Abstract

This study aims to describe the criteria for the principles of child-friendly school design in the kindergarten environment, explain the condition of the facilities and infrastructure in the UPI Kindergarten Lab School, and the suitability of the facilities and infrastructure owned by the UPI Kindergarten Lab School with the principles of child-friendly school design. This uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-evaluative method. Data collection techniques are in the form of observation and documentation. The research results related to the criteria for the principles of child-friendly school design in the kindergarten environment are known to have five aspects: security, health, comfort, safety, and convenience. The results of evaluating the suitability between the facilities and infrastructure of the UPI Kindergarten Lab School with the principles of child-friendly school design are 72.66% with good assessment criteria. The most superior and appropriate assessment is found in the assessment of health requirements and is less suitable for safety requirements.

Abstract

Kesehatan lingkungan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan masyarakat, sehingga pengembangan permukiman dengan konsep rumah sehat dapat secara langsung meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat. Selain faktor lingkungan yang dapat ditingkatkan melalui pengembangan fisik, faktor perilaku juga memberikan dampak yang besar terhadap derajat kesehatan masyarakat.  Rumah sehat dapat memberikan berbagai macam manfaat bagi penghuni yang sangat memengaruhi kesehatan baik dari segi pikiran maupun tubuh, termasuk mendorong timbulnya perilaku hidup sehat. Kegiatan ini  bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat terkait lingkungan rumah sehat sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat di Desa Kertawangi, Kecamatan Cisarua, Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Desa ini merupakan salah satu kawasan berkembang dengan potensi wisata yang tinggi. Program ini menemukan bahwa meskipun kondisi fisik area permukiman sudah cukup baik, masih ada beberapa hal yang dapat dan perlu ditingkatkan, termasuk gangguan hewan dan pengetahuan warga terkait konsep rumah sehat. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran, partisipasi, dan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam mengembangkan hunian menjadi rumah sehat dan juga berhuni dengan perilaku hidup sehat, sehingga menjadi langkah awal yang baik dari kegiatan berkelanjutan bagi desa binaan untuk membangun masyarakat yang berketahanan dan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the design principles of child-friendly vocational schools, describe the architectural conditions of the facilities and infrastructure in Jakarta 1 State Vocational School, and explain their suitability based on the design principles of child-friendly vocational schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this research use observation and documentation. The object of this research is the facilities and infrastructure of Jakarta 1 State Vocational School in the scope of a general learning room, a supporting learning room, and a specific learning room for construction and property engineering expertise. The final result explains that the architectural conditions of the facilities and infrastructure in Jakarta 1 State Vocational School are very suitable following the design principles of a child-friendly vocational school, including safety, health, comfort, easiness, and security requirements. The final suitability score is 74.5%. The most suitable assessment is on the Safety criteria, while the lowest is on the Comfort criteria.
