Abstract

Guru merupakan salah satu faktor terpenting pada organisasi pendidikan dalam rangka mencapai tujuan suatu organisasi kependidikan. Kinerja yang memuaskan tersebut tidak akan terjadi begitu saja dalam suatu organisasi. Evaluasi kinerja seorang guru perlu dilakukan untuk melihat perkembangan kinerja seorang guru, evaluasi tidak serta merta dilakukan hanya dalam waktu tertentu saja, tetapi harus dilakukan terus menerus setiap bulan. Dalam penelitian ini, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penilaian kinerja melalui supervisi dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan mutu dan sumber daya manusia seorang guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, subjeknya adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan kegiatan guru lainnya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian yang dilakukan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru dimulai dari perencanaan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dengan menentukan jadwal supervisi guru, pengorganisasian pelaksanaan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah selama proses belajar mengajar. Pelaksanaan kegiatan penilaian kinerja guru dilakukan setiap bulan melalui kegiatan kelas, supervisi dilakukan kepala sekolah secara langsung saat kegiatan berlangsung, faktor penghambat yang ditemukan masih banyak guru yang masih kurang dalam mengoperasikan IT dalam pembelajaran, faktor pendukung sekolah memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang memadai.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengevaluasi ketercapaian program pendidikan karakter pada SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Koto Baru, (2) penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi baik guru, sekolah, maupun pemerintah untuk perbaikan program pendidikan karakter. Jenis penelitian adalah evaluasi program (evaluasi formatif) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Pangkalan Koto Baru. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) kesiapan SMA Negeri 1 Pngkalan Koto Baru untuk mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter baik, dinilai dari kurikulum yang telah terintegrasi pendidikan karakter, namun masih kurang dalam hal pengelolaan sarana prasarana pendukung dan banyak guru memerlukan lebih banyak pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pendidikan karakter; (2) implementasi pendidikan karakter belum tampak pada kegiatan pembelajaran; (3) dukungan dari pemerintah dalam sosialisasi atau pelatihan dirasa masih kurang oleh sekolah; (4) monitoring dan evaluasi pendidikan karakter masih terbatas pada kurikulum dan dilakukan melalui pembinaan pengawas di setiap sekolah; dan (5) kendala yang umum dihadapi sekolah adalah penilaian sikap siswa yang belum terdokumentasi, kurangnya pemahaman guru untuk mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter, dan tidak adanya sinergi antara pendidikan di sekolah dengan pendidikan di rumah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan: 1) pengaruh signifikan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru, 2) pengaruh signifikan self monitoring terhadap kinerja guru, dan 3) pengaruh signifikan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dan self monitoring secara simultan terhadap kinerja guru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode ex post facto. Populasi adalah guru-guru pada semua SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Jumlah sampel adalah 208 orang. Instrumen adalah angket. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan angket dengan menggunakan aplikasi google form dan link-nya dibagikan melalui whatapps. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai t-hitung lebih besar dari pada t-tabel (4.149 > 1.984). 2) terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara self monitoring guru terhadap kinerja guru. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai t-hitung lebih besar dari pada t-tabel, (9.221 > 1.984). 3) terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dan self monitoring guru secara simultan terhadap kinerja guru. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai F-hitung lebih besar dari pada F-tabel, (254.573 > 3.00).

Abstract

Teacher social competence is one of the competency standards that must be improved nowadays in consideration to the rapid development of technology which erodes the social abilities of the community, including teachers. The principal as a school manager has a very important role in improving the teachers’ sosial competence. This study aims to know the principal’s strategy in improving teachers’ social competence at MTsN 6 Tanah Datar. The type of this research is a case study with a qualitative approach. The research location is at MTsN 6 Tanah Datar. The research informants were the principal and the teachers at MTsN 6 Tanah Datar. Data collection techniques used are through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis technique is by data condensation, data display, drawing conclusions and data verification. The result showed that the implementation of teachers’ social competence at MTsN 6 Tanah Datar was good by being able to reflect objective and non-discriminatory actions, interacting with courtesy, polite and empathy, adapting to the workplace environment and students, and being active in community activities and fellow teachers both orally and written. The principal’s strategy in improving teachers’ social competence at MTsN 6 Tanah Datar is interesting and has never been done before by principals in other schools, namely: holding a recitation program by inviting religious leaders, conducting teacher social attitude development by inviting sociologists, developing teacher mental attitudes and personality by inviting psychologists and involving teachers in regional meetings, traditional events or other meetings invited by outsiders.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan ialah salah satu aspek yang memastikan pencapaian tujuan dari suatu lembaga maupun organisasi. Dalam hal lembaga pendidikan Islam, komponen yang jadi motor penggerak kepemimpinan tersebut ialah pimpinan pada Lembaga tersebut, kemampuan dan kesiapan seorang pemimpin untuk membujuk, menginspirasi, mengajak, mengarahkan, dan mendesak orang lain untuk menerima suatu pilihan dan kemudian mengambil tindakan yang dapat membantu pencapaian tujuan tertentu. Majunya suatu peradaban sangat erat kaitannya dengan kepemimpinan yang ideal, dan suatu negara harus menjadi pemimpin yang baik dengan moral dan karakter yang tinggi. Dari Alquran dan Hadits, umat Islam dipimpin oleh seorang pemimpin yang mencontohkan kebajikan Nabi Muhammad dan Khulafaur Rasyidun. Acuan tersebut juga didasarkan pada peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku di Indonesia sebagai negara dalam hal bernegara. Membuat keputusan sangat penting untuk melaksanakan tugas yang direncanakan dan mencapai tujuan strategis. Tujuan organisasi lembaga pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan mutu pembelajaran idealnya harus diwujudkan, dan ini terutama berlaku bagi pimpinan lembaga pendidikan.

