Abstract

The progress of the economy in Sintang Regency, one of which is very dependent on community empowerment in moving the wheels of the economy. Where people do not depend on the government for welfare. The government has carried out human resource empowerment programs. Human resource empowerment programs have been carried out by the government. This is in line with Indonesia's development goals, namely to build Indonesian people as a whole, so development must be a social change that does not only occur in the standard of living of the people but also in the role of the elements in it. This study aims to provide an overview of the right strategy as a form of local commodity-based community economic empowerment in Sintang Regency. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a research sample of three sub-districts using a purposive sampling technique The research results are divided into three, namely: the potential for economic development is found in agriculture and plantations; business opportunities from agricultural and plantation products can be processed into snacks that have a selling value and are in demand by the community; community economic empowerment strategy with Usaha Ekonomi Produktif (UEP) programs

Abstract

The background of the problem in this research is a culture that is part of the tradition of the Desa Dayak Tribe, namely Tenun Ikat which is owned by the community in Ensaid Panjang Village, Kelam Permai District, unfortunately not all the younger generation in Ensaid Panjang Village, Kelam Permai District are good at making Ikat weaving. this. Ikat weaving is one of the identities of the Dayak Desa community that reflects the preservation of culture that should be passed down to the next generation. Tenun Ikat has a very big appeal from local people as well as foreign people. Therefore, Ikat weaving on the other hand has a very high economic value which can have an impact on the community's economy. The research method used is a descriptive method based on ethnography with a qualitative approach. The target subjects in this study were weavers in Ensaid Panjang Village, totaling 15 people. Data collected using data collection techniques using structured observation, interviews and documentation. Through this technique, the data collection tool uses observation guidelines, interview guidelines and documentation. The data obtained will be analyzed using interactive data analysis with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research results from the Ikat Weaving business have a very positive impact on the economic income of the people in Ensaid Panjang Village, as well as the preservation of the Ikat Weaving culture, which is the hallmark of the Dayak Village community, as well as bequeathing to the younger generation so that this Ikat weaving is not extinct by the times.

Abstract

Pengangguran menjadi salah satu masalah serius di Indonesia yang masih sulit diatasi, karena pertambahan jumlah penduduk yang tinggi, tidak diimbangi dengan pertambahan lapangan kerja. Perusahaan semakin selektif menerima karyawan baru, namun minat generasi muda Indonesia dalam berwirausaha saat ini relatif masih rendah. Dalam kondisi ini dunia pendidikan memiliki tanggung jawab untuk meningkatkan minat berwirausaha generasi muda. Semakin bertambahnya lulusan sarjana akan semakin ketat persaingan dalam mencari pekerjaan serta kurangnya lapanga pekerjaan akan menambah jumlah daftar pengangguran. Menjadi penggangguran adalah sesuatu hal yang tidak banyak orang lain inginkan, karena selain merugikan diri sendiri juga tidak bermanfaat bagi masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya mata kuliah kewirausahaan bagi mahasiswa pada progam studi Pendidikan Biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Infoman sejumlah 11 orang mahasisa yang sudah mengikuti mata kuliah kewirausahaan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya mata kuliah kewirausahaan di perguruan tinggi mampu menumbuhkan jiwa entrepreneur dengan cara menanamkan pengetahuan dan minat dalam berwirausaha, menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri dan keterampilan dalam berwirausaha, meningkatkan motivasi untuk menjadi young entrepreneur.
