sampai penelusuran alumni.

Abstract

This study describes the principal's strategy, the obstacles that occur, and the efforts made by the principal in improving teacher performance at SDN 5 Pulasan, Sijunjung Regency. Data collection was carried out using interview and observation techniques. Data analysis was carried out by analyzing the results of the research based on data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: The principal's strategy in an effort to improve teacher performance at SDN 5 Pulasan, Sijunjung Regency. The obstacles that occur are that some teachers do not have the ability to utilize learning technology, lack of facilities and infrastructure and teacher discipline is still low. Efforts made by the school principal in improving teacher performance at SDN 5 Pulasan, Sijunjung Regency, namely fostering teachers intensely and continuously in teacher performance development activities, besides that, the principal motivates and makes stricter disciplinary regulations at school.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is an educational innovation introduced to address educational problems in Indonesia, one of which is the decline in cultural values and local wisdom eroded by outside cultural influences. The P5 programme or the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project has chosen local wisdom as one of its focuses, with the aim of re-exploring cultural values and local wisdom that may have been forgotten. This research was conducted to describe the process of increasing local wisdom values through the implementation of the P5 Silek Tuo Pagaruyung programme. This research method is qualitative field research with an analytical descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analysed using the Miles and Hubberman technique, which involves data reduction, data verification, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the P5 programme involved several stages, including planning, implementation, project assessment, and reporting and evaluation. The success of this programme is reflected in the implementation of values by students, such as spiritual values, movement arts, martial arts, and sports.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze academic supervision which consists of (1) planning the principal's academic supervision on the pedagogic competence of teachers (2) the implementation of the principal's academic supervision on the teacher's pedagogic competence (3) evaluating the results of the principal's academic supervision on pedagogic competence. teachers (4) follow-up of the principal's academic supervision on the teacher's pedagogic competence. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through interviews, and documentation. Sources of data, namely primary data and secondary data obtained from three objects, namely the head of SMPIT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar and teachers, places held at SMPIT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar, and papers containing documents about the results of academic supervision. The results showed, (1) planning for academic supervision of teacher pedagogical competence has been carried out well (2) Implementation of academic supervision on teacher pedagogic competence, namely (a) individual supervision techniques (b) group supervision techniques. (3) Evaluation of the results of academic supervision in the form of measuring and assessing the realization of the planned program and its impact. (4) Following up on academic supervision to improve the pedagogic competence of classroom teachers in the form of giving awards and training to teacher competencies.

Abstract

By applying the Madrasah Vocational Education Program, it is expected that student’s creativity will be encouraged in their work, so that after graduating from the Madrasa, their own needs can be met and they become individuals who are independent and not dependent on their parents. The vocational program implemented at MAN 2 Sijunjung relates to the work areas in the community, namely vehicle engineering and clothing design, which are imparted through skills classes. The aim of this study is to determine to what extent the application of professional madrasah learning has developed at MAN 2 Sijunjung. The method used in this research is field research with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques in this study used documentation and interview techniques. Data analysis techniques were gained from data reduction, presentation and inference to answer the problem formulation and answer the main questions as well as answer the description of the data obtained from the researcher. The conclusion of this study is in the form of a description or description of the implementation of the Madrasah Vocational Learning Program at MAN 2 Sijunjung.