Abstract

The aims of this study were (1) to find out the implementation of quality policy in schools, (2) to prevent inhibiting and supporting factors for the implementation of quality policy in schools, (3) solutions to deal with obstacles to implementing quality policy in SMPN 1 Bukittinggi. This type of research is field research using descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The research results show that. 1) analysis of the quality of education policy at SMPN 1 Bukittinggi seen from the very good input elements, one of which is the selection process for prospective students and teachers, in terms of the process there is continuous coaching for each teacher and employee in the form of training and coaching, in terms of output there is an assessment standard so that graduates have high academic and non-academic achievements. 2) The inhibiting factors for quality include: there are still teachers and education staff who do not understand the importance of quality/quality by educational institutions besides that, there are parties who are against school policies, giving rise to jealousy and differences of opinion. Supporting factors include: the availability of qualified educators and education personnel. Availability of facilities and infrastructure above the minimum standard. Availability of a conducive learning process environment, discipline and other supporting factors. 3) Solutions for overcoming obstacles to school quality policies are through dissemination of school policies, optimizing compliance with National Education Standards, strengthening commitment in achieving the goals of educational institutions. An important finding in this study is that SMPN 1 Bukittinggi can be said to be a quality school. This is because the three components of education quality have been fulfilled, namely: input, process and output as a whole.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze academic supervision which consists of (1) planning the principal's academic supervision on the pedagogic competence of teachers (2) the implementation of the principal's academic supervision on the teacher's pedagogic competence (3) evaluating the results of the principal's academic supervision on pedagogic competence. teachers (4) follow-up of the principal's academic supervision on the teacher's pedagogic competence. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through interviews, and documentation. Sources of data, namely primary data and secondary data obtained from three objects, namely the head of SMPIT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar and teachers, places held at SMPIT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar, and papers containing documents about the results of academic supervision. The results showed, (1) planning for academic supervision of teacher pedagogical competence has been carried out well (2) Implementation of academic supervision on teacher pedagogic competence, namely (a) individual supervision techniques (b) group supervision techniques. (3) Evaluation of the results of academic supervision in the form of measuring and assessing the realization of the planned program and its impact. (4) Following up on academic supervision to improve the pedagogic competence of classroom teachers in the form of giving awards and training to teacher competencies.

Abstract

This research was motivated because the motivation of educators in MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City is not very good because there are still educators who cannot be disciplined, educators who are often late absent, this is seen from the recap of absences every month. Educators who want to go home fast, educators who are slow to collect devices, educators' motivation to teach is lacking and this relates to the leadership of the principal himself. The limitations of the problems of this research are (a) Leadership of the principal in MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City, (b) Motivation of educators in MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City, (c) The relationship between the leadership of the principal and the motivation of educators in MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City. This research aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between the principal's leadership and the work motivation of educators in MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive and significant relationship between the principal's leadership and the work motivation of educators in MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City. In this study there are two variables, namely the independent variable (principal's leadership) and the dependent variable (educator's work motivation). This research is a field research using a quantitative approach. This research method uses the correlational method. The population in this study was 54 educators and the total sample of 54 educators was taken using the total sampling technique. The research instrument used 2 (two) questionnaires, namely questionnaires about the principal's leadership and educators' work motivation. Data was processed using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program version 20.00, and analyzed using the Karl Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient formula. The results showed that from the results of Pearson Correlation at rxy = 0.627 greater than r table for significant 1% = 0.354 and 5% = 0.273, thus Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected, meaning that there was a positive and significant relationship between the principal's leadership and the motivation of educators in MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City. And from the results of Pearson Correlation on r count = 0.627 can see the level of relationship in the classification of correlation numbers, 0.627 is located between 0.60 to 0.799 with a strong correlation level. Thus, it can be seen that the level of correlation between the principal's leadership and the work motivation of educators in MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City as much as r2 = 36% while 60% is determined by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal the strategy of the madrasa principal in seeking an educated academic environment at MTsN 10 Tanah Datar. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The research location is at MTsN 10 Tanah Datar. There were 6 research informants, namely school principals, curriculum representatives, public relations representatives, teachers, librarian heads, and students at MTsN 10 Tanah Datar. Data collection techniques used are through interviews, observation and documentation. The technique of data analysis is by means of triangulation, namely triangulation of sources and triangulation of techniques. The results of the study show that the Madrasah Principal's strategy in creating a Literacy Culture at MTsN 10 Tanah Datar is to strive for a literate academic environment with a). Planning literacy activities, namely creating literacy programs and forming a solid work team. B). Implementation of literacy activities, namely encouraging activities that smell of literacy, involving students to diligently read every day, enlivening the literacy corners of the madrasa, providing motivation to write to all madrasa residents to synergize, cooperate, and set an example. C). Evaluation of literacy activities, namely monitoring and follow-up.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation management of religious moderation values at the Thawalib Tanjung Limau Islamic boarding school and SMPN 1 Batusangkar. The widespread implementation and implementation of religious moderation as well as the internalization of the values of religious moderation in the world of education are the background for this research. The research was carried out using a qualitative approach with the type of field research. The data in this research were obtained from interviews and observations with school leaders or principals and teachers at the Thawalib Tanjung Limau Islamic boarding school and SMPN 1 Batusangkar. The research results show that these two educational institutions are quite good at managing the implementation of religious moderation values. This is proven by the stages carried out to implement the values of religious moderation in the two educational institutions. Implementing the values of religious moderation in management starts from planning, implementation, strategies used, as well as analyzing obstacles and offering solutions to solve them so that the program runs well. In fact, it appears that there are no cases of discrimination and intolerance due to religious differences. However, the results of this research also show that the name religious moderation is still something new, so there are still many teachers who do not understand the meaning of religious moderation.
